About: I've had dogs my entire life until a couple of years ago when my dog, Allee, passed away. I'm not ready to commit to getting another dog yet but I miss the pitter patter of paws so pet sitting is the perfect option for me. I recently retired, so I have lots of time for walks and tummy rubs with your furry friend. I am available for doggie day care Monday through Friday and for overnight boarding weekdays and some weekends. I have a fenced in yard and no pets. With my flexible schedule, your furry friends will get lots of play time, tummy rubs and potty walks (every 3-4 hours).

About: I understand how important it is to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of while you are away. I provide peace of mind for you when you are away from them. I provide lots of cuddles, playtime, and continuous communication with picture updates about your babies. I have had so much experience growing up on a vet farm with dogs, cats, chickens, horses and cows. I also have pets of my own who need pet sitting once in a while and have found some of the best pet sitters on Rover. I do require a meet and greet to make sure everyone is a good fit before I accept a booking. I am currently available to pet sit for most weekends. We have a fully fenced in yard with a large grassy area for play. Your dog is invited to feel at home with us depending on your preferences. I live in a great safe neighborhood to provide long walks or playtime at the doggy park nearby. I work from home three days a week and am available to take multiple walks depending on the weather. Weekends are adventure time. We can hike, play fetch or run at the two large local parks. We have a fully fenced yard for all day fun. I take multiple walks to take a break from the computer and welcome walks in our safe neighborhood.

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There's always been a cat curled up somewhere or a dog waiting by the door, and taking care of them has never felt like a chore to me. It's just what I do. I work from home, so I'm around a lot during the day and can usually work around your schedule, even for midday visits or last-minute plans. If I'm looking after your pet, you'll hear from me. I like sending updates and photos so you actually get to see how your dog or cat is doing, not just a generic "all good" message. I'm new to Rover, but pets have never been new to me. I'll take care of yours the way I'd want someone to take care of my own. I work remotely, which means I'm home most days and have some flexibility built into my schedule. I can usually fit in midday drop-ins, walks between meetings, or last-minute visits that a lot of sitters with traditional 9-to-5 jobs can't accommodate. Afternoons and evenings tend to be my most open windows, but I'm generally easy to reach and can adjust as needed. I treat your space and your pet's routine with respect. I follow the feeding, medication, and care instructions you provide exactly as given, and I keep your home secure the whole time I'm there. I pay close attention to your pet's body language and comfort level, especially with cats or nervous dogs who need a little more patience before they warm up to someone new. If anything seems off with your pet or your home while I'm there, I'll let you know right away.

About: I grew up with a dog for 18 years, watching him go from playful pup to wise old boy. I've experienced every stage of a dog's life firsthand — young, middle-aged, and senior — so I'm comfortable and caring no matter your dog's age I am able to walk dogs and do drop-in visits. I have a flexible schedule at the moment, so I can adjust to you and your pet's needs! I Since I offer dog walking, most of my care happens out in the neighborhood. I always keep dogs secure on leash, stay attentive, and make sure every walk is safe and enjoyable.

About: Hi! I’m Gemma, a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs through Rover, house sitting, and growing up with dogs of my own. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m very active, so whether your dog loves long walks, hikes, playing fetch, or just relaxing with someone nearby, I’m happy to match their energy. I also have experience with reactive dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and dogs with different routines, so I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s individual needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home. I treat every home with respect, keep things clean, and send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. My goal is always for your dog to feel like they’re spending time with a friend rather than just being watched. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pup! Pet care is something I intentionally schedule my week around. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to provide consistent care and stick closely to your pet’s routine. Whether it’s walks, meals, playtime, medications, or overnight stays, I make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I treat every pet as if they were my own and every home with the utmost respect. I carefully follow your pet’s routine, keep doors and gates secure, and pay close attention on walks and around other animals. I always leave your home clean and tidy, provide regular photo updates, and communicate promptly so you can feel confident your pet is in safe, caring hands.

About: I’ve had two dogs in the past and was the primary caretaker responsible for them. I handled their daily walks, feeding, bathing, playtime, and general routines, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs and understanding what they need. Because I’ve been through the everyday responsibilities of dog ownership, I know how important it is to be patient, attentive, and dependable. I’m confident handling different situations calmly, whether a dog needs extra attention, has a change in behavior, or just needs someone to keep their routine consistent. I’ll treat every dog like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, cared for, and comfortable. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. Because I am home regularly, I can maintain a dog’s normal routine, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and supervision. My schedule is flexible, so I’m able to give pets the time, patience, and attention they need to feel comfortable and cared for. I live in a one-story home with a fenced backyard, which provides a safe and comfortable space for dogs to spend time outside. I always make sure pets are supervised, secure, and cared for according to their owner’s instructions. I understand how important safety and trust are when leaving a pet with someone else, so I focus on creating a calm, reliable, and comfortable environment where each dog feels at home.

About: I’ve been so lucky to have been raised with dogs my whole life, ever since I was young we’ve had two dogs at all times. I love to walk, play and nap with them. Friends, family and family friends have asked me to look after their pets. I love nature and getting to the outdoors and love taking doggy’s with me, and I also love to laze around like a house cat. I love all sorts of animals, dogs, cats, horses, chickens and pigs. I hope to own a farm one day with all sorts of animals running around enjoying their best life. I am currently openly available, I am looking for part-time work, but mostly want to spend time with the pup’s and take them on walks. Animals take care of us if we take care of them. So I love taking my dogs for walks and playing games with them, giving them belly scratches and more. and if they want to snooze I am all good with that too.

Yaisa was awesome for walking Toko and Arya when I was away at work during the day! She showed up on time and would take them for a nice long walk through the neighborhood. My pups were surprisingly well behaved with her and I loved all the pictures she would send me! They always looked happier on days after she visited. I will definitely book again when I need someone to check in with them if I'm out on a day trip or any long work weeks.

About: I have been around dogs and cats all my life, with an occasional bird or rabbit. I love all animals. I am very particular about my own cat’s care, so I am willing and ready to give your pet that same respect. It’s hard to be away and worry about your pet, that’s why it matters who cares for them. I work 3 days a week, I can be flexible on availability the days I am off. It isn’t a set schedule, and varies from week to week. I value my cat as a member of the family. I look forward to being a small part of your pets day. Meeting new animals and getting to interact with them is always fun!

About: I used to breed Golden Retrievers and Toy Yorkies, miss it!! I love dogs so much! I have personally trained all my canines and know how to socialize them. I administered all vaccinations before finding perfect homes for our AKC pups. A special place in my heart will always be for the canines. Life would seem a bit dull without a canine companion! My Ziggy is a senior who gives me experience daily with his minor senior needs. With joyful anticipation I look to meeting you and your fur baby. I am excited to provide for your pups needs and care for him/her like my own! Multiple walks in a huge gated community and lots of love and attention because I work from home. I only take small breeds up to 20 lbs presently. I will allow them to be on the furniture and they will sleep right next to me unless I'm instructed to crate them. My daughter is a vet tech in Cupertino and is very knowledgeable. When you choose me you can rest assure your pet is in good hands♡ I am an inventor and currently working on a project. My work allows me to stay home and I will spend most of the time with your pal. I plan on making great contacts for dog sitting here on Rover and repeat clients for myself and play buddies for my little Ziggy(toy yorkie 1st born from my litters 14years ago) I have a fenced yard, hard wood floors, a lot of dog toys! I accept crated or not. I will allow our friends to sleep on the bed as long as they are free of fleas and bathed. If you allow me I will bathe them for you. I'm accepting dogs up to 20lbs.

Anke is the best of the best. We used Rover for the first time to help out our 2 dogs while we were on vacation. One of our dog needs special help as he is diabetic. Anke gave us full confidence and she discovered skin allergies on our other dog which we had missed. She took utmost care of both of them and we felt very relieved and safe. She would stay in touch with us daily and took charge of all our pet's needs. I would highly recommend Anke -- we are super thankful to have found her.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saratoga. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
