About: Elvis, a 14lb shi-poo and his two new buddies, Tucker and Nanook, love having other puppy guests over since his big brother passed on. We are very active and enjoy going for long walks and finding new things to sniff. The house is open with plenty of space to lounge on. The house is tiled except for the guest bedrooms and pretty puppy proof with a close of a few bedroom doors and a blanket on the couch. The pups have full access to a fenced outdoor space where squirrel and bird activity can be found in the mornings. I have had dogs since I was 7 years old and I volunteered at shelter for many years. I grew up with animals of all kinds on a farm in Vermont and its just my way of life. Furry friends are the best! I will cherish yours as much as I cherish mine. Please note that I prefer only weekend stay-cations for your pup but can do mid week if we arrange with enough advance notice. I have a pretty flexible schedule and my husband works from home. The dogs will get plenty of belly rubs and love. Since, we have three of our own, we are very prepared for any doggie need I have a fenced in yard and we we generally keep the dogs corralled to wherever we are or in the non carpet areas. We are happy to crate, if you bring one. Dogs can go on furniture (up to 25lb)
About: I grew up on a ranch training and taking care of dogs. I have experience with high energy dogs like German Shepherds as well as large stubborn dogs like my current dog (hunting Plott hound). For some reason, I've always connected well with dogs (probably better than humans). I love taking lots of pictures and videos of the dogs so feel free to ask me for them. I am work from home so your pet will not be left alone for more than 5 hours. I usually do a potty break in the morning ~9:00am + a evening 1 hour walk around my gated community. I visit the dog park/beach once a week as well. My apartment complex has a fenced in dog park + dog spa. I live on Santana Row so if your dog is ok with crowds I can walk them through there. I frequent local dog parks as well as dog beaches in Santa Cruz (West Cliff Dog Park) I believe in socializing dogs in new controlled environments so they are confident in themselves. Confident/Social Dog = Happy and Healthy Dog
