“My Goldendoodle, Livingstone, loves his daycare visits with Daniela and Ronan. They take great care of him, and are extremely accommodating with me. Plenty of photos and videos, and Livingstone ate well and got plenty of outside play time. Thank you both!”

“Sandy really loved her time with Denise and Quarky. She tried to run back into Denise's house as we were putting her in the car, so we'll definitely have to book again, the next time we're in Santa Cruz. Denise was easy to communicate with and drop-off/pick-up was a breeze.”

“Thank you so much for watching Fifi on such short notice and being so patient with my delayed drop off time. I appreciate all of the prompt communication and pictures, and I could tell Fifi was happy and comfortable. I cannot thank you again enough. 🙏 💕”

“Nikki was better than great. She took such good care of Oliver. Her dogs Whiskey and Pickle were so well behaved and played great with Oliver. She took pictures during the day and sent them to me. I would definitely book with her again. I would never try anyone else in this area unless she was busy.”

“Jenna was able to take in my dog last minute, you can really tell she loves dogs. She updated me and sent pictures of my girl while she was staying with them! I would definitely recommend and would book again. ❤️”

“Kara was wonderful! She was able to take care of Jake last minute, was flexible and easy to work with. Communication was great, got lots of cute photos while she cared for him, and took him on a hike which he loves. Would love to work with Kara again when I am in the area next time. Highly recommend!”

“Nancy was the perfect match for my little guy. And her home environment was like little dog heaven on earth. Everything worked out seamlessly. I would definitely rebook with Nancy without hesitation! Many thanks!”

About: I raised my own working breed dog from when he was a puppy and have continuously worked on training and developing a relationship with him based on positive reinforcement, trust, and lots of love. I believe in caring for our fur babies like the intelligent, sweet, and sensitive gifts that they are to us, and tuning it each pet’s individual needs and personalities. I love to exercise and be outdoors and you can find me and my dog out hiking, trail running, playing fetch, and enjoying what nature has to offer. And after some exercise and fun outside, there’s nothing better than to come home and rest for snuggles and naps. As someone who has used pet sitting services for my own dog many times, I know how important and appreciated it is to receive clear communication and photos from the sitter, so I make sure to send updates so that you have peace of mind that all is taken care of. I have years of experience with pet and house sitting and am a responsible, communicative, tidy, and caring individual. I work part-time and mostly remote so I am usually at home or out with my dog at the park, the beach, or on the trails. I take my own dog out for exercise and time outside so it will be an easy addition to take your dog(s) out too! I’m happy to tailor the activities to your pet’s needs, and also provide lots of attention and cuddles.

“Amber and her adorable son took amazing care of 6lb senior Sophie! Great communication before and during the stay. I wasn't sure how Sophie would adjust but Amber has the magic touch and all went incredibly well. I'd definitely book with Amber again!”

“Gene did a great job in watching my dog Sam. He sent me photos and updates of Sam enjoying his walk and stay. Gene is kind and made me feel comfortable that Sam is safe and well cared for. I will definitely book his services again.”
“Marina is so sweet and mellow, just the perfect energy. We came into town for a graduation and needed to have 15 year old Chili cared for during the non-pet friendly times. We didn't worry once. Marina took Chili for beach walks and sent pictures. She was great! Absolutely booking if we come back to Santa Cruz. You guys are lucky to have someone so considerate locally!”

About: I adopted my dog at 6 weeks old and he has not gotten out of the puppy phase until he was 4 years old. Throughout those years I've learned to redirect his attention onto something else using treats and words that he can understand. I handle more active/ hyper dogs well during walks and occasionally like to run with them too to burn some energy. Im currently a full- time student with the afternoons free everyday. I have no class on Tuesday and Thursday so I can my spend time with dogs full-time those days! As well as weekends. I like to prioritize enrichment/play and food when I care for a pet because feeding time varies based on each animal. Play time is also important because it's their enrichment time and it is what will tire the pet the best way possible at the end of the day. Play time also allows me to bond with the pet and enjoy my time doing so. I find it be the most rewarding part of taking care of pets.
“So glad we found Shannon and Chris!! They are clearly dog people and made our pup feel right at home. He can have his quirks so we’re grateful that they were so understanding and easygoing. We’ll definitely book with them again!”

“Inga had a lovely time spending the day with Stacey and Avihay and their two doggies. She had a walk and came home calm and happy. She will return to visit them again soon.”

Mission Springs dog parents share their Rover experiences
Shannon and her husband and kids took such amazing care of my (very large, somewhat rowdy) dog. I was in town on a business trip and needed a place for him to stay each day while I was at the office. Shannon opened her home, yard, and couch to my pup, and he came home each evening so happy! We will definitely ask Shannon to care for him again the next time we are in town.
