Carmen has made several check ins with our two kitties and one dog. They love her, even our very shy kitty! Both of our kitties require meds and Carmen was able to give them their meds with no issues. I would highly recommend Carmen her love of animals is very evident.

About: Hi, I'm Jenn! Having six years of experience as a vet tech, six years of experience caring for pets professionally, and caring for my personal furry companions animals for over 6o years, I bring an exceptional blend of experience, care, and responsibility to my pet care. I have a huge heart for cats and dogs and love to see them happy in their environment. My sensitive nature allows me to be highly attuned to animals and their needs. Others have often commented on my ability to anticipate the needs of people and animals before they are aware of them. I believe in the health and wellbeing of all living things. When your animal is under my care, you can be assured they are receiving the nurturing and care they deserve. I am available for walking, visits, boarding, and more. Please inquire for your particular needs and desires for your pet in your absence. I would be happy to keep your pet loved and safe while you are away. Injections, special needs, training/rehabilitation I am in a very open and expansive time currently in life. I am widely available round the clock for your pets needs. I am available daytime, evenings, and weekends. I do not have a fenced yard on the property I live on in the country, so when boarding with me, dogs will be on leash when outdoors. They will enjoy the many walks they will have around here. When at your home, I take care of your fur baby and belongs with the utmost respect and safety.

Mámoo is absolutely wonderful with Kato (my high-energy female husky). It’s easy to see the care and enthusiasm they bring to every visit. Kato gets excited as soon as she sees them. Mámoo plays, runs, and engages with her in a way that matches her energy. It’s clear they enjoy spending time together. I am confident Kato is in such loving hands and capable hands.

About: I’ve taken care of, and loved, animals since I was a child. Including my own family dog who is now 17, cats, chickens, and snakes. I recently graduated and am missing my puppy more than ever. While I can’t have pets of my own right now I’d love to help care for yours! I’m available afternoons, and evenings on weekdays, and all day on weekends. My work schedule is flexible and can be easily adapted to suit the needs of you and your pet. I have a fenced in yard and spacious house located within a lovely neighborhood with it’s own little hiking trail for your pet to explore.

About: I’m a 21 year old college graduate looking to fulfill her hopes of pet setting once again! Being a full time student meant busy weeks, leaving no time for pet care. Something I actively did before transferring to UCSC. But with this newfound, post-graduate freedom, I’m eager to get back into the gig. Besides caring for my own kitties, I’ve worked with 7 clients over the past four years. All of which have been dog sitting gigs, with one job including an additional 3 cats (if that makes sense haha). And in my time as a sitter I’ve had four consistent clients. Additionally, I’m more than willing to sit for most dogs/ cats regardless of age, size, energy level, etc. It is my job (and such a privilege) to ensure their needs are met! Worth a mention - I’ve not had any experience in pet training, but I’m committed to being the best companion to the little loves! I can’t wait to connect with you and your fur-babies! I’m hoping to fill my week days (which are fairly open as of late) with pet care! Connecting with animals is truly such a rewarding job. Knowing I can make your life easier, and also that your pets are happy fills my heart with oodles of joy. My housing agreement unfortunately states that I can’t allow pets on to the premises. However, I’m extremely comfortable staying in/ visiting other spaces. Being respectful of your space is one of my top priorities.

About: I've been taking care of animals for quite some time now! I have two senior dogs myself and snakes. I look forward to meeting you both! I usually have a routine with my senior puppies, therefore creating one that suits your dog's needs will be no problem at all! I'm flexible at the moment since it's summertime. I will follow the safety protocols! If there are any additional instructions or care needed that will be applied to the routine as well. Ensuring all doors and windows are locked while all food is put away.

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors’ and family members’ pets since I was little, and been a reliable and trustworthy caretaker. I have been caring for dogs for five years, including elderly, deaf, and blind dogs. I understand the nuance to earning trust of shy or elderly pets. I have always loved animals and I have repeat clients that find me reliable and loved by their pets. My schedule is very open right now, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets and give them the attention and love they deserve. I have pets of my own at my home where I live with my parents, so I will care for your pets in your home, either staying at the house or doing drop-ins. I am clean and respectful and I love spending time with animals, respecting and getting to know them on their terms.

About: I've had dogs my whole life, and I truly believe that they are a part of the family. I grew up hiking, training, and playing with my own dogs, as well as pet-sitting for my friends and family in high school. My two childhood dogs were both big and high-energy, so I have experience with dealing with intense personalities-from hyper puppies to senior dogs with health issues. I am also used to walking and taking care of two dogs at once, so if you have more than one pet, I am prepared. Most of all, I love seeing dogs happy, whether that be through taking them on walks or giving them love and attention. I am a UCSB student, but I am home for the summer (until I go back to school in mid-September), so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur-babies! I am available anytime of day, all days of the week. I am extremely responsible and detail-oriented, and I will do whatever I can to make sure your pets are safe and happy. I will send frequent updates and pictures as I understand the anxiousness that can come from being separated from your pet. I also have experience with taking care of dogs that need to take frequent medication or have other ailments, as my first dog (an Akita mix) was seizure prone and arthritic but, with much love and care, lived to be 16. She recently passed, so I am eager to love your dogs as if they were my own.

About: Hi, I’m Hannah! By day I’m a luxury travel advisor (yes, I plan other people’s dream vacations for a living), and by night and weekends I’m hoping to spoil your dog instead. Think of it as their own little vacation, minus the suitcase, plus way more belly rubs. I grew up with dogs of every size, from a chihuahua who thought she ran the house to a bullmastiff who took up half the couch, so I’m comfortable with pups big, small, and everywhere in between. I don’t have pets of my own right now, which just means when I’m with yours, they get 100% of my attention! New to Rover, not new to dog sitting. I’ve built lasting relationships with pup families through another app and I’m happy to share references. I can’t wait to meet your pup! Pet care has become my full time job and fits into my weekly schedule perfectly! I love doing this as my job and love meeting all the different pets! I’m very respectful and don’t do anything unless instructed! I keep my home pet proof when they are at mine and treat them apart of my own family and do or don’t do anything you request!

Nora is a GIFT! About a year ago my now 14 year-old cat Riley abruptly lost a significant amount of weight and bloodwork showed some kind of significant liver event though nothing was evident in an XRAY or ultrasound. He was prescribed two ongoing medications to support his liver & reduce inflammation; a small pill that needs to absorb during a fast (no food for 2 hours before and 1 hour after) and a liquid medication that needs to be given with food. In addition to the with/without food medications complexity, successfully pilling a cat every day requires a deft hand—pretty straightforward for someone who’s good at it, increasingly difficult each day for anyone who isn’t. Add to the equation both Riley and his brother Ash are initially shy with strangers. All things considered to me the situation seemed like a complicated ask for a pet sitter, so over the past year I hadn’t gone away on any trips longer than 2-3 days. In the face of a terminal illness diagnosis in my direct family I came to terms with having to hope for the best using a pet sitter for an 8 day family vacation though I was very concerned about how Riley would be affected by the extended change in routine. Enter Nora; highly intelligent, highly *attuned* (to the pets & the people), instantly trustworthy, and very gracious, a rare combination of total professionalism & grounded compassion. Though Nora was only here for about an hour each day her presence *visibly improved* Riley’s health. I didn’t know it was possible to come home from being away for 8 days to find Riley noticeably fluffier and more energetic than when I left, but that’s the magic that unfolded under Nora’s care. She also sent me pictures of Riley and Ash every day and let me know how they were each doing, sharing her sophisticated curiosity & creativity getting Riley to eat more and Ash to gradually come out of his shyness with clear warmth towards both of them. It’s extremely clear Nora *truly cares* and is keenly observant and exceptionally competent, a combination that made it possible for me to relax so much more on my trip. I’m very grateful to have found her. Thank YOU so much Nora. TBC 💗🐈🐈‍⬛🧘‍♀️

Kayla was so knowledgeable and helpful! She really put my anxious mind at ease while travelling away from my cat, Bella. She provided me with tips for caring for my pet, communicated exceptionally throughout the entire process, and went above and beyond by trimming Bella's nails and playing with her. She also has a great attitude! I would highly recommend her if you are a first time user on Rover or for any of your animal's needs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camp Evers. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
