“Ahiram and her husband are amazing daycare sitters. They were very attentive and incredible with updates and responsiveness. Love the patience with our two kraken monsters (our dogs lol)”

“Our pup spent several days going to daycare and he had a wonderful time. They have a spacious backyard where the dogs can play and have ample exercise and fresh air. Iggy was exhausted each time he went. They took great care in making sure Iggy and all the dogs are safe and can play well together. I will be sure to book more day care for Iggy and perhaps even boarding services in the future. She also sends updates and pictures and videos before you even have time to ask and many of the pics of Iggy had big smile on his face. Thank you!”

“This is probably my nth booking with Ru, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. Ru’s reliable, caring, and clearly love the dogs she watches. Mochi gets so excited every time she visits and always comes home happy. Sometimes she seems like she’d rather stay a little longer! I always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. Thank you for taking such great care of her. See you next time! 😊🐶”

“Sofiya was very kind. It was my first time leaving my dog with someone. She sent pictures of Westley so I felt better about leaving him. He looked like he was having a wonderful time. He was in a great mood when I picked him up!”

“Mini was a wonderful host. She took really good care of Bentley and he was always happy to see her. She took care of him like family, and he definitely had a wonderful time in her care ❤️”

“Jesse is one of the few people who isn’t intimidated by a big dog. He is kind and calm and is very good with communication. Storm is cared for while in his care. I hope he’s ready to see a LOT more of us :)”

“Pissamis did an amazing job with my puppy! My pup knocked out when she got home from all the fun she had during her stay. Pissamis also did a great job sending pictures and videos all day of my pup. She can’t wait to come back :)”

“Grace is clearly a very experienced and caring dog sitter. Bailey had a great time with Grace and her family while we were out. She played with other pups nicely. And we really appreciate the photos and updates! We will be more than happy to have Bailey stay with Grace in the future!”

“Freddy was anxious when I dropped off Freddy in a new environment. Lu was patient and walked Freddy around to get used to new surroundings. Freddy was comfortable and was eventually chilling on the sofa. Thanks for the videos and timely updates Lu. Also, thanks for the polaroid photo of Freddy's stay! :) It was great meeting you and looking forward to seeing you again!”

“Megha and Avi are the absolute best! Barfi is icing on the cake 🙂 This was Luna’s first day care visit ever. I was anxious about how she would do without me, but Megha and Avi made her feel right at home. They kept me updated about her with pics and videos. Gave me a report when I went to pick her up which was insightful. She had such a great time, and even came home with a bandanna! I would definitely go back with them and recommend them to other pet parents”

“Natasha genuinely cares for animals . We were very comfortable leaving our fur baby with her . She is able to assess a pet very well and determine what will work best for them. We will definitely go back to her again. I also liked the way she onboarded our pet by taking time to introduce other fur friends one at a time❤️”

“Soojin was fantastic with my Suki girl for daycare! She sent lots of adorable photos and updates throughout the day, answered all of my questions, and made drop-off and pick-up incredibly easy. I felt completely at ease knowing Suki was in such great hands. My pup came home happy, tired, and content, which is always the best sign. I’m so grateful to have found Soojin and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter. Thank you, Soojin!”

“Ana was very caring to our little dog. She’s very thorough and amazing. So lucky to have her take care of Inday. She sends us pictures and videos to keep us updated. Very much recommended!”

“Michelle was able to accommodate my last minute request and was responsive. My puppy had a great time with her and she was communicative and made me feel comfortable. I will be booking with her again.”

“FIrst time, using Rover for our dog, Capo. Teresa & her family, are wonderful, true dog lovers. Capo felt right at home with them & their dog Skittles. Teresa texted us pictures during his stay showing us what a good time he was having. The second day we brought him over he was so excited he couldn't wait to get to the front door. Thanks again for taking good care of our little guy and hopefully, Capo will see you all again soon!!”

“Absolutely wonderful stay! My dog was well cared for, happy, and comfortable the whole time. Great communication, very reliable, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Robertsville
Megha and Avi’s family took wonderful care of Daisy yesterday! They were patient and respectful of Daisy’s nervousness around other dogs by keeping their dog Barfi near them while giving Daisy time to explore. And true to what they said, Barfi is so sweet natured and goood! He and Daisy had a peaceful day together, Barfi taking the cue that it was enough for Daisy to share the space but not ready to play together. I got so many pictures - Megha is an amazing photographer! - that I was truly put at ease throughout the day. Looks like Daisy got lots of kind attention because she was smiling in several of the pictures and came home in such a happy mood! Communication & Scheduling:100% responsive and clear. Thank you Megha, Avi and family - and of course to Barfi too!

Romeo enjoyed his day with Melissa, Vaughan and Beanie! Melissa was easygoing and caring, she even went above and beyond with extra long walks and potty breaks for him. She sent updates throughout the day, which was appreciated. Beanie’s house was very pet friendly, and Beanie was cute and well-trained as well :) Thank you!

Sandra was absolutely great. She was able to take a last-minute booking and was able to accommodate Teddy even an hour later than I originally expected to be. She was a great communicator always responding very quickly and Teddy had a great time over there. Teddy immediately felt comfortable and he went for a great walk. I will definitely be calling Sandra again.

I've booked multiple times with Christopher this year for day care. It's been great having Christopher watch them. He always makes sure they are well and having fun. I was nervous at first leaving them with a sitter but Christopher makes them feel at home to the point they don't want to leave 😆. Highly recommend and will book again!!

Juliana did a great job watching my dogs, Frenchie and Bonnie, for the day. She even picked them up, which was super helpful. I really appreciated that she was able to walk both of them together—even with one being large and the other a small Frenchie. They were well cared for, and I felt comfortable leaving them with her. I would definitely book with her again!

Eun Jung took in Muffy at last minute for daycare and appreciate her being responsive and giving us regular updates . She worked around our schedules , early drop off and Muffy was super excited seeing her again - always comforting for Pet parents to see that . Thanks for taking care of our little one !

Diem took great care of my dog—very kind, genuine, and clearly someone who really loves dogs. She has a secure fenced setup (including the front/driveway area), which made me feel comfortable right away. She showed my dog a lot of love and even took the time to ask about what she could eat because she wanted to give her something extra, which I really appreciated. By the end, my dog felt completely at home. Honestly, I think my dog was a little sad to leave… and I can’t say I blame her. Would definitely book again.

We’ve been bringing Samson for play dates with Nala and occasional boarding, and the experience has been incredible. Samson is high energy and really needed more structured socialization, Nala and Gabriella work as a team and they have been beyond perfect for him. Gabriela is so experienced and accommodating. She sends frequent updates and photos. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and you can tell the dogs are part of the family. The dogs play so nicely together, and my golden comes home happy, tired, and calm every time. He even acts depressed on days we don’t come over because he misses Nala and Gabriela so much. I’m almost hesitant to leave such a good review because I want to keep Gabriela and Nala to myself — but they absolutely deserve it. We’re so grateful to have found them!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
