About: I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, and other animals all my life! I rescue animals when I can, have fostered, bottle fed, treated injuries, given injections and medications to many animals. Animals are my comfort zone- just being around them is my joy! I can do short walks, herding dog games, feed, or provide overnight care. I especially love herding and other working breed dogs, and typically get along with even difficult animals (feral cats for example!) I would love to meet you and your pets! About: My husband and I love dogs.... when our beloved Yorkie died a few years ago and we retired early from city government, we decided to focus our love on caring for other people's dogs in their homes. We now have several on-going sit relationships in central California and are happy to have so many dogs in our lives that feel like grand babies to us! If you're interested in establishing an on-going relationship with us, to make your dog(s) feel as comfortable as possible when you have to leave town, hit us up! Our preference is to work with 1 or 2 older/more relaxed dogs, that can be left alone for at least 4 hours at a time. We lean towards being home bodies, but we enjoy going on walks/outtings, having play time and lots of snuggles. I am a full time mom to my 16 years old daughter and 3 years old English Springer spaniel, Chester. We have enough love and time to give to our prospective "new friends". Our sweet Springer spaniel Chester loves having a buddy to play with. My daughter is a huge animal lover and has a great experience walking multiple dogs. I have been dog owner (from small breeds to large) for several years and absolutely adored every moment with them. We treat dogs as a family members, they are allowed on the furniture and can lounge and sleep wherever they feel comfortable. walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
