About: I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, and other animals all my life! I rescue animals when I can, have fostered, bottle fed, treated injuries, given injections and medications to many animals. Animals are my comfort zone- just being around them is my joy! I can do short walks, herding dog games, feed, or provide overnight care. I especially love herding and other working breed dogs, and typically get along with even difficult animals (feral cats for example!) I would love to meet you and your pets! I am a recently retired high school teacher sill working part time at UCSC, so am available most days to care for your pets. I have 2 dogs and 2 kitties at home, bit can easily help out pet parents who need extra walks, play time, or vacation care! My pets are my family (fur babies!) i will care for your pets like my own! I can care for your pets in your home- the least stressful for them! Or take them to a park, hikes, or a leisurely walk. In your home I will make sure to keep everything tidy, and treat your pets as my family- lots of snuggles and playtime!

About: I've had dogs my whole life, and I truly believe that they are a part of the family. I grew up hiking, training, and playing with my own dogs, as well as pet-sitting for my friends and family in high school. My two childhood dogs were both big and high-energy, so I have experience with dealing with intense personalities-from hyper puppies to senior dogs with health issues. I am also used to walking and taking care of two dogs at once, so if you have more than one pet, I am prepared. Most of all, I love seeing dogs happy, whether that be through taking them on walks or giving them love and attention. I am a UCSB student, but I am home for the summer (until I go back to school in mid-September), so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur-babies! I am available anytime of day, all days of the week. I am extremely responsible and detail-oriented, and I will do whatever I can to make sure your pets are safe and happy. I will send frequent updates and pictures as I understand the anxiousness that can come from being separated from your pet. I also have experience with taking care of dogs that need to take frequent medication or have other ailments, as my first dog (an Akita mix) was seizure prone and arthritic but, with much love and care, lived to be 16. She recently passed, so I am eager to love your dogs as if they were my own.

About: I have lived with animals (mostly dogs and one cat) my entire life. I started off with taking care of my own dogs and then volunteered at shelters throughout high school and undergraduate school. I have house sat and animal sat for friends and family off and on since 2022. I've watched over a range of animal personalities from very excitable and energetic to reactive and anxious. I also find it very important to maintain grooming, hygiene, and activity/mental stimulation for your pets. I do not have experience with dog training, however, I have successfully trained my own dogs with basic commands. I moved out to the Bay Area 2 years ago to be a full-time PhD student at Palo Alto University. While I do have work and school, I am remote most days in the week (Thursday through Monday), so I can dedicate the time and care your pet needs :) I appreciate having an average schedule including times they go outside, walks, feeding, and hygiene so I can help your pet have as smooth of a transition as possible. I tend to follow your pet's cues and slowly build the trust between us. I love giving them affection while maintaining the training and expectations you have. I like to take pictures and/or videos for you so you can get your daily dose of your pet!

About: I’m a 21 year old college graduate looking to fulfill her hopes of pet setting once again! Being a full time student meant busy weeks, leaving no time for pet care. Something I actively did before transferring to UCSC. But with this newfound, post-graduate freedom, I’m eager to get back into the gig. Besides caring for my own kitties, I’ve worked with 7 clients over the past four years. All of which have been dog sitting gigs, with one job including an additional 3 cats (if that makes sense haha). And in my time as a sitter I’ve had four consistent clients. Additionally, I’m more than willing to sit for most dogs/ cats regardless of age, size, energy level, etc. It is my job (and such a privilege) to ensure their needs are met! Worth a mention - I’ve not had any experience in pet training, but I’m committed to being the best companion to the little loves! I can’t wait to connect with you and your fur-babies! About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old, and I'm a recent cat mom of a little under a year. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, too. I'm currently working full-time at a school, but I'm available every weekday after 4 pm and all day on the weekends to stay the night :) I will respect your space and leave it as I found it. Communication is my top priority, so if there's an issue, I'll communicate my concern as soon as it presents itself.

About: Hi !! I started house-sitting for my family members pets since high school. Since then, I have been recommended by many close friends of my family and I'm excited to branch out further into the Bay Area ! I have cared for pets of all ages, including several senior animals that I still regularly work with. Along with dogs and cats, I also have some experience with reptile care ! A lot of the clients I've worked with know me for my calm disposition when it comes to animals, so even the most anxious pets will feel safe in my care !! For walks and drop-ins I am available from 9am-4pm during the weekdays, and full time during weekends! Pets are a part of the family just as much as everyone else, so I like to treat them with the same courtesy! “Nora is a GIFT! About a year ago my now 14 year-old cat Riley abruptly lost a significant amount of weight and bloodwork showed some kind of significant liver event though nothing was evident in an XRAY or ultrasound. He was prescribed two ongoing medications to support his liver & reduce inflammation; a small pill that needs to absorb during a fast (no food for 2 hours before and 1 hour after) and a liquid medication that needs to be given with food. In addition to the with/without food medications complexity, successfully pilling a cat every day requires a deft hand—pretty straightforward for someone who’s good at it, increasingly difficult each day for anyone who isn’t. Add to the equation both Riley and his brother Ash are initially shy with strangers. All things considered to me the situation seemed like a complicated ask for a pet sitter, so over the past year I hadn’t gone away on any trips longer than 2-3 days. In the face of a terminal illness diagnosis in my direct family I came to terms with having to hope for the best using a pet sitter for an 8 day family vacation though I was very concerned about how Riley would be affected by the extended change in routine. Enter Nora; highly intelligent, highly *attuned* (to the pets & the people), instantly trustworthy, and very gracious, a rare combination of total professionalism & grounded compassion. Though Nora was only here for about an hour each day her presence *visibly improved* Riley’s health. I didn’t know it was possible to come home from being away for 8 days to find Riley noticeably fluffier and more energetic than when I left, but that’s the magic that unfolded under Nora’s care. She also sent me pictures of Riley and Ash every day and let me know how they were each doing, sharing her sophisticated curiosity & creativity getting Riley to eat more and Ash to gradually come out of his shyness with clear warmth towards both of them. It’s extremely clear Nora *truly cares* and is keenly observant and exceptionally competent, a combination that made it possible for me to relax so much more on my trip.
