“Sarah did great job walking Goldie. She was helpful throughout all the walks and very good with communicating. She followed all instructions and did the very best she could do to walk my pet.”

“Courtney has been a God send! I started using Rover just a few months ago and she was my very first dog walker and first experience…and I have nothing but positive things to say!! She’s very responsive, responsible and sends me pictures of my senior pup when I’m away. I can see the pictures and her messages and it’s comforting, and brings me peace knowing he’s in great hands. ❤️ I highly recommend her.”

“Hi, this is Charlie, Kate did a great job and took me on long walks, and when I was skipping meals because I missed my family she made sure to contact them to let them know. She always arrived on time!”

“We truly believe we have found the best dog walker ever ! Judi treats Aria like she is hers. She is very flexible and is always working around our schedule. Judi is always on time and never cuts Arias walks short. Aria is very shy but Judi is so good she adapted to her very quickly and gets very excited every time she shows up! I can’t thank Hudi enough but if you are looking for someone to take care of your baby Judi is definitely the right person !!!”
“This is my first time ever hiring dog walkers, and while I was always open to the idea, I was a little hesitant at first. Willow and Tingting have completely exceeded my expectations. They have been amazing with my little girl, Pepper, and always provide thoughtful updates after every walk. Their communication is so detailed that I almost feel like I'm right there with them. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that Pepper is happy, well cared for, and in such loving hands. I couldn't recommend them more!”
About: Follow Us on Instagram: baileys_buddies Our family has over 15 years of experience caring for pets. In addition to dog boarding in our home, I offer house sitting and drop-in visits (for cats and dogs), and dog walking. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet(s). You can trust that your pet will be safe, happy, and treated like family. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to easily accommodate drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting in your home while continuing my workday. When pets stay in my home, they receive attentive, round-the-clock care with frequent opportunities to go outside. We have a dog door for pets who are comfortable using one, and I’m always happy to take dogs out regularly if they’re not familiar with it. For dog boarding in our home, we have a pet-friendly backyard with plenty of space to roam, play, or relax on our covered patio in the shade. The yard is double-gated, providing a secure and safe environment for your pups to enjoy. When caring for pets in your home, I’m always respectful, attentive, and conscientious about following pet parents’ instructions and safety preferences to ensure their pets feel comfortable and well cared for.
“Abby is a great dog walker! We were lucky to find her for a last minute request. She responded promptly and was very easy to work with. Our pups liked her as soon as they met her. We would love to work with her again!”

“Our little Maggie loves walks with Brielle! For those looking for a loving dog walker who really loves dogs, take a chance & you won't be disappointed! Brie is very communicative, punctual & will make every attempt to work with times that work for both parties. I have even been "that person" that needs a dog walker last minute & brie has always been there with a smile to walk Maggie! Thank you so much Brie for always willing to help us out with walks, we really appreciate you!”

“I am so grateful for Terry's support with our dogs. She went above and beyond expectations!! Our dogs can be a little nervous with new people, but I knew that they were in good hands with Terry's care. We would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I grew up with dogs since the wee age of four. From Rottweilers to Poodle mixes and adorable, rescue chihuahua-somethings, I have always been lucky to have a dog or two (or three) by my side. I look forward to learning the specials things you love about your pet. I start the day taking the dogs out for a walk by the Anacostia River. In the mornings I work and take my toddler to an activity before naptime at noon. The dogs go out again after work and before dinner. There is a dog park attached to our building and an even bigger one nearby. Then finish the night with a treat and a final walk outside before snuggling into snoozeville. I have crates available for smaller dogs that prefer them and many isolated spots dogs can relax solo. I also have a pen/stroller to store my toddler if I notice a dog is feeling nervous.
“Rachel is very flexible with her time. She came over to meet our dogs before their first walk with her. Our GSM had recently refused to go with a dog walker, but he warmed up to Rachel and was happy to allow himself and his little sister be taken for a walk. Rachel communicates well and clearly has great dog energy. We highly recommend her!”

“Charlie is the absolute best! She has been doing daily walks for my dog and it is the highlight of his day. His sits by the door waiting for her to arrive, gets so stinking excited when she shows up and toodles off with her in heaven. Charlie provides detailed updates on the walk and is highly communicative with us. In short, I could not recommend Charlie more!”

Courtney is absolutely amazing! She’s super responsive, professional and thoughtful. We did a meet and greet that put me at complete ease. My outgoing boisterous pup completely welcomed Courtney into the pack. My shy pup was her shy self, eventually warming up. Courtney knew just how to engage with each of their different personalities and I could tell right away how talented Courtney is with animals. It was our pure good fortune to meet Courtney and I will definitely engage her as often as I can. 😁

Happy Summer Fun! Thank you Rachel, for seeing to our sweet Ryder for a peaceful morning walk after an eventful weekend of Parades and Boom, Booms!! He enjoys this time and I am so very grateful. Its a beautiful morning ~* Enjoy the Day & Have a great week ahead! Go USA ✨⚽

My dog and I are so glad we met Judi! She treats Finny as if he were her own and he absolutely loves her! Judi is meticulous about any instructions you have for your pup and your home and, because she has so much experience with dogs, she will let you know if she notices any changes or issues with your fur baby. As a new and somewhat anxious dog mom, I can relax and focus at work knowing Judi is coming over and Finny is safe and having a great time with her on their walks.

I had a great experience working with Avery. She arrived on time, was professional and reliable, and did everything exactly as agreed. Communication was smooth throughout the process, and I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and trustworthy dog walker, and I would be happy to work with her again in the future.

Courtney is the best of the best! I had never previously needed to hire “outside help” for one of my dogs (I only moved to the west coast a couple of years ago and previously had many friends and family nearby to help out) so I was super nervous to leave my puppy in the care of someone I didn’t know very well. Courtney put me at ease as soon as I met her. I could tell she really cared about taking care of Sadie the way I wanted her to be taken care of and Sadie warmed up to her right away. Courtney is great at what she does and very dependable. My only complaint is that she doesn’t have more availability, but that speaks to what a great dogsitter/walker she is and how many people want her services!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
