About: I have lived with animals (mostly dogs and one cat) my entire life. I started off with taking care of my own dogs and then volunteered at shelters throughout high school and undergraduate school. I have house sat and animal sat for friends and family off and on since 2022. I've watched over a range of animal personalities from very excitable and energetic to reactive and anxious. I also find it very important to maintain grooming, hygiene, and activity/mental stimulation for your pets. I do not have experience with dog training, however, I have successfully trained my own dogs with basic commands. I moved out to the Bay Area 2 years ago to be a full-time PhD student at Palo Alto University. While I do have work and school, I am remote most days in the week (Thursday through Monday), so I can dedicate the time and care your pet needs :) I appreciate having an average schedule including times they go outside, walks, feeding, and hygiene so I can help your pet have as smooth of a transition as possible. I tend to follow your pet's cues and slowly build the trust between us. I love giving them affection while maintaining the training and expectations you have. I like to take pictures and/or videos for you so you can get your daily dose of your pet!

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There's always been a cat curled up somewhere or a dog waiting by the door, and taking care of them has never felt like a chore to me. It's just what I do. I work from home, so I'm around a lot during the day and can usually work around your schedule, even for midday visits or last-minute plans. If I'm looking after your pet, you'll hear from me. I like sending updates and photos so you actually get to see how your dog or cat is doing, not just a generic "all good" message. I'm new to Rover, but pets have never been new to me. I'll take care of yours the way I'd want someone to take care of my own. I work remotely, which means I'm home most days and have some flexibility built into my schedule. I can usually fit in midday drop-ins, walks between meetings, or last-minute visits that a lot of sitters with traditional 9-to-5 jobs can't accommodate. Afternoons and evenings tend to be my most open windows, but I'm generally easy to reach and can adjust as needed. I treat your space and your pet's routine with respect. I follow the feeding, medication, and care instructions you provide exactly as given, and I keep your home secure the whole time I'm there. I pay close attention to your pet's body language and comfort level, especially with cats or nervous dogs who need a little more patience before they warm up to someone new. If anything seems off with your pet or your home while I'm there, I'll let you know right away.

About: I have 2 dogs that are the absolute loves of my life. I’ve had dogs my whole life and always watch friends dogs and provide exceptional care! What can I say, I like dogs more than people!! I have a flexible work from home schedule and a large flat fenced yard. I love to take dogs for hikes and walks and provide food, pets and care as needed! I am very attuned and aware of dogs. If something seems off, I will take immediate action. I ensure food and treat schedules are adhered to and overall will just love and cuddle and pet and walk your dog! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, walk routes, house rules, and any specific behavioral needs. Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, gates, and harnesses, remain attentive on walks, and closely monitor pets during visits. I’m mindful of potential hazards and ensure your home is left exactly as I found it—clean, secure, and respected. In my well-traveled journey, I have gained working vet tech experience, knowledge, and wisdom that spans over 30 years. My family and I founded a sanctuary for animals in Washington State that the SPCA recognized. We rescued, rehabilitated, trained, and provided education classes for the care and proper nutrition of all creatures, great and small. We have worked tirelessly with the SPCA for the welfare and prevention of animal cruelty and care.
