“Thank you so much, Ru, for taking such great care of Mochi! She had an amazing time and it’s clear she received so much love and attention while staying with you. I truly appreciate it—you made me feel completely at ease leaving Mochi in your care. I would absolutely trust you with her again in the future!”

“Arya went for a day care visit to Natasha prior to her overnight stay. Natasha gave Arya time to sniff and get familiar with her yard. Then she took time to have introductions with the other dogs there for the day. Natasha sent me multiple photos of Arya throughout the day.”

“Ahiram and her husband are amazing daycare sitters. They were very attentive and incredible with updates and responsiveness. Love the patience with our two kraken monsters (our dogs lol)”

About: Hello! My name is Stephanie! I have owned dogs and pets my whole life and I absolutely love animals. I only care for one guest dog at a time, so your pup gets plenty of personalized attention, love, and care during their stay. I have a 3-year-old Goldendoodle who is super friendly and loves making new friends! I work remotely, so I’m available throughout the week and on weekends for overnight boarding and daycare. I especially love working with recurring families so I can build a relationship with you and your furry friend and help them feel comfortable and at home during every stay. I’m a very outdoorsy person and love taking dogs on adventures, whether that’s going to the park, exploring a dog-friendly trail, or enjoying a nice long walk. We also have a yard for plenty of playtime and outdoor fun! I can’t wait to meet you and give your pup a fun, loving, and personalized home-away-from-home! 🐶💕 I work remote and have a flexible schedule over the week so I will be able to spend all day with your best friend and give them all the love and attention they need while you are away! Your pup will be going on walks throughout the day or a trip to the dog park. I would prefer to watch your pet in my own home but am also open to pet sitting and can make arrangements to visit your pet.

“Very happy with the Grace’s day care for Puppins. She is very methodical and provides regular updates with pictures. The best part is Puppins enjoying her place as it was difficult to get her home as she kept pulling to go back with Grace. Looking forward to boarding with Grace.”

“I took my puppy, Roohi, to dog daycare for the first time, and she came home so happy! Diana and John did an amazing job taking care of her. I received photo updates throughout the day, which was a nice touch. I will definitely be recommending them and plan on bringing Roohi back regularly.”

“My 12-year-old dog was in great hands! Amy was patient, caring, and kept me updated while I was at work, which gave me peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone who truly loves dogs and cares for their well being, I highly recommend Amy!”

“Elliot has been an amazing care-taker for our little Dachsund mix. Elliot asked many detailed questions to ensure that he provided the proper care for our dog. He also was accomodating for the specific needs of our dog who can be quite reactive and anxious. Elliot was able to bond with our dog and provide him with the companionship that our dog needed while we were away. He also is incredibly friendly with us and especially our dog! I would highly recommend Elliot for any daycare needs.”

“Thank you to Lauren and Catherine for hosting my furbabies Harley and Bella! They provided exceptional care and kept me in the loop through the day. I recommend them both for anyone looking for a caring pet sitter.”

“This is my second time having Lu’s help to take care of my golden retriever. She’s great in communication, attentive to details, genuinely caring for dogs, making me always feel very comfortable to leave my dog at her home. Her home has a spacious front yard that my dog loves. Indoor dog space is hygienic and nice too. She takes our dog to walk frequently, and is very transparent about the conditions of any other dogs that she might be caring for at the same time, which I highly appreciated. I’ll definitely find Lu again next time!”

“Ana was very caring to our little dog. She’s very thorough and amazing. So lucky to have her take care of Inday. She sends us pictures and videos to keep us updated. Very much recommended!”

“Pup had a great time with Maria and her pups. Maria took great care of our pup during daycare and was very responsive. She was also available for last minute booking, which I greatly appreciate!”

“So delighted to find Madhumita. Her quiet affectionate calm and patience letting my dog, who has a trauma history, come our of his shell was just what he needed to feel comfortable. Her elderly lab is also a friendly, calm, and reassuring presence. So happy to see my pup relax and make himself at home-- in her home!”

“Mimi is so wonderful with my dog! He loves her and gets so excited to get to her house in the morning. Thank you Mimi for being so communicative, flexible, and attentive with my pup. We appreciate you!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cambrian Park
We had a very wonderful 1st daycare experience with Natasha recently! She treated our Daisy, our 16yo shihtzu, like her own during her daycare and we are so grateful for her. Daisy, aside from being a senior,is also special needs(due to her health conditions)so we made sure to write out detailed instructions (ie. times for meds, meals, etc.) for Natasha. Before we left, we spent time going over everything and Natasha asked lots of questions to make sure she understood. She is genuinely a very caring and kind person who has so much love for animals. She is super attentive and checked in often to let us know all was good, with some pics. We are so glad we found her and look forward to leaving Daisy in her care while my hubby and I can go on more dates(with a peace of mind). We did a meet and greet weeks ago where we spent 30min getting to know Natasha and then left Daisy with her for 1.5hr so they could get a good feel for each other, which we feel is such a good idea for anyone looking into a new sitter. We look forward to booking Natasha again soon(when my hubby travels for work) so she can also help administer subcutaneous fluids for our Daisy, which I am not the most comfortable doing quite yet. It so reassuring to know there are sitters like Natasha around, thank you Natasha💕 (Do keep in mind that the rate will be a little higher for special needs pets and is so worth it for the extra TLC)

Amy is fantastic! She is loving and attentive and Nova felt right at home and made fast friends with sweet Coco and the crew! Nova looks forward to her days exploring and lazing in the sun with her new pack. I would highly recommend Amy. She’s great at communication and is experienced with caring for dogs of all sizes 🐾

Eris was amazing, kind, and patient! Misty is a shy girl and it was her first time at daycare in a long time. Eris sent so many photos and videos of Misty, and you can tell she really cared about Misty. I would bring Misty back for daycare without hesitation! Thank you, Eris, for taking such good care of Misty.

Megha and Avi’s family took wonderful care of Daisy yesterday! They were patient and respectful of Daisy’s nervousness around other dogs by keeping their dog Barfi near them while giving Daisy time to explore. And true to what they said, Barfi is so sweet natured and goood! He and Daisy had a peaceful day together, Barfi taking the cue that it was enough for Daisy to share the space but not ready to play together. I got so many pictures - Megha is an amazing photographer! - that I was truly put at ease throughout the day. Looks like Daisy got lots of kind attention because she was smiling in several of the pictures and came home in such a happy mood! Communication & Scheduling:100% responsive and clear. Thank you Megha, Avi and family - and of course to Barfi too!

Samie loved staying with Krystal! Krystal was very communicative and sent pictures throughout the day. Samie usually takes a while to warm up to people, but by the second day, she was wagging her tail and barking as we pulled up! We will be working with Krystal again soon. :)

Nabil was absolutely amazing with Margoh! Very attentive and caring, and I loved all the updates and pictures that were sent throughout her stay. Communication was great, and I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in such good hands. I would definitely love to have Margoh stay with them again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful sitter!
Sandra was absolutely great. She was able to take a last-minute booking and was able to accommodate Teddy even an hour later than I originally expected to be. She was a great communicator always responding very quickly and Teddy had a great time over there. Teddy immediately felt comfortable and he went for a great walk. I will definitely be calling Sandra again.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
