About: I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, and other animals all my life! I rescue animals when I can, have fostered, bottle fed, treated injuries, given injections and medications to many animals. Animals are my comfort zone- just being around them is my joy! I can do short walks, herding dog games, feed, or provide overnight care. I especially love herding and other working breed dogs, and typically get along with even difficult animals (feral cats for example!) I would love to meet you and your pets! I am a recently retired high school teacher sill working part time at UCSC, so am available most days to care for your pets. I have 2 dogs and 2 kitties at home, bit can easily help out pet parents who need extra walks, play time, or vacation care! My pets are my family (fur babies!) i will care for your pets like my own! I can care for your pets in your home- the least stressful for them! Or take them to a park, hikes, or a leisurely walk. In your home I will make sure to keep everything tidy, and treat your pets as my family- lots of snuggles and playtime!

About: Hi! My name is Megan, and I'm a college student home for the summer with a flexible schedule thanks to my online classes. I'm a huge animal lover—especially cats—which is why you'll notice a lot of my photos are with cats! I've been caring for my mom's boss's cats for the past 1–2 years, and I've also helped care for and walk my friends' dogs. On top of that, I've owned guinea pigs for over 5 years, so I'm comfortable caring for pets of all kinds. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I may be younger than some sitters, but I'm dependable, patient, and genuinely excited to gain more experience doing something I love. Pet sitting is also helping me fund my college education, so I truly appreciate every pet parent, their booking, and the trust that comes with it. When your pet is with me, I'll treat them like they're my own. I'll follow your instructions carefully, keep their routine consistent, and send plenty of photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I’m a very active person in my daily life, so I will have no issues with walking, carrying, or other high energy activities I may need to do with your pet! I’m currently enrolled in online classes for college, which only take place in the afternoons and gives me a lot of free time in the mornings and evenings. My weekends are also completely free. I keep my schedule organized and am happy to work with pet owners to find times that fit both our schedules. I communicate clearly, plan ahead, and do my best to be as flexible and accommodating as possible to provide reliable care for your pets. I always do my best to maintain every pet’s daily routine to make them feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away.. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home for an extended period of time or stopping by for quick visits, I’ll follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and anything else you need. I believe every pet deserves patience, attention, and plenty of love, and I'll make sure they are well cared for. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you are aware of what your pet is up to, and to give you a little peace of mind while you’re away from them!

“Chris was an amazing sitter for our little guy, Toby! After meeting Chris for the first time and seeing him with our dog, I knew he would be a good fit and had no qualms about having him take care of Toby. We booked Chris for 5 days while we went to visit family out of town. Our 5 day trip was unexpectedly extended when a snow storm cancelled our flight and we were unable to get on a new flight for another 5 days. Luckily, Chris was available (this was the week of Christmas and NYE!) and had no problem adjusting to our delay. He even went to the store to buy more dog food when we ran out! Overall, Chris is a really friendly guy and I will definitely book with him whenever we are in need!”

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There's always been a cat curled up somewhere or a dog waiting by the door, and taking care of them has never felt like a chore to me. It's just what I do. I work from home, so I'm around a lot during the day and can usually work around your schedule, even for midday visits or last-minute plans. If I'm looking after your pet, you'll hear from me. I like sending updates and photos so you actually get to see how your dog or cat is doing, not just a generic "all good" message. I'm new to Rover, but pets have never been new to me. I'll take care of yours the way I'd want someone to take care of my own. I work remotely, which means I'm home most days and have some flexibility built into my schedule. I can usually fit in midday drop-ins, walks between meetings, or last-minute visits that a lot of sitters with traditional 9-to-5 jobs can't accommodate. Afternoons and evenings tend to be my most open windows, but I'm generally easy to reach and can adjust as needed. I treat your space and your pet's routine with respect. I follow the feeding, medication, and care instructions you provide exactly as given, and I keep your home secure the whole time I'm there. I pay close attention to your pet's body language and comfort level, especially with cats or nervous dogs who need a little more patience before they warm up to someone new. If anything seems off with your pet or your home while I'm there, I'll let you know right away.

About: I have 2 dogs that are the absolute loves of my life. I’ve had dogs my whole life and always watch friends dogs and provide exceptional care! What can I say, I like dogs more than people!! I have a flexible work from home schedule and a large flat fenced yard. I love to take dogs for hikes and walks and provide food, pets and care as needed! I am very attuned and aware of dogs. If something seems off, I will take immediate action. I ensure food and treat schedules are adhered to and overall will just love and cuddle and pet and walk your dog! “I wasn't sure how my cats would do with someone they didn't know, but any concerns disappeared when Nicole came by prior to my pet sitting needs in order to meet the cats and get the run down on what the cats would need while I was away on business. Zigs, in particular, is generally weary of new people, but she warmed up to Nicole pretty much straight away, and it wasn't long after that Cheddars was also looking for scritches. To say it was a huge relief to have Nicole look after my fur babies while I was away for nearly a week is an understatement. I have a couple of cat cams so I can look in on them when I'm away, and the history of what was recorded is available for me to check. When I checked in each day, I saw Nicole sitting on the floor playing with and giving scritches to both cats. At one point, Zigs was even following her! When I returned home, both cats were calm and relaxed. They got their nasty canned food every day, fresh water, and all three litter boxes cleaned. They were clearly well cared for while I was away, above and beyond just feeding them and cleaning litter boxes. I will 100% check Nicole's availability anytime I need to have my fur babies looked after and spoiled!”

About: I’ve lived and taken care of dogs and cats all my life. I am the designated house/pet sitter for all of my friends and family whenever they go on vacation. I am going back to school after a career pivot and figured this was a good opportunity to leverage my love of animals to make some extra money for school I’m currently a student so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your little ones! I am a single grandmother raising my only granddaughter, I wanted her to experience the unconditional love God's creatures can bring to her daily life. Rover has allowed me to grow my passion and experience into a loving home business in the Bay area area I am a home-based professional dog care specialist so I can be a hands-on grandmother while raising my granddaughter. About: Aloha , I'm Kara! I’m back from having my services on away mode. I’m a San Jose native. I grew up having dogs I once had a chow/lab mix and I now have a golden retriever. I have experience with all dogs of all sizes from 8 week old puppies to full grown golden retrievers. I love meeting new dogs and attending to each of their needs. I will also take your dog to the dog park along with my 9 year old golden as well ( If given the ok from you to take your dog the park). I am on my feet daily, and would like to keep your pet healthy and happy, whether it be a drop in, walk , or home sitting. I can assure you that your dog will be treated with lots of love and that your Rover experience is a pawstive one! I also will require a meet and greet before house sitting. I currently work full time 9am-4pm but dog sit in between that and I available most weekends and holidays. I can do drop in visits anytime. If I am house sitting I will follow any of your preferences to ensure your pet is happy while you are away. I treat your dog as if they were my own.
