“Patrick blew my expectations out of the water. He was absolutely fantastic. On time, courteous and friendly. I hope he is willing and available if we need cover in the future. Amazing!”

About: I have 2 dogs of my own that I love very much but I have not taken care of others pets. I would love to be able to get more experience with other dog breeds and gain a real connection with you and your pets! I think that I would be able to take care of your dog very well, we will go on long walks and have lots of playtime. Hope to be able to hangout with your pets! I currently work 6 days a week but I will be able to walk before and/or after work any day of the week. I don't do much besides go on walks and work so this will work perfectly in my routine throughout the week. My dogs stay in a fenced yard on my property so I just let them roam throughout the property but if there is no fenced area for them to roam I keep them on a leash connected to a harness. For walks, I like to keep my dogs close to me so they can 1) be safe by my side, and 2) learn not to pull on the leash. I love having the company of the dogs with me while I go for walks so I can't wait to be able to be with your dogs and give them some company too!

“I am beyond pleased with the exceptional care and attention that our male dog walker provided to my two schnauzers. In just two walks, it is evident that he genuinely cares for them. His sweet demeanor and dedication make him a standout choice. I will definitely be utilizing his services again”

I'm reliable, respectful of your home, and treat every pup like family. I am surrounded by nature trails and have a very friendly black lab at home to keep your fur baby company. I can also crate your pup if preferred. Whether you need check-ins, overnight care, or just someone to keep your dog happy and active while you're away, I'm here to help!

About: Hi there! I have felt a connection with animals for as long as I can remember and consider myself a lifelong animal-lover. I grew up with two shih tzus, Sushi and Roamy, and cared for them well into their senior years, including medication administration and many vet visits. I had 3 cats when I was very young, and was finally able to adopt my own a little over a year ago! She is a black cat named Momo and she is my everything. She loves to go on walks! I believe every animal has a unique and beautiful soul. I care about animal wellbeing first and foremost, which is why I’ve been a vegan of 8 years. I understand the significance our pets hold in our lives as part of our family and I always keep this in mind when caring for another’s pet. I look forward to meeting your baby! I recently graduated from UCSC and I have open availability. I’m able to work around your schedule to get your baby the care they need! As a lover of all animals your pet’s safety is always my #1 priority. Happy to keep your baby company, take them on walks, feed, administer medication, and anything else needed!

“We hired Amanda to walk or dogs once a day during a week we were away from home for long hours. She was on time, communicated very well, and took very good care of our dogs. She is trustworthy, and amazing with animals. Our dogs loved her! We highly recommend.”

About: I have pet sat for dogs of all kinds - big, small, young, and old! I have been a reliable pet sitter for many friends for the past 6 years and have done everything from dog walking to house sitting. I have ample experience with feeding, walking, bathing, grooming, and even administering medicine to dogs! I just graduated from college and am currently unemployed, so I have a very free schedule to take care of doggies! I currently babysit during the week as well, but have an overall very flexible schedule and am free to meet any needs your pet may have! I make sure to introduce myself to all new pets in the way that makes them feel most comfortable! I have met a variety of dogs and cats who have different needs during the first introduction and have never met a pet who didn’t love me!

About: I have lived with one or more pets my whole entire life! Growing up, my family had 3 dogs and 2 cats at once, and I always took part in walking, feeding, playing, training, spending time, and loving them. In the past few years, I have pet-sat friends and family's dogs and cats regularly, which has given me experience with pets all ages, from puppy to senior. I am so excited to meet and look after your pets! I'm currently a student on summer break, so my schedule is extremely open and flexible! I am free all day on most weekends and weekdays! Pets are special and mean the world to most owners, so I therefore take the safety of them very seriously. I am comfortable with taking pets on leashed walks, putting them in crates only upon request, feeding them with instructions, along with simply spending time and playing with them in safe, regulated places.

About: I have experience with pet sitting for friends and neighbors over the past year along with having had all different breeds of dogs growing up and enjoy their company. I love to go for walks, hikes, the beach and would love to take your dog with me. I've had to give senior dogs medication and look after them. I know how hard it is to trust someone to watch your fur baby when your away and I'm that person and I will treat them like royalty. I am home everyday at 1:00. I am ready to take your dog with me on a walk or hike. If they staying with me or I pick them up for a walk or hike. Your dog will have access to a dog run area all day long. I have a house with a large fenced in yard and your dog will have complete access to outside at all times. At this time I don't have a dog of my own, so there will be no conflict between dogs. I want your dog to feel at home as much possible.

“Kathleen is fantastic. A true dog lover who goes above and beyond. Alfi had a marvelous time with her!”

“Plair instantly bonded with Jake. He has a gift with animals and was on time and professional. Definitely will request his services again. Thanks, Jake.”

About: I'm currently majoring in Wildlife Conservation, and love animals and hope to work with them forever. I've grown up having pets my entire life, and am good with animals and respecting them as living beings and understanding their boundaries. I'm working on and off at a summer camp, so am looking to pick up pet-sitting and dog walking in between weeks of work. I love working with dogs and am looking forward to having something to do during my weeks off! It's really important to me to respect client's homes and spaces while caring for their animals, and to make sure the animals have everything they need available and there are no hazards.

I live in Santa Cruz County. I enjoy taking walks in nature and would share that joy with yours dogs for an afternoon/ evening stroll. I understand that pets are part of a family and their daily needs should be met as part of anyone else's day. I will take care of your pets as the owner would want. “Mel was great to work with, super flexible to meet my and Thor’s needs and incredibly reliable and communicative! Seems like her and Thor had a great time ☺️”

“Kelly is so communicative and professional. Our boys already love her!”

About: I grew up with dogs, starting at the age of seven! I have learned so much in those years about how to responsibly care for dogs, while making them feel comfortable and loved. One of our family dogs was diagnosed with diabetes, so I am very comfortable giving insulin if that is something you need. After almost 18 years of living with dogs, I've also become comfortable giving eye drops, pills, etc. Aside from dogs, I have had hamsters and guinea pigs and was responsible for the entirety of their care. I also worked for an exotic veterinarian for 1 year. While I did not work with dogs but this position, it increased my confidence when it comes to working with animals in general. I now have my own dog, Remi. He has been a challenge but so wonderful. I feel confident working with very high energy dogs as I now have so much experience with one! He has inspired me to learn as much as I can about dog behavior and body language. I feel confident in support dogs and offering affection, as well as respecting their boundaries. If your dog is friendly and I am taking them for a walk, I’d love to bring my guy along but it’s not necessary! I am currently available every day of the week except Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you have need on those days, I may be able to work in the later afternoon/ early evening! I will give lots of attention! I understand that people use rover when they have to be gone for an extended period of time. So I feel it is important to make sure that I am giving your dog as much attention and love as possible. I aim to treat them as you would: focusing on their well-being and safety while also providing a fun and enriching time together.

About: Hi, I've been caring for animals for about 15 years now (including sea lions and sea otters!) in multiple settings (volunteer at animal shelters, Monterey Bay Aquarium and a sea lion facility). I worked at a veterinary hospital after college (go banana slugs!) and also used to be a professional pet-sitter for 3 years under Amore Pet Sitting Services. I now have a flexible job and would love to be able to pet-sit again. At this time, I can only provide pet sitting in the client's home but I do believe it provides some pets more comfort being in a familiar space. I'm very responsible, dependable and professional. I'm also willing to work with a variety of different animals with different needs. Contact me if you'd like to talk more! I work full-time but am available after work to provide pet care in the client's home. A typical overnight visit includes a dog walk, dinner, bedtime, breakfast in the morning as well as a quick morning walk before I leave. I treat each animal as if it's my own. Of course that includes lot of care, love, and snuggles (as long as that's what the pet wants!). I cater to the needs of each individual client and their pet(s).

“She took great care of care of my dog while I was away. Highly recommend!”

Melissa L.
“As Melissa's older brother, who lived with her for about 16 years, I can't say I'm unbiased. But I can also confirm that she loves our two dogs as much as any human member of our family. She's attentive to their needs for food, walks, and attention, and dutifully helps our diabetic dog Chance get his insulin (and treat!) on schedule. I would bet my life savings on her carrying that love into work with Rover, and believe she'll be an excellent, responsible caregiver.”

Jori B.
“To whom it may concern at Rover, Jori, is a responsible and loving individual, with a heart of gold. She is pationate in all that she does and when it comes to pets it's no exception. She has cared for my dog, Ruger when he was just a little puppy. He loved seeing her, you could just see his face light up when she would come around. That was 12 years ago and to this day, when Jori shows up, you can bet that Ruger is back to being that excited puppy once again. Not only does she have a way with him, she has a way with my deaf dog Ella and my two cat's (Bourbon & Whiskey). She is kind, patient, and has an easy going nature about her, that I think animals are able to connect to. Even my temperamental cat, Whiskey is fascinated with her. She takes the time to provide love, cuddles, and provide companionship when when I leave on work trips. I would not hesitate to hire, Jori as she would be an excellent addition to the Rover team. She has all four of my animals approvals and trust me they are great judges of character.”
