“My dog Harvey loves Vicky! she’s dependable, always on time and does everything we ask of her when she comes in for drop in visits. We have already rebooked her. She’s great!”

About: I’m always looking to help someone in need. Whether you have a dog, cat, parakeet or hamster, I can show up to the scene and make sure your furry, feathered, or scaled friend is well taken care of. I can take a wide variety of pets and I do not mind live feeder animals or messy situations. My 12-year old daughter is an animal enthusiast and will tag along! Please only book with me if you are okay with that. I work from home with a flexible schedule. Can work with you to find a time that works for both of us. Message me please! My cats are allowed to run all over the house as long as they don’t conduct major property damage. I will walk your dogs according to your preferences and treat your smaller friends with care.
“Stephanie is such an awesome dog sitter! We were nervous about leaving our two pups while traveling internationally for two weeks. But from the moment we met her, we could tell she was warm, responsible, and a truly kind person that we could trust. She took great care of both our pups and was always on-time. We loved her daily photo updates showing the dogs having a blast playing and walking with her. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our boys were in her capable hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter! Thanks Stephanie!”

“Tiana did a great job with our cats! We booked every other day of a 2 week trip and she was always on time and sent lots of pictures. She also vacuumed! I would definitely recommend her and will be booking her again soon!”

“Michelle has done a fantastic and meticulous job on taking care of my Shiba Inu who is not easy with lots of caveats. We feel fortunate to have found Michelle and felt at ease to have her drop in visit, with everything take care of per instruction. Her experience and great communication is another bright spot. Strongly recommend!”

About: I'm a solo dad to three big dogs, two German Shepherds and a Pitbull/Shepherd mix, and dogs have been part of my life since I was 12 years old. All three are rescues and I raised each of them from puppyhood. Last year I said goodbye to my husky after 13 years together, and that kind of love doesn't go away. It just makes you want to give it to more dogs. I'm a Bay Area native who spent five years in Texas before moving back last summer. During that time I volunteered with Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue and served as a foster parent for GSDs waiting to find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs that came from neglect, shelters, and difficult situations and helped them feel safe and loved while they waited for the right family. That experience changed the way I see dogs and deepened everything I already knew about the breed. I prefer to come to your home rather than bring your dog to mine. Your dog stays in their own space, with their own smells, their own bed, their own routine. For a lot of dogs that makes all the difference, and for a lot of owners it's one less thing to worry about. I have a truck so getting around is never an issue. Parks, trails, wherever your dog loves to go, we'll get there. I've got a lot of experience with big breeds specifically. The energy, the space they need, crate training, the whole thing. I know how to handle a strong dog and I know how to make one feel safe. Whatever your dog needs, patient and slow or active and social, they're going to get real attention and genuine care. My schedule is pretty open right now, which means your dog gets real time and attention, not a quick check-in between other commitments. I’m available most days for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays at your home. The main exception is two weekends a month when I travel for work, but outside of that I’m flexible and responsive. Morning and evening walks are my default routine. I know fenced in spots around the area where dogs can actually run and roam without running into other dogs, which is great for high energy breeds that need to really burn it off. After every outdoor outing I wash paws before heading back inside. My preference is always to come to you. Your dog stays in their own environment, sleeps in their own bed, and keeps their normal routine intact. For most dogs that alone makes a noticeable difference in how comfortable and settled they feel while you're away. Once we've had a chance to meet and your dog is comfortable with me, boarding at my place is also an option. I have three dogs of my own so I'm thoughtful about who comes into that space, but for the right dog it can work really well. I'm comfortable with medication administration, crate training, grooming, and bathing. I have a truck for vet runs or anywhere else your dog needs to go, and I'm physically capable of handling and lifting large dogs up to 120 lbs, which matters more than people think when you have a big breed.
“Elaine took care of my new pup during her first week at my home; she definitely went above and beyond. Pekoe was happily tired out when I got home which is more than I could ask for. Thanks Elaine!”

“Jennifer was amazing. She came on time for every appointment and sent us pictures. Clearly, Mika (our dog) loved her and after a couple of days even Saskia, our ornery cat, was affectionate with her. We will be reaching out to her for our next trip.”

About: Hi! I'm Destiny, A Reliable, Loving Companion for Your Pets. Animals have always been a part of my heart and home. I’ve volunteered at a pet shelter, raised two litters of kittens, and cared for pets with all kinds of personalities—from energetic Siberian Huskies to tiny but sassy Chihuahuas. Whether it’s daily walks, overnight sitting, or just giving your pet the love and attention they need while you're away, I’ve got it covered. I’m dependable, patient, and passionate about making every pet feel safe and cared for. I’ve walked high energy breeds like Huskies daily, pet sat for both dogs and cats, and know how to handle different temperaments and routines with ease.Let’s set up a meet and greet I’d love to get to know you and your furry family member! I'm currently a full time worker at a tech company. I'm mostly available after 5pm and all day weekends. Though I can be available as early as 4pm. I'm also mostly available during holidays. My care will be based on clients preferences. If there is anything special or specific instructions like medicine, behavior, or food they will be followed to the best of my ability. The more information i get about the pet from the client the better. I love our fury friends a lot so there safety and comfort is a top priority of mine which is why I would like to know anything about the pet that can make the time away from their beloved family members just a little better.
“We had a great experience with Hsuan-Chu. She took such good care of our cats and really spent time playing with them, which they loved. Clove is usually pretty shy and nervous around new people, but she actually felt comfortable with Hsuan-Chu and even warmed up to her, which meant a lot to us. Cumin also enjoyed spending time with her and clearly had a great time playing. Communication was easy, we always got thoughtful updates, and we could tell they were both happy and well cared for. We’d definitely book with her again.”

“I cannot recommend Hejie ‘Kristen’ highly enough! She has visited my Husky, Kato, twice now, and Kato has clearly chosen her as her favorite new playmate. During her 30-minute visits, Kristen does an amazing job not just exercising Kato physically, but truly working her mind. Kato absolutely loves to learn, and Kristen takes the time to practice and strengthen her existing commands while keeping it fun. It is wonderful to have someone who understands exactly what a smart working dog needs. 5 stars!”

“We highly recommend Ching-Yuan as a sitter, he went above and beyond for our two cats while we were overseas and provided us reassurance that they were well taken care of and loved. Ching-Yuan was diligent and followed the instructions provided without fail.”

About: My family has owned German Shepherds since I was born, so I’ve been walking and training them since I was around 3. Additionally, I’ve fostered and potty trained 3 puppies and 1 adult dog. I’m free Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6 AM to 10:30 AM for 30 to 60 minute walks. I’m also free Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings from 6 AM to 8 AM. I am experienced in incorporating training into dog walks! I train dogs to heel, stop and sit during a walk, stay, and more. I’ve worked to train shelter dogs who struggle with socialization to interact with other dogs.
“Conner was awesome- we needed someone to watch our elderly cat and bunny rabbit and Conner was an awesome choice! He was a clear communicator and we felt that our animals were very well taken care of! Thanks Conner!!’”

“Athena was wonderfully responsive, and when our automatic feeder stopped working Athena was able to arrange an extra visit to troubleshoot the feeder make sure our cat, Augustine, was well fed and taken care of.”

“This is the second time I’ve had Vanessa take care of my cat. Both times she has been excellent with communication, timeliness and giving my cat plenty of attention while I’m away. Would absolutely recommend and use again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and breeds for over 10 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide companionship for their pets. I am patient, attentive, and experienced with both energetic puppies and senior pets that require extra care. My priority is always to make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I work part-time, I have lots of extra time to spend with furry friends. Whether it’s weekday evenings or weekends, I’m happy to give your pets all the playtime, snuggles, and walks they need. I’ll make sure they never feel lonely while you’re away. I live in a bright and cozy 2B2B condo filled with sunshine — the perfect spot for kitties who love to nap in warm, sunny corners. Since I don’t have pets of my own, your cat will get all of my love and attention. I enjoy playing with curious, active cats as much as I enjoy giving gentle care to shy or quiet ones. From feeding to litter box cleaning, cuddles, and playtime, I’ll make sure your kitty feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

This was my second time booking with Hejie, and she was amazing as always! She’s patient, caring, and very detail-oriented. She took wonderful care of my cat, Boba, and kept me updated throughout each visit. It’s such a relief knowing Boba is in such good hands. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely book with her again!

Michelle took great care of my two cats during my travel. She made sure they had access to enough food and water, and cleaned their litter box as needed. She also played with them so they were having fun during her visits. I'd definitely use Michelle again when similar needs arise again in the future!

Zipeng was fantastic with Amba! I received highly detailed updates and tons of photos during every drop-in visit. Zipeng went above and beyond—cleaning up food messes, keeping a close eye on her eating habits, and taking the time to learn her unique personality quirks (like loving belly rubs but skipping the neck pets). Amba clearly loved the attention and brushing sessions. I'll definitely be rebooking!

This was my first experience using Rover, and I am so happy that I found Sydney. From the moment I contacted her, she was punctual, kind, and professional. She immediately connected with my cat, which gave me great peace of mind. The photos and updates she sent showed a happy and relaxed cat, and it was clear that he was receiving excellent care. I am truly grateful for the attention, kindness, and dedication Sydney showed throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend her and would gladly book with her again.

Jenny is a great communicator and provided updates with many photos, which I really appreciated. She followed all feeding instructions carefully and gave consistent updates on how my 1-year-old cat was doing after each visit. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in good hands. She is punctual, attentive, and clearly understands and cares for cats. Highly recommend her!

Been trusting Lauren for years now and our pups prob love her more than us at this point. All the basics are covered but it’s the finer details like cleaning eye boogies that put her in another league. That and the best photos and storytelling I’ve ever seen. TY Lauren!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
