“This was my second booking, and once again it was a wonderful experience! Alfie had such a great time, and she even taught him a new trick—handshake! I always feel completely comfortable knowing he's in a safe, clean, and loving environment. I really appreciate the texts, photos, and videos throughout the day—they give me so much peace of mind. You can truly tell she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again!”

She was easy to communicate with, asked questions on Miso’s habits and what she likes, and gave her plenty of attention and mental stimulation. Thanks again!”

“Ember had such a great time with Bryan and Reese. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I moved back to the bay in 2020. I work from home, and my I recently moved in with my sister who also helps take care of the pups (she is a former mini Aussie owner). I can generally take out the pups very 2-4 hours and treat them as my own. I was going to foster but life got in the way (I recently had surgery in my mouth, so you will see my speech has been slightly affected) Hello there - primarily open for house sitting in SF proper for minimum of 1 week for March and April. - if it’s 2+ weeks, we can negotiate on price depending on circumstance. Just FYI so you are not surprised, I recently had a surgery in my mouth so I have a slight speech impediment. ____________________________________________
“Everything went perfectly. Great communication, nice folk. My dog was happy to see me when I picked her up but not in a hurry to leave. We will look for Audrina next time we need someone to take care of her”

“So delighted to find Madhumita. Her quiet affectionate calm and patience letting my dog, who has a trauma history, come our of his shell was just what he needed to feel comfortable. Her elderly lab is also a friendly, calm, and reassuring presence. So happy to see my pup relax and make himself at home-- in her home!”

“Gina and Ethan took great care of Troy. My dog is very shy and anxious and they were very patient with him. By the end of the day he made good progress. Would definitely recommend them :)”

Maria was amazing! We’re so grateful she was able to accommodate our last-minute booking and was incredibly flexible with our pickup time when our doctor's appointment ran longer than expected. She took great care of our pups, and the entire experience was stress-free. We would absolutely book with her again the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

We were very fortunate to have found Jingjing while spending time in the Bay Area from Oregon. We had a family function and needed daycare for the event and the day prior. Jingjing and her family took great care of Curry including at least one walk a day and ball throwing. Curry wasn’t anxious or stressed when we picked him up or dropped him off on the second day. We won’t hesitate to book with Jingjing if we’re visiting the area and need day care!

Tej was absolutely fantastic! She not only saved us by accepting a last minute booking, she also sent us updates on how Quinoa was doing, walked her 5 times and sent her home with a little treat, a gift and a sweet note. I would give her 6 stars if I could!

Cheryl and Ed were great with Bailey. They respond quickly to messages and were great about keeping us updated. They sent several pics and videos which we greatly appreciated. They have good knowledge about the correct way to introduce dogs slowly. Bailey had fun during her stay and we won't hesitate to leave Bailey with Cheryl and Ed again.

Karen and her family were absolutely amazing! I think she must have the patience of a saint because my dog is a handful and he absolutely loved spending time with her and became fond of her very quickly, which is unlike him. Karen made me feel at ease with great communication and updates while Winston was in her care. I truly knew he was in great hands!

I booked daycare for my dog with Christina and it was an excellent experience. Prior to the actual daycare, she clearly explained to us how she would look after our dog and carefully listened to our dog's specific quirks and needs. On the day of daycare everything was very smooth and Christina sent us regular updates and pictures of our dog's day. I could not have asked for a better dog daycare experience.

Eunhee and Naveen were wonderfully flexible and understanding with our unique emergency situation. Their wonderful communication was so reassuring during a stressful time. Our male Chihuahua mix, who typically doesn't prefer men, warmed up to Naveen and apparently ended up cuddling with him and letting Naveen take him on a walk! Eunhee's communication during the visit and kind reassurance with the dogs at drop off was very welcome. We will definitely book again.

Laura was amazing with my two pups during their very first dog-sitting experience. This was the first time for me and my family to leave our dogs with someone we didn’t know, so I was definitely nervous—but Laura’s calm, kind, and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. Her home is clean, safe, and perfect for dogs. My pup Mochi can be quite anxious around new people, but Laura was incredibly patient and gentle with him, constantly reassuring him and helping him feel safe alongside his sister Coco. My husband picked them up, and while Mochi seemed a bit tired from all the emotions, both dogs came home happy—which meant everything to us. Laura also kept great communication throughout the day, which I truly appreciated. This was just a trial before their upcoming boarding, and now I feel completely confident trusting her with our pups. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Sammi. She was awesome w taking care of my girl.Very attentive & caring to Shiloh. She kept me updated on how everything was going /Shiloh was doing.Shiloh enjoyed and had the best time playing & spending time with her personal dogs. Both of them are so sweet and friendly.Sammi and her dogs made my little diva’s stay so pleasurable & stress free for both of us.Would have her provide services for us in a heartbeat! An individual can be polite/professional/etc but true caring comes from the heart & not always present….Its not just a job for Sammi.

We are so happy with Kelly. Our boy must feel comfortable with her because he usually won’t eat much for sitters. Not only did he finish his food, he played with toys that weren’t his and had a good time with her other client. I also appreciate her confidence with him, something very important when caring for unfamiliar dogs.

Neeli had a great time at Sujatha’s home.Sujatha is very friendly, easy to communicate and a wonderful host. She is very caring, sent regular updates, pictures. Kept Neeli busy with her favorite game. Sparky got along very well with Neeli. Neeli came back very happy. Neeli will be going to Sujata’s place again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cupertino commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
