“Brian and Emi helped Mochi felt comfortable by playing with him since it was his first time there. Teddy is adorable and is nice to share all his toys, especially his glow in the dark ball. He was sleeping in a car on our way home. Must be be tired from a fun day. 😊”

“We needed a last minute dog sitter and Anlin was responsive and more than happy to watch Dexter the next day. The whole process was smooth. Anlin and family are really nice and take awesome care of your pet. They checked in with photos throughout the day to let you know how your pet is doing. Would recommend for anyone who needs dog care.”

“I am so grateful to have found Soyoung through Rover! My 8-month old puppy, Archie, had a great time with her at doggy day care while I was in town for work. He had fun playing, going for walks, and zooming up and down her stairs. I loved getting his daily report cards, and he was absolutely exhausted and calm by the time we got back to the hotel in the evenings. I'm thrilled that I can take him with me for work travel because we now have a trusted sitter to rely on. I'm looking forward to future trips to the SCV area so we can book with Soyoung again.”

“If you're looking for a dog sitter who treats your pet like their own, look no further than Jie. She is my absolute hero when I'm on vacation. What stands out most is her genuine patience and thoughtful approach to my dog's needs. Her dog and mine are the best of friends, and it's clear they have so much fun together. She doesn't just stick to the basics of feeding and walking; she makes sure to dedicate time every single day to playing with him, which I know he loves. On top of all that, she sometimes cooks special food for Joey, which is a testament to her dedication. I am so grateful to have found someone so kind and caring to look after my doggy”

“Emma took wonderful care of Pepper while we were away! She kept us updated, made sure he was comfortable, and treated him like her own. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would absolutely trust Emma with Pepper again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

About: Beanie is a 1 year old Fluffy Frenchie who adores all animals and would love to hang out with new friends whether it’s during the workday or for a weekend getaway while their paw-rents are away. I’ve been caring for fur babies for over two decades. While I took a break from formal pet sitting during the pandemic, I continued to care for the pets of family and close friends. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs including pups with separation anxiety (we’re big fans of outings together!), picky eaters (yes, hand feeding is on the table), and pets requiring medication (oral or topical). Recently, we welcomed Beanie into our home a sweet little Frenchie who reignited all my dog mom instincts. In just six months, we’ve been through it all: potty training, tummy troubles, ear infections, skin allergies, fleas, and even her first heat cycle. It’s been a wild and joyful ride, and now we’re excited to share the love (and all that experience!) by offering pet sitting services again. If you’ve got kitties, I’m happy to stop by daily for feeding, litter cleaning, play time, and to give them all the love they need. Have a special request? Feel free to message me we’d love to meet you and your furry family! I am a stay at home dog mom. Our schedule includes 6 outings a day with 2 long walks. Beanie gets lots of playtime, cuddles, brain teasers, and training. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours. My apartment is fully puppy proofed and set up with a cozy, safe environment that encourages play, rest, and enrichment. We have a private patio for sunbathing, an on site dog park for quick outings, and plenty of walkable paths nearby for daily exercise. Because Beanie is still a pup, I’m extra mindful of supervision, routines, and creating a calm environment that feels safe and fun for visiting pets. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I stick closely to your instructions, provide detailed updates, and make sure your pet feels loved and well cared for while you're away. I have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and needs including those requiring medication, special diets, or just a little extra TLC. Feel free to share any unique needs I'm happy to accommodate!
“Ru did a wonderful job watching Augie! Ru was communicative, asked appropriate questions, and sent plenty of fun photos of Augie. Augie had so much fun with her new friend Kero, too! Would definitely book Ru again for daycare!”

“Jocelyn was very easy to work with and did a great job watching Luffy for doggie daycare! The pickup and drop offs were seamless, and it was very easy to coordinate with her. Luffy had a great time, coming back happy and loved playing with her. We got many photos throughout the day of his time, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend Jocelyn as a dogsitter!”

“Gary was an absolute godsend for my dog Jack, who has separation anxiety! This was the first time I left Jack with anyone since he developed separation anxiety after a move. Jack climbed into Gary's lap during the meet and greet, which I knew was a good sign. (He's also not a small dog.) When Gary came for housesitting with Jack, Jack was super excited to see him. I left for almost eight hours and felt confident that Jack was in good hands. When I returned home, I could see that Jack had a good day with Gary. Gary came back for two hours the next day, and I didn't worry at all. Gary had the perfect combination of calming and playful energy that Jack needed. Will definitely hire him again! Thank you, Gary!”

Even though it wasn’t a good match with Gunner, Emily was a FANTASTIC person to work with: multiple videos, pictures, and texts through the day, she worked tirelessly to help Gunner try and overcome his separation anxiety. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to others.

We had such a wonderful experience with Nasibeh! She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and cared for our dogs, Robin and Lulu as if they were her own. It was clear from the updates and photos that they were having an amazing time especially playing with her adorable dog, Cody! They came home tired and happy, and they had a fantastic stay. We also really appreciated how understanding and flexible she was with our pickup time, which made everything so much less stressful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter!

This was our first time ever leaving our puppy with a sitter/daycare, so we were definitely anxious going in. She made the entire experience incredibly easy and completely put our minds at ease. From the start, she was communicative, transparent, and sent so many photo and video updates throughout the day, which we really appreciated. The best sign of all was that our puppy immediately gravitated toward her and looked completely comfortable and happy in her care. It was clear he was getting lots of attention and love. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again and are hoping to make her our regular sitter/daycare moving forward. Highly recommend!

Anytime I leave Kaia with Diana and her team, I know I’ll get back a satisfied and tired baby. She always gets sad when I leave her off but quickly settles in. I get frequent updates and photo that always makes me smile and puts me at ease. I grateful for this team. 🫶🏼

This is probably my nth booking with Ru, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. Ru’s reliable, caring, and clearly love the dogs she watches. Mochi gets so excited every time she visits and always comes home happy. Sometimes she seems like she’d rather stay a little longer! I always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. Thank you for taking such great care of her. See you next time! 😊🐶

Ahri had a great time! She is usually anxious away from home and her humans, but she was very comfortable. We were provided frequent updates and photos, I felt very reassured she was in good hands even while needing medical supervision. We would definitely book again and recommend :)

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
