About: I’m a UC Santa Cruz Legal Studies graduate and former student athlete, originally from San Diego, who recently moved to LA. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your dog attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. I’ve cared for dogs throughout college and have experience with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, including through Unleashed by Petco, friends, family, and my own dog. I have a safe, comfortable home with a great patio, and would love to meet your dog and give them lots of love! My schedule is flexible and opened throughout the week here in Santa Cruz and I’m able to consistently fit in pet care. I have open availability on weekdays, weekends, and for overnights. I have enough flexibility to provide walks, drop-ins, and overnight care assuring all dogs I take care of get all the care they require and more. I have a safe, pet-friendly home with a large front yard and grassy patio that is fully fenced in. All dogs have plenty of safe space to relax and play. My home is a non-smoking environment, and I keep it clean and safe for all pets. I also have a dog of my own, so I’m used to daily care, structure, and making sure pets are comfortable and supervised at all times. I do pet care partly because I miss my own dog when I’m away, and I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and giving them attention. It feels natural to me, and I treat every dog I watch with the same care and attention I would want for my own.

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There's always been a cat curled up somewhere or a dog waiting by the door, and taking care of them has never felt like a chore to me. It's just what I do. I work from home, so I'm around a lot during the day and can usually work around your schedule, even for midday visits or last-minute plans. If I'm looking after your pet, you'll hear from me. I like sending updates and photos so you actually get to see how your dog or cat is doing, not just a generic "all good" message. I'm new to Rover, but pets have never been new to me. I'll take care of yours the way I'd want someone to take care of my own. I work remotely, which means I'm home most days and have some flexibility built into my schedule. I can usually fit in midday drop-ins, walks between meetings, or last-minute visits that a lot of sitters with traditional 9-to-5 jobs can't accommodate. Afternoons and evenings tend to be my most open windows, but I'm generally easy to reach and can adjust as needed. I treat your space and your pet's routine with respect. I follow the feeding, medication, and care instructions you provide exactly as given, and I keep your home secure the whole time I'm there. I pay close attention to your pet's body language and comfort level, especially with cats or nervous dogs who need a little more patience before they warm up to someone new. If anything seems off with your pet or your home while I'm there, I'll let you know right away.

About: I take my dogs for runs, and I travel with her some times! I love watching after dogs and being physical! Exercise is very important! Currently I live with family and they help take care of our animals as well and take my dog and cat for walks, we live in nature so they sun bathe and frolic . I can offer going to peoples houses and that means making sure they're well fed and entertained and just really taking care of them anyway they need. I've also had an animal that had surgery so I'm familiar with giving shots and pills as well!

About: I've had dogs my whole life, and I truly believe that they are a part of the family. I grew up hiking, training, and playing with my own dogs, as well as pet-sitting for my friends and family in high school. My two childhood dogs were both big and high-energy, so I have experience with dealing with intense personalities-from hyper puppies to senior dogs with health issues. I am also used to walking and taking care of two dogs at once, so if you have more than one pet, I am prepared. Most of all, I love seeing dogs happy, whether that be through taking them on walks or giving them love and attention. I am a UCSB student, but I am home for the summer (until I go back to school in mid-September), so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur-babies! “Sumaira is always on time and I know I can count on her to take good care of my fur babies. While walking my Siberian Husky another dog that was unleased attacked my dog. Sumaira safely got my girl home and check her out from head to toe. She promptly notified me that the husky was attacked, however alright. Sumaira let me know there was a little blood on her ear, however she did not appear to be injured. I myself have had another dog attack us when we were walking. Sumaira did the responsible thing and notified me and ensured my girl was alright. In this type of situation that is best can be accomplished and despite this incident I will ask Sumaira to walk her again.”

About: I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, and other animals all my life! I rescue animals when I can, have fostered, bottle fed, treated injuries, given injections and medications to many animals. Animals are my comfort zone- just being around them is my joy! I can do short walks, herding dog games, feed, or provide overnight care. I especially love herding and other working breed dogs, and typically get along with even difficult animals (feral cats for example!) I would love to meet you and your pets! I am a recently retired high school teacher sill working part time at UCSC, so am available most days to care for your pets.
