“Even after more than a year apart, he remembered her and was comfortable with her right away, which gave us so much peace of mind. She is the best pet sitter and the best pet photographer! Thank you so much for taking care of him!”

“Chinhua was so sweet, thoughtful, and incredibly patient with my senior dog. She took great care of him, kept me updated, and made sure he was comfortable the entire time. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was with someone who genuinely cares. I truly appreciate all the love and attention she gave him, and I would definitely book with her again!”

“Ana was very caring to our little dog. She’s very thorough and amazing. So lucky to have her take care of Inday. She sends us pictures and videos to keep us updated. Very much recommended!”

“Eunice & Sean were both great! Lots of updates throughout the day and communication on what he was doing. I had zero worries and felt very comfortable. Pick up and drop off were smooth and easy. I will definitely book with them again in the future.”

“Karen and her family were absolutely amazing! I think she must have the patience of a saint because my dog is a handful and he absolutely loved spending time with her and became fond of her very quickly, which is unlike him. Karen made me feel at ease with great communication and updates while Winston was in her care. I truly knew he was in great hands!”

“Vinod took care of Bobby very well Let my dog play with his dog in backyard and trained Bobby on pulling rope with his dog Overall I am very happy about Bobby stay and the service”

“Haoyuan was incredibly caring and sweet to our dog, Daisy. She gave us lots of updates with photos and videos throughout the day. She even treated her to some fresh watermelon as a treat. Our dog also loved playing with Haoyuan’s dog, Mao-Mao.”

“Melody really cared for our two pups. She and her family pay attention to them and give them lots of love. Our pups always are happy to go to Melody's and they are happy when they come home.”

“Jocelyn was very easy to work with and did a great job watching Luffy for doggie daycare! The pickup and drop offs were seamless, and it was very easy to coordinate with her. Luffy had a great time, coming back happy and loved playing with her. We got many photos throughout the day of his time, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend Jocelyn as a dogsitter!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I moved back to the bay in 2020. I work from home, and my I recently moved in with my sister who also helps take care of the pups (she is a former mini Aussie owner). I can generally take out the pups very 2-4 hours and treat them as my own. I was going to foster but life got in the way (I recently had surgery in my mouth, so you will see my speech has been slightly affected) Hello there - primarily open for house sitting in SF proper for minimum of 1 week for March and April. - if it’s 2+ weeks, we can negotiate on price depending on circumstance. Just FYI so you are not surprised, I recently had a surgery in my mouth so I have a slight speech impediment. ____________________________________________
About: What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I have experience caring for pets of different ages and temperaments, including senior dogs who need extra attention and gentle care. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, providing medication when needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I’m attentive to details, communicate regularly with updates and photos, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or extra cuddles, I focus on giving each pet personalized care based on their needs. If your dog has energy to burn or a place to rest, my home and care is the place to be. I have fully open availability. I am constantly hanging out with our 20 lb poodle. She loves the company of other dogs. We just lost our other 18 year old poodle due to old age in March of 2026. We love walks, park, and relaxing. Or a nice car ride through Sunnyvale! I have a small fenced yard with 1 poodle to keep your dog company. My neighborhood we walk a few times through the day. Dogs welcomed in the home and furniture. I have extra beds, toys, bowls, treats, and leashes. We just want the space to feel like home for all the fur babies!
“Ember had such a great time with Bryan and Reese. It was a doggy play center with 3 other pups this time, and the extra socialization helped Ember’s confidence grow as he interacted with similar-sized dogs in a safe environment. He was totally pooped out when he came home after walking, playing, and hanging out all day!”

About: Dogs have been and always will be one of my greatest loves! My childhood dogs made my life so much more meaningful. When our own kids were growing up we had two dogs which we adopted as puppies and had the pleasure of having until they passed from old age. Both our son and daughter are Rover dog sitters and we have greatly enjoyed helping them care for these amazing dogs. Now, we are ready to take care of our own! We are a retired couple who loves dogs and will almost always be home to provide companionship and love to your pup. We also enjoy taking dogs on neighborhood walks and making sure that they have a fantastic vacation while in our care! We have a large fenced yard and a grassy area for the dogs to run around in. We also have a swimming pool. Our peaceful neighborhood is perfect for going on walks with the dogs and we will send daily photos of your dog to you!

“My pup had the best time at Grace’s! Grace sent so many adorable pictures of my dog relaxing, walking, and playing. My pup was all tired out after coming home from a fun day at Grace and Cooper’s house!!”

About: I have been training and caring for dogs for years. No bad dogs just bad owners. Don't over complicate training. Just teach them how to be successful in fitting in to your life and environment. Three is the magic number. Three walks, 3 minuet training sessions and groom every third week. I do nails and trimmings. Save you time and money. We walk 3 times a day and we go to a fenced in dog park. I keep dogs tired so they can relax more often.
“Thanks for taking great care of Buddy! Buddy was very happy to to stay at Lulu's house with her family. He was with Lulu for 5 days for a day care and he was very happy everyday I went to pick him up. Will definitely use your services again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cupertino
Christina was a GODSEND. Came to rescue at a clutch timing, took great care of Rosie, sent amazing photos, and was communicative, scheduling meetip, pickup and dropoff were easy. Christina’s dog Boba is also a pleasure and played so well with Rosie. We’ll definitely be back!!

This was my first time using Rover and they made it such a wonderful experience. My dog is nervous, but instantly seemed comfortable with Chinhua! Plus the updates were the best to see how she was doing and settling in. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend and will book with them again!

Anahita took good care of Peanut and made him comfortable and safe even though this was the first time she took care of him for doggy daycare. The appointment eventually ran much shorter than expected as our plans had changed but Anahita was able to adjust her time and schedule appropriately. Would definitely have Peanut stay with her again.

Maria was amazing! We’re so grateful she was able to accommodate our last-minute booking and was incredibly flexible with our pickup time when our doctor's appointment ran longer than expected. She took great care of our pups, and the entire experience was stress-free. We would absolutely book with her again the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

We were very fortunate to have found Jingjing while spending time in the Bay Area from Oregon. We had a family function and needed daycare for the event and the day prior. Jingjing and her family took great care of Curry including at least one walk a day and ball throwing. Curry wasn’t anxious or stressed when we picked him up or dropped him off on the second day. We won’t hesitate to book with Jingjing if we’re visiting the area and need day care!

Tej was absolutely fantastic! She not only saved us by accepting a last minute booking, she also sent us updates on how Quinoa was doing, walked her 5 times and sent her home with a little treat, a gift and a sweet note. I would give her 6 stars if I could!

Cheryl and Ed were great with Bailey. They respond quickly to messages and were great about keeping us updated. They sent several pics and videos which we greatly appreciated. They have good knowledge about the correct way to introduce dogs slowly. Bailey had fun during her stay and we won't hesitate to leave Bailey with Cheryl and Ed again.

Karen and her family were absolutely amazing! I think she must have the patience of a saint because my dog is a handful and he absolutely loved spending time with her and became fond of her very quickly, which is unlike him. Karen made me feel at ease with great communication and updates while Winston was in her care. I truly knew he was in great hands!

Eunhee and Naveen were wonderfully flexible and understanding with our unique emergency situation. Their wonderful communication was so reassuring during a stressful time. Our male Chihuahua mix, who typically doesn't prefer men, warmed up to Naveen and apparently ended up cuddling with him and letting Naveen take him on a walk! Eunhee's communication during the visit and kind reassurance with the dogs at drop off was very welcome. We will definitely book again.

Laura was amazing with my two pups during their very first dog-sitting experience. This was the first time for me and my family to leave our dogs with someone we didn’t know, so I was definitely nervous—but Laura’s calm, kind, and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. Her home is clean, safe, and perfect for dogs. My pup Mochi can be quite anxious around new people, but Laura was incredibly patient and gentle with him, constantly reassuring him and helping him feel safe alongside his sister Coco. My husband picked them up, and while Mochi seemed a bit tired from all the emotions, both dogs came home happy—which meant everything to us. Laura also kept great communication throughout the day, which I truly appreciated. This was just a trial before their upcoming boarding, and now I feel completely confident trusting her with our pups. Highly recommend!

We are so happy with Kelly. Our boy must feel comfortable with her because he usually won’t eat much for sitters. Not only did he finish his food, he played with toys that weren’t his and had a good time with her other client. I also appreciate her confidence with him, something very important when caring for unfamiliar dogs.

Neeli had a great time at Sujatha’s home.Sujatha is very friendly, easy to communicate and a wonderful host. She is very caring, sent regular updates, pictures. Kept Neeli busy with her favorite game. Sparky got along very well with Neeli. Neeli came back very happy. Neeli will be going to Sujata’s place again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cupertino commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
