Shannon is certainly knowledgeable and experienced in caring for dogs, responsible, kept my pup safe, and supported Daisy's quirks and needs. She and her family followed my requests and instructions perfectly. Shannon sent pictures, which my husband and I so appreciated, and was responsive and clear in all her communications. She was flexible when I requested a time change for drop off and was fine when I wanted to come a bit earlier than scheduled for pick up. Daisy will be very excited, and I will be very happy & confident leaving her again with Shannon ~ I highly recommend her to care for your pet! You get her and her wonderful family!”

About: My husband and I have a house with a fenced yard, dog door, and plenty of toys for dogs. Our dog is very friendly to other dogs and loves to play. We usually take at least two walks per day (morning and afternoon) and play with the doggies as well. We have been dog owners for nearly 15 years and have dog sat for friends for longer. Most of our recent dog sitting has been for our friends' dogs, but we have also fostered dogs. We love dogs and our dog loves doggy friends, so we would be happy to watch your pup! One of us is generally home teleworking everyday so the dogs are not left alone. We have experience giving medication and with young and old dogs. We both work full time but have work from home schedules that allow one of us to be home with the dogs everyday. We generally do a morning 15-20 minute walk and an evening 45 minute walk. I have a fenced yard, dog door, and friendly dog to keep your dog company. We also can take your dog out for bathroom breaks through the day since someone is nearly always working from home.

I can care in your home if that is best, or use a secure fenced space if that fits your plan. We start with a meet and greet to confirm a good fit. I am flexible and build the day around your pet. Share your ideal timing and I will match it. I can do early mornings, midday check ins, and evenings. Walks, hikes, playtime, and rest are set to your dog’s energy and the weather. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains, so nature walks are easy when approved. Communication is steady, with updates after each visit or at set times you choose. If your pet needs a different rhythm, we adjust. Friendly behavior is required. I do not accept aggressive dogs. We begin with a meet and greet to confirm fit and discuss needs. I follow your vet and emergency instructions and keep contacts on hand. On walks I use secure leashes and obey local rules. At home I maintain clean spaces, safe gates, and clear boundaries. I have a resident cat, but I can arrange care without any cat contact if you prefer. I can provide care in your home, or make use of a fenced area if that suits your dog. Your preferences guide every decision.

With a secure courtyard and a spacious, private backyard for play, enrichment, and relaxation, your dog will have plenty of safe space to explore. Boarding pups are kenneled overnight from about 9 pm to 6 am, with a potty walk right before bed and again first thing in the morning while my coffee brews. Your pup can count on at least an hour of daily exercise—often more—and will be fed according to your established routine, with fresh water always available. When I’m home, pups are free to roam the house, enjoying companionship and comfort alongside our friendly indoor-outdoor cat.
