Hello/Hola! My name is Heather and I have been working with dogs and cats for 14 yrs. Prior to becoming an archaeologist (my current profession), I worked in pet services as a groomer (Corporate and Private) and sitter (Private). I love animals and cannot imagine a life without them and it is for that reason I endeavor to further develop my skills as a pet care provider and aim to create lasting relationships with my clients and their fur-family. Expectations: When your pet is in my care you can count on: * SAFETY FIRST! If your pet becomes severely stressed by being separated from you, if they suddenly become ill-ANYTHING, you will hear about it immediately. * Love: your pet will be treated like a member of my own family and will be loved, cuddled and played with as much as they want/allow. * As little or as much phone/text contact as you prefer: we understand wanting to get away from it all and we won’t interrupt you, unless you ask me to. * Photos and videos of your pet with us (usually doing something adorably silly). * Upholding your rules and routines. * Complete transparency: I don’t believe in hoodwinking my clients and putting their pets through stressful situations for personal gain and sometimes that means having to refuse service for the sake of the animal. You will receive honest feedback about how your pet was while with us and will be contacted IMMEDIATELY if any issues should arise. Finally, I am willing to travel further than the specified range if I am properly compensated for the extra time and wear on my car. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Heather was amazing with Luna. She was great with communication and photo updates and made sure Luna had a walk and playtime. Luna can be a bit anxious but Heather made her feel comfortable and right at home.

Schedule
I am a full time archaeologist and am often in the field. My schedule can be interesting to say the least and may require me to travel quite a bit. This extends my range, but also limits my home time. My schedule of availability is kept up to date! Please contact me for more information.

The most important thing I can do for you is to keep your loved one/s on their usual routine and to provide comfort and care in your absence. I follow your rules and guidance, period.
Pets
A typical day
Whether your pet is active and playful or snoozy and cuddly, they will have a blast while you’re away! We will do all we can to make them comfortable and keep them busy (or not busy) as they need. I am a huge fan of hiking and would be happy to take your pets out in nature, to the dog park, to the beach, or out around town as you like. I also love to run and would be happy to take your high energy pet on a jog with me if they ever need the exercise!
