4. Pam S.
“Pam walked my dog every evening for a week. I have a dog who is reactive on a leash when she sees other dogs. Before the first walk, Pam came over to do a meet and greet and understand my dog’s behavior. She found an effective way to avoid the creativeness during their walks. She is very courteous, prompt and clear with communications, and always punctual. She genuinely loves dogs and has experience working with large and small dogs. I could tell my dog was comfortable with her at once and she made sure the my dog could trust her. I would definitely use Pam’s services next time and highly recommend her if you have a dog who can sometimes be difficult to walk. Thank you, Pam!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life until a couple of years ago when my dog, Allee, passed away. I'm not ready to commit to getting another dog yet but I miss the pitter patter of paws so pet sitting is the perfect option for me. I recently retired, so I have lots of time for walks and tummy rubs with your furry friend. I am available for doggie day care Monday through Friday and for overnight boarding weekdays and some weekends. I have a fenced in yard and no pets. With my flexible schedule, your furry friends will get lots of play time, tummy rubs and potty walks (every 3-4 hours).

9. Kelly L.
About: I am a California native, born and raised in Sunnyvale. While growing up, our family was heavily involved in rescue. My home was always the one people brought stray animals to because they knew we would happily care for them. I grew up bottle raising kittens, always understanding the importance of proper care and love. For 18 years I helped run our family pet supply store in Sunnyvale, For Other Living Things. During that time we were a neighborhood resource where people came for advice they knew they could trust. Through the store I worked with many different types of animals, grew my knowledge of dog training and pet care, and really solidified my commitment to fear-free interactions and giving animals choices in their day to day lives. In 2018 I moved to Louisville, Kentucky with my husband and our two dogs. While there I spent 5 years working at the Kentucky Humane Society where I learned so much more about fear-free animal handling, behavior, and how to help animals through trauma. I have a strong interest in helping animals with behavior challenges, animals that are fearful or shut down, or jumpy/mouthy teenage dogs. I have a strong desire to help people whose pets may have a few challenges. I know personally this can make finding a dog walker or caretaker you can trust quite difficult. Over the years I have lived with dogs that resource guard, are reactive to strangers or other dogs on leash, fearful dogs, and even dogs who live in the same home and don’t get along. I understand the difficulties (and importance) of keeping the animals safe, reducing stress, and helping to eliminate or avoid triggers for these behaviors. I am Fear Free Certified, licensed and bonded. I will treat you, your pet(s), and your home with care and respect. As part of my commitment to a Fear Free experience for your pet, I don’t use choke chains, pinch collars, or other aversive devices when working with your dog or cat. If these are tools you currently use, I’m happy to discuss alternatives for our walks! Caring for pets is my full-time focus. I mainly work Monday - Friday dog walking and doing drop in visits, but can occasionally do weekend drop ins when clients are on vacation. I am not always able to accommodate overnights, so please reach out with as much notice as possible if overnights are needed. When caring for your pets in your home, I try to keep to a routine and schedule as much as possible. I find the predictability helps animals better adjust to you not being there.

15. Ashwini A.
“I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Ashwini as a pet sitter on Rover.com. She has always had a natural love for animals and has experience caring for pet dogs for many of my friends. She is not only passionate about animals but also incredibly responsible and reliable. You can always count on her to follow instructions precisely, keep your pet safe and happy, and provide them with love and attention while you're away. During her high school years Ashwini looked after my friend's pet dog, a Bouvier Des Flanders. She not only took him for walks and playtime but also kept my friend updated via text messages, providing them with peace of mind and assurance that Sammy was well cared for. She has also taken care of a pet dog at the owner's house with responsibility and care. I highly recommend her as a loving and responsible pet caregiver.”
