“Bianca was so great with Olive! Her communication and care for her was fantastic. She understood olives quirks and put our tips and commands to work. I had a last minute meeting come up and she extended the sit without issue. So happy to have found and met Bianca!”

“My pup, Maggie, had the time of her life at Marina’s house! She played and ran endlessly with Marina’s dogs, Luna and Onyx. I know both of these things because Marina sent me photos and video of Maggie throughout her day there. We can’t wait for Maggie to go back, thank you Marina!”

“Gene did a great job in watching my dog Sam. He sent me photos and updates of Sam enjoying his walk and stay. Gene is kind and made me feel comfortable that Sam is safe and well cared for. I will definitely book his services again.”
“Bhumi seems like a very nice woman, and I believe she takes care of Coco nicely and patiently. If she can send a text or a picture of Coco to show me how she is doing, that would help me feel more relaxed, especially at the beginning of the few times.”

“Norelvis and her husband came in so clutch for our little demon corgs because we had to go to a wedding in Los Gatos 😭 Their girl Ai kauri is also such a sweetheart. Cannot recommend enuff!!”

About: Hi! I’m Angelika, and I absolutely love spending time with animals of all kinds. I’ve loved animals my whole life. Growing up, our family home was full of pets, from rodents like mice, guinea pigs, rats, and hamsters, to rabbits, cats, turtles, parrots, and a dog I adored who passed away three years ago. I’ve walked and cared for dogs and cats since childhood, including helping my grandmother and neighbors with their pets, walking them and spending time with them whenever needed. Right now I don’t have a pet of my own because I’m traveling a lot, but I’d love to help care for other people’s furry friends. I’m responsible, attentive, and I love spending time with animals. I enjoy walking them, playing with them, and making sure they feel safe and happy. I can’t wait to meet your pets and give them lots of love while you’re away! I am currently looking for a full-time job and I'm pretty flexible. In the meantime I have plenty of free time so I’m available to take care of your pets anytime! 😊 I make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved in their own home. I follow the owner’s instructions, give plenty of attention, play, and walks, and keep everything clean and secure 🫶🏼
About: I am a responsible, nurturing and kind individual who loves all animals. I have owned small dogs, large dogs, a cat, aquatic pets, and taken care of many of my friends', family members' pets and been referred to many to care for their dogs and cats. In my last relationship I took full responsibility for three large dogs, one which was a rescue adopted as a puppy, (feeding, administering medications, training, exercise, bathing, grooming, vet visits) for about 5 years. I am currently working part-time and taking a break from school while I prepare to apply to a health profession program. This gives me a very open and flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and overnight care. Because of my flexible availability, I can devote plenty of time and attention to your pet, ensuring they stay on their normal routine with regular walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and lots of love and companionship. I look forward to working with you and providing your pet with the compassionate, dependable care they deserve while you're away! I provide loving, reliable pet care in your home using your pet's own supplies to help keep their routine as normal as possible. I use the food, treats, toys, bedding, leashes, litter, medications, and any other pet essentials you provide, so I don't bring my own pet supplies. This helps your pet stay comfortable in their familiar environment while you're away. I live in a quiet, small neighborhood with about 0.75 acres of yard space and keep a clean, tidy home with plenty of room for pets to roam and relax. If boarding or daycare is arranged at my home, I will use any pet supplies you provide to maintain your pet's routine and comfort. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your pet like family, giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.
“My 90-pound boy just spend three days with Shannon for daycare. This was his second visit with her and her wonderful family, and we couldn't be happier with them! My pup was happy and relaxed at the end of the day, they took him for lots of walks, and Shannon was great with communication. He can't wait to go back!”

“I am so happy Enzo got to spend time with Anusha. He was such a happy tired boy, by the time I picked him up he was ready for a long nap. She did a fantastic job providing me with videos of him playing in her beautiful backyard, snuggling and napping. And really happy she had another dog for Enzo to play with. She walked him and played fetch. I would absolutely give Anusha five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ she was also very friendly and nice. 👍 I am sure Enzo will be happy to be dropped off to be puppy-sat again sometime soon.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their pets’ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore it’s very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. They can also meet other dogs as well. As a family, we are comfortable with being around furry friends. We volunteer with my daughters at a local farm cleaning, caring, patting…. Love it! Our own cat-Zeytin is very calm and friendly. We love to play, walk, cuddle, spend some quiet time with our pet and guest pets and will do the same with yours, too. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! Nevin
“Nancy was the perfect match for my little guy. And her home environment was like little dog heaven on earth. Everything worked out seamlessly. I would definitely rebook with Nancy without hesitation! Many thanks!”

“Our dog had a good day with Joshua and Evangeline! They are nice people and sent cute pictures of the dog. I appreciated that they were able to accept a fairly last-minute care request too.”

“So delighted to find Madhumita. Her quiet affectionate calm and patience letting my dog, who has a trauma history, come our of his shell was just what he needed to feel comfortable. Her elderly lab is also a friendly, calm, and reassuring presence. So happy to see my pup relax and make himself at home-- in her home!”

“Sofiya was very kind. It was my first time leaving my dog with someone. She sent pictures of Westley so I felt better about leaving him. He looked like he was having a wonderful time. He was in a great mood when I picked him up!”

Marina and Alec were wonderful to communicate with and took the best care of our Luna girl. They have an amazing setup for the doggies, they sent pictures and videos throughout the day, and we felt completely at ease knowing that Luna was in such good hands. We definitely will hope they're available next time we're in town!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
