“My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”

So make sure you bring bedding your kitty will be comfortable with. Also, the household has a large friendly dog that likes to bark at strangers. Our kitty wouldn't be comfortable hanging around with him. But if your cat likes dawgs, this is the place for them! Doggie lives downstairs; kitty was upstairs. Never the twain would meet! Overall, definitely recommended. The pricing is affordable, the setting comfortable, and we know the sitter gave our kitty all the attention she wanted.”

Whether your fuzziest family members prefer long walks on the beach or romps in the mountains, I love taking the furry friends out & about. Daycare, boarding, walking, medication management & special needs are all part of the arc of care, and am confident in showing your dear dogs the same care that my dogs get! I’m currently working part-time, and have a flexible enough schedule to accommodate weekday and weekend care as needed. I’m an early riser & love starting my day outdoors with a nice long walk. I have a fenced in yard & two friendly dogs to keep your pup company, and can accommodate crates for training if you prefer. We’re less than a miles from the beach and go for walks every couple hours, with plenty of play time & meals, as needed.
About: I have loved animals my entire life. Throughout college and high school, I worked as a dog walker for Wag and a kennel attendant at the local vet. I currently work on boats and do this in the off-season or when things are slow. I love spending time with animals and will treat your baby like one of my own, with lots of walks, cuddles, and attention. About: I have been a dog lover since I got my first dog, Kiwi the puggle, about 20 years ago. While I can't have a dog at my current place, I love to hang out with my friends dogs and dog walk/sit when I can. I have experience dog sitting a variety of dogs - from a senior german shepherd/mastiff mix to a bernadoodle puppy, to high energy australian shepherds and golden retrievers. I would be more than happy to take your dog for a long walk or hike (if that's what they'd like), and am fine with just hanging on the couch and giving pets. I also have experience cat sitting! I had a rambunctious tuxedo cat in college named Chia who I loved dearly. I was the regular sitter for my friends cat who required oral medication. I've cat sat for a number of other cats, from a range of playful to timid to independent. Happy to tell you more about myself and my experience, and I hope to have the chance to look after your adorable fur baby! I work from home Monday and Friday, so on those days I have flexibility to provide the care your pet specifically needs. While I am caring for a pet, I want to make them as comfortable as possible and prioritize attending to their needs. I try to respect your pets needs and boundaries as well as respecting the home that I am sitting in. If a dog seems high to medium energy, I try to provide stimulation through walks and play. I also make it a priority to respect the boundaries of your pet. I will give them space and let them come to me if they are shy, will be gentle and patient if I sense anxiety, all the while trying to let them know that they are safe & that I am a friend.

About: I grew up in a house with three dogs and four cats, so taking care of animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have been dog and cat sitting for others for over 8 years. I have a dog of my own, Layla, who is genuinely the light of my life, so I completely understand how important it is to know your pet is with someone who will love and care for them while you’re away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time for walks, check-ins, playtime, and keeping your pet company throughout the day. I’m also happy to work around your pet’s normal routine as much as possible! “My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. After recently losing my beloved dog, I’m looking to fill the void in my heart by sharing my love with your pets. My dog was with us for 15 years and was loved and well cared for. I will make sure that you pet gets the exercise they need, both mentally and physically, Aside from the daily walks, I also like to take them to the park to play if possible.I will treat them as my own I have taken training classes to learn how to train dogs and understand dog behavior. I’m free on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but I’m at the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. I’ll take your dog for four walks each day, and I’ll do my best to match your walk times. I’d also enjoy taking them for a long walk in the evening or to the park—I believe a dog who gets plenty of walks and their energy out is a happy dog. I’ll make sure to meet your dog’s needs. If your dog prefers to stay home due to age, size, or other reasons, I’ll adjust the walking distance and schedule to keep them engaged, even when they’re at home. I don’t currently have any pets, so visiting dogs will receive my full attention. I’ll be home most of the time from Friday through Monday, allowing me to provide frequent supervision, potty breaks, walks, and companionship. I also have a crate available if your dog is crate-trained or if you would like them crated for sleeping or when appropriate. I’ll follow your pet’s regular routine and any specific care instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home during their stay.
