“Kendra, our sitter, was maximally sweet! The setting was a bit rough. Our kitty lived upstairs in a private room without furniture but well heated. So make sure you bring bedding your kitty will be comfortable with. Also, the household has a large friendly dog that likes to bark at strangers. Our kitty wouldn't be comfortable hanging around with him. But if your cat likes dawgs, this is the place for them! Doggie lives downstairs; kitty was upstairs. Never the twain would meet! Overall, definitely recommended. The pricing is affordable, the setting comfortable, and we know the sitter gave our kitty all the attention she wanted.”
About: For the last 6 years I have had different friends and family rely on me for dog, cat, and rabbit care. I have been responsible for scheduled feedings, bathing, walks, and of course playing and quality time. My goal is always to be communicative, reliable, and adaptable to any and all of your pets individual needs. I currently work full-time in retail with a schedule that varies per week, but would love to use any of my free time and days off to spend with pets. All shifts are 8 hours or less and I am more than willing to make time before or after (or both) any of my shifts. Mamoo is sensitive and perceptive regarding cats' preferences and communications and adjusts his care to meet your pets' needs. For instance if your pet is too nervous to come out to regular feeding area, he will bring food to the cat and approach slowly and respectfully. My cats warmed up to Mamoo and he gave them lots of love and attention. My cats were not showing any signs of stress after my return which is unusual for one of my cats! “Nora is a GIFT! About a year ago my now 14 year-old cat Riley abruptly lost a significant amount of weight and bloodwork showed some kind of significant liver event though nothing was evident in an XRAY or ultrasound. He was prescribed two ongoing medications to support his liver & reduce inflammation; a small pill that needs to absorb during a fast (no food for 2 hours before and 1 hour after) and a liquid medication that needs to be given with food. In addition to the with/without food medications complexity, successfully pilling a cat every day requires a deft hand—pretty straightforward for someone who’s good at it, increasingly difficult each day for anyone who isn’t. Add to the equation both Riley and his brother Ash are initially shy with strangers. All things considered to me the situation seemed like a complicated ask for a pet sitter, so over the past year I hadn’t gone away on any trips longer than 2-3 days. In the face of a terminal illness diagnosis in my direct family I came to terms with having to hope for the best using a pet sitter for an 8 day family vacation though I was very concerned about how Riley would be affected by the extended change in routine. Enter Nora; highly intelligent, highly *attuned* (to the pets & the people), instantly trustworthy, and very gracious, a rare combination of total professionalism & grounded compassion. Though Nora was only here for about an hour each day her presence *visibly improved* Riley’s health. I didn’t know it was possible to come home from being away for 8 days to find Riley noticeably fluffier and more energetic than when I left, but that’s the magic that unfolded under Nora’s care. She also sent me pictures of Riley and Ash every day and let me know how they were each doing, sharing her sophisticated curiosity & creativity getting Riley to eat more and Ash to gradually come out of his shyness with clear warmth towards both of them. It’s extremely clear Nora *truly cares* and is keenly observant and exceptionally competent, a combination that made it possible for me to relax so much more on my trip. About: I’ve got experience dog-sitting, and dog-walking, as well as living with dogs and love when I get the chance to take care of them. I’ve had a dog my entire life until her recent passing and have loved and cared for all animals even before I got one. I’m incredibly comfortable with dogs of all sizes, types, and temperaments. This includes sick dogs with medication, senior pups, and various exercise needs. I have saved my dog from a life-threatening attack and provided intensive care, so I work well in a potentially contentious environment. I’m a full time student but my schedule is incredibly loose. About: Growing up, I had a golden retriever named Daisy. Daisy is was from an organization I worked with called NorCal Golden Rescue. We fostered her for a couple of weeks but fell in love with her undeniable love and decided to adopt her. NorCal Golden Rescue mainly rescues golden retrievers who have been neglected and abandoned from the streets of Taiwan and bring them to the San Francisco Bay Area where they are paired with a fur-ever home. I have with dogs of all ages and temperaments from young lively puppies to old mellow senior citizen doggos. If need be I have experience with delivering oral and topical medication to dogs; as well as putting on the cone of shame :(. I love taking dogs out for adventures so if you don’t want your dog to be board, I’m your guy!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for about 8 years, whether it be neighbors, friends, or clients. I’ve done week long petsitting and simple day long care as well. I currently have 20 hours of dog walking logged at Santa Cruz animal shelter, working with dogs of all kinds. I am a full time student at UC Santa Cruz, but have a pretty flexible schedule! I mostly attend university in the morning and early afternoon on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I’m located in a safe neighborhood great for walks. My yard is unfenced, so I would supervise any pets that were to go outside, all depending on the owners comfort with this condition. My home is large, so there’s plenty of room to roam around.

Doggy Daycare: Looking for 1-2 dogs to host at my house on Tuesdays and Thursday. I already host a sweet 4.5yr Female Golden Retriever named Penny and she is looking to have a dog to play with. Your dog must be friendly and fully vaccinated. Ideally will be nice to meet at the Siltanen Community Park and see if they’re compatible. If this fits you, send me a message and we can arrange a meet up. If you’d like, I can also have you meet the owner of the golden Retriever. Penny is pretty popular here at the park, and she LOVES EVERYBODY! I’m currently available for drop-in visits on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I can accommodate morning, midday, and evening visits on those days depending on your pet’s needs. “My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. “It’s been a while since we’ve wanted to travel and had to think about boarding our dogs. We recently found Steve and did a meet and greet and it was very obvious that our pups were comfortable with him and he was comfortable with them. We booked a one day stay as a trial and our dogs clearly had a blast. Our dogs were so much happier having spent a day with Steve than being stuck alone at home. Highly recommended!”
“We booked with Jade because our regular sitter was out of town, but she (and her husband) may become our go to! She did a thorough meet and greet the day after we contacted her, and asked tons of great questions. She walked us through her home and yard so we saw where the pups would be (very uncommon in my experience, so I appreciated it). Their home was neat, nothing extra that the pups would get into potentially. I loved that they (and their beds) came home clean, there was only 1 additional dog (other than their 2 small ones) in their care, and they kept to our pups regular schedule. Jade and her husband take a very professional approach to their care, even though they both work and Rover is not their main gig.
