“Yueqi (Olivia) is amazing!! She is professional, responsible, and personable. She is skilled at taking care of cats and pays attention to detail and updates you regularly with tons of cute/funny pictures. Our cats were healthy and happy upon our return. The cats warmed up to Olivia immediately, and it was super easy communicating with her as she responds quickly and gives detailed updates every time she visits. I am very grateful to Olivia and look forward to working with her again. Thank you so much!!”

About: I've been around animals since I was a kid and currently care for a cat and 2 budgies! I've helped friends out in the past by pet sitting cats, chickens, and a tortoise. I also love dogs and do well around them. I love animals of all kinds and I'm experienced and prepared to give your pets the best care possible while you're gone to make sure they feel comfortable and safe! I'm currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time on my hands to care for your animals! Until I go back to university in mid-August, I'm free to take on jobs any time besides between July 9th-July 14th. I will provide incredible care for any pets you may have. I'm patient and understanding of each animal's unique needs and personalities. I can send updates and pictures of each visit so you know your pets are doing well.
“Anahita took excellent care of our cat, while we were away. She was punctual, professional, and very responsive, and her kindness toward our cat gave me complete peace of mind. Seeing photos of Ms. Moushi happily lounging and cuddling with her was so reassuring. We’ll absolutely be using her help again.”

About: I'm responsible, easygoing, and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I've been wanting to get a dog of my own, but the timing isn't quite right yet. Caring for dogs through Rover is a great opportunity for me to spend time with them and spend more time outdoors. I work full time as a manager during the day, so I focus on providing care before and after work, in the evenings after 4:00pm, and on weekends. While I'm newer to pet sitting, I have lived with over 12 dogs and cats. I take safety and trust very seriously. As a manager in my full time career, I am dependable and attentive to details. I understand that every dog has unique needs.
“Ching-Chi was absolutely amazing! She takes great care of your furry loved ones! She provided excellent service! I had her “drop in” on my cat Darla while I was away. She was always on time, and sent me daily updates and photos. She followed my instructions perfectly. In fact, I would say she went above and beyond, and exceeded my expectations. I would 100% ask her to watch my cat again. 10/10 highly recommend Ching-Chi!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting, walking, and providing overnight care for several years, working with dogs of all sizes—from Chihuahuas to Great Dane mixes. I’m comfortable with energetic, playful dogs as well as shy or fearful pups who need patience and reassurance. For the past several months, I’ve taken shelter dogs on field trips through County of Santa Clara Animal Services, where I’ve gained experience handling dogs in new environments, on hikes, and in stimulating settings. This has strengthened my leash handling, situational awareness, and ability to read canine body language. I also have experience with both senior dogs and puppies. I understand that seniors may need a slower pace and gentle care, while puppies require consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, exercised, and loved while you’re away :) As a student, I have a structured but flexible schedule which allows me to consistently fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m typically available for morning, midday, and evening drop-in visits, and I plan my class schedule to allow time for reliable pet care commitments. Pet care fits naturally into my week—whether that means morning walks before class, midday drop-ins, or evening visits and overnights. I’m organized and intentional about managing my time, so I only accept bookings I can fully commit to. On weekends, I have even greater flexibility for longer visits, extended stays, or multiple drop-ins per day. I prioritize clear communication and reliability so you can feel confident your pet is in consistent, attentive care! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, walk routes, house rules, and any specific behavioral needs. Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, gates, and harnesses, remain attentive on walks, and closely monitor pets during visits. I’m mindful of potential hazards and ensure your home is left exactly as I found it—clean, secure, and respected. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and home is a big responsibility, and I treat both with the highest level of care and respect.
“Sydney was lovely! She came the day before to meet birdie and familiarize herself with my place, which was greatly appreciated. Sydney sent me photos of birdie that made it obvious birdie loved her time with Sydney. I don’t trust many people with birdie, but I trust Sydney. I will definitely book again!”

“i see my cats LIGHT UP when kate stops by. they have so much fun together and it takes the stress off leaving them knowing how well they are being loved and cared for. can’t recommend highly enough!”

“Linda has been great with Waffles. She is reliable, always responds quickly to messages, and has helped me out on short notice when my plans changed suddenly. Waffles clearly has a great time from the cute pics Linda always shares. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone!”
“Stacey is not only kind and friendly, but she was super attentive to our kitties’ specific dynamic and needs! She went above and beyond for our pets, which made our absence that much smoother. Our kitties love her, we would 150% recommend her!!”

About: I have fostered dogs and cats in my home growing up since I was child. It was hard not to adopt them for my own, always happy to have them in my presence and care. I’m working part time currently as a behavioral technician. I am free to care for animals in the morning before work and evening to night. I am free all weekend. I have a fenced backyard, side yard, and the pets would be fine to stay in my home as well. I do have 2 dogs, a golden doodle and an Irish doodle, both very friendly. I have a cat household as well with 3 elderly cats.
“Michelle was great with our pups! Responded last minute to our request for a drop in visit during a family emergency and she was great. Sent nice photos and pups seemed to like her. Will definitely use her services again! Thanks Michelle!”

“Sejla is amazing! She took excellent care of my kitty and sent comprehensive updates each visit. My cat is a big people kitty, so I always worry about her when I leave. It was a relief to know she was in such good hands with Sejla.”

“I would adopt Haley if I could. All around good person, responsible, and our cat Cleo adores her! She send so many great photos. We never worry about Cleo (or our home) when Haley is taking care of her.”

About: I grew up with cats which was an awesome part of my childhood. More recently I've had the pleasure of having labradors. I recently lost my senior labrador of 13 years 8 months. I've also cared for friends and family cats and dogs of all varieties. I enjoy getting to know the pets personality, quirks and preferences. I enjoy meeting them all, young and old, spry and calm, toy chaser or mellow chewer. I worked as a Vet Tech trainee for 18 months while enrolled in Vet Tech classes at Foothill College. I work from home or anywhere with WiFi access. My work is flexible as far as schedule so I can work with the dogs schedule. I have a yard which has chicken netting to prevent the dog going down into the creek. But I supervise dogs closely when they are outside.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Champagne Fountain
Jeanne was on time the two mornings to feed our feral cats which are three to four of them, though these cats she will not see since they hide until she leaves our front yard. Yet, we invited her into our front room when she came to our front door and Jeanne has a wonderful spirit who can talk about just about anything plus no shyness is there about her. Jeanne smiles, laughs and keeps eye contact while we all talked also. Lovely personality she has... I'm glad she lives close by us too. Thank you. Sincerely, Mrs. Bonnie Kellerby

This was my first experience using Rover, and I am so happy that I found Sydney. From the moment I contacted her, she was punctual, kind, and professional. She immediately connected with my cat, which gave me great peace of mind. The photos and updates she sent showed a happy and relaxed cat, and it was clear that he was receiving excellent care. I am truly grateful for the attention, kindness, and dedication Sydney showed throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend her and would gladly book with her again.

Haotian is a great cat sitter, reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. She handled all the essentials perfectly and spent quality time giving my cat attention and play. I really appreciated all the daily updates and photos. My cat was relaxed and happy when I returned. Highly recommend!

Ching-Chi did a wonderful job caring for our pets. She came on time for the drop-in visits every day, and was very communicative, providing lots of photos of our happy pets. She is very conscientious and professional as well as being kind to the animals she cares for. I highly recommend her!

Chloe is flexible, accommodating and very professional! We just moved to the area and were nervous to find a new pet sitter, but she made us feel so comfortable. We have a blind dog, and Chloe was confident in navigating it. She even made a point to research another medical condition that my dog has! Another plus is that our dog and cat usually aren't very social with strangers, but they both warmed up to her pretty easily!

Victoria did a great job taking care of our cat lord Reggae when we were away for the long weekend. Reggae was still getting used to the new environment and Victoria made sure he was well fed and engaged and we came back seeing Reggae looking comfy and at ease.

Joanna was a wonderful cat sitter! She took great care of my cats, Frank and Leonard. One of my cats is very shy with new people, and she was able to get him to come out and play almost every day. We will definitely be booking her again the next time we go out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
