“Jenna and her family took great care of Dudley for his first day with her. He really liked their dog and seemed to warm up to everyone quickly. He was nice and tired from lots of play and he even got a nice brush and fluff! I appreciated them taking him very last minute - we will definitely rebook! Thank you again!”

“Sandy really loved her time with Denise and Quarky. She tried to run back into Denise's house as we were putting her in the car, so we'll definitely have to book again, the next time we're in Santa Cruz. Denise was easy to communicate with and drop-off/pick-up was a breeze.”

“Yajaira is amazing, communicative and wonderful. She would give us updates with messages and pictures. She made it feel very safe to have our dog in her care. Would highly recommend.”

“We are so thankful to have found Marina to take both of our doggies for the day on our recent trip to Santa Cruz. She was responsive and communicative before and during their stay. Our dogs got a lot of activity, love, and attention. We got pictures and updates that made us feel comfortable about their care. Thank you so much Marina!”

About: Hello! We have over 30 years of experience taking care of animals! Growing up we've had Labradors, Siberian Huskies and German Shepards. Currently we have a 2-year-old (spayed) female labrador retriever and a 12-year-old (neutered) male labrador retriever. Both are very friendly. We live in the Santa Cruz mountains on 2 acres in the redwoods. There is a smaller section off of the back sliding door that is fenced in. Dogs will have free roam of the house, and you are welcome to bring their crate or dog bed if you would like. We have an overflowing basket of dog toys, balls and plenty of treats. If your furry friend needs medications, we have experience with that, and it would be no problem. Outside we have a nice patio with an umbrella for shade with an outdoor dog couch as well. Please reach out at any time for any questions! I work from home and will be home most of the day, unless I am bringing my son to or from school or dropping by the grocery store. My fiancé is an ICU nurse and will also be here with me 4 out of 7 days per week, so your furry friend will get lots of love and attention in our home! Our pets are part of the family, and we will welcome your pet into our home as if they are one of our own! We currently have 2 labrador retrievers. Our 2-year-old is very energetic and likes lots of attention and play time. We feed our dogs once in the morning and once at night. We use dog beds at night in our home, but you are welcome to bring a crate if that is what you prefer. We have a fenced in section of the yard right off of our back sliding door and therefore your pet will be able to go in and out very frequently. Also, we are able to send pictures and updates throughout the day whenever you would like. Please call or text any time with any questions!

“Nela did great with Lisa! This was our first time leaving her with a stranger and she did great. We got lots of pictures and updates. Would definitely book with Lisa again!”

“Nancy and her family were simply amazing with Toby! She sent pictures regularly and I could see from Toby’s smile how much fun he was having. I felt very comfortable leaving Toby in her care and highly recommend her. Thank you so much Nancy.”

About: I treat every pet like they’re my own and do my best to become emotionally in tune with each pet I work with to ensure they feel at ease around me as I adapt to their unique quirks, routines, and needs. I am happy to bathe any dogs and take care of any messes that may be made. More than anything, I am very communication oriented and promise to provide prompt updates/photos/check-ins so you always know what we’re up to! I am currently living with my 14lb. dog so if you’re okay with puppy play dates that would be great! Otherwise, I will be out of town from July 1-10, but am happy to take care of any pets during any other time. In my home, I provide a safe and loving environment where pets can feel at home. I will stick to their normal routines whether that be long walks and playtime, or lots of rest and cuddles, or any combination of them! I never leave pets unattended for long and make sure they have water, comfy spots to rest, and all of my love and attention. In clients’ homes, similar to mine, I stick to the pet’s routines while also respecting your space. Whether it is daily visits, or short drop-ins, I want to make sure your pet feels safe in their routine and environment. I am very detail-oriented and will take instructions very literally and will follow them carefully. Most importantly, I will provide as many updates, photos, or messages as you want to keep you up to date with what we’re up to and ensure everything is up to your standards.

“Geoff was able to take our dog Skye last minute and was great! He sent photos and responded to any and all requests for updates. Skye is slow to warm up to strangers but relaxed with him and his two small pups after a short time. Thanks again Geoff!”

“Karen has kept my newly adopted shelter terrier dog numerous times and I can’t say enough for her care for him. He was reticent at first without me, but after the very first visit, anytime we drive near her street he starts jumping all over the car to get out to see her. She gives him lots of exercise and love, and herself is a very warm and likeable person. I recommend her highly.”

Scotts Valley dog parents share their Rover experiences
Shannon and her husband and kids took such amazing care of my (very large, somewhat rowdy) dog. I was in town on a business trip and needed a place for him to stay each day while I was at the office. Shannon opened her home, yard, and couch to my pup, and he came home each evening so happy! We will definitely ask Shannon to care for him again the next time we are in town.

Amber is amazing with our dog! We never have any worries when our dog is there and she always comes back happy and loved.
