About: I have experience with: 🐶 Puppies (potty routines & reinforcing basic training) 🐾 Senior dogs requiring patience and gentle handling 🦴 Special feeding schedules and dietary needs 🐕 Multi-dog households and safe introductions I have a secure fenced yard for supervised outdoor play and exercise. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and routines to ensure each dog feels secure and cared for. You’ll receive regular photo updates so you can feel confident and relaxed while you’re away. Your dog will be treated like one of my own — with patience, consistency, and genuine care. PPet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. Aside from quick errands like grocery runs, I dedicate my time to caring for pets, which allows me to be home for extended periods and provide consistent supervision, attention, and companionship. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays, and I’m flexible with drop-offs and pick-ups. Because I structure my schedule around pet care, your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. I prioritize regular playtime, walks, feeding routines, and calm rest periods throughout the day. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and happily engaged while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, structured home environment with a secure fenced yard for safe, supervised outdoor play. All introductions are done slowly and carefully to ensure a positive experience, especially since I have had dogs and cats of my own from when I was a child and understand multi-pet dynamics. I closely monitor behavior, energy levels, and interactions at all times. Pets are never left unsupervised outside, and I follow each owner’s instructions carefully — including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and special routines. In a client’s home, I respect your space and maintain your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. Cleanliness, communication, and consistent updates (with photos!) are part of my standard care. Your pet will be treated like family in a safe, attentive, and loving environment.
“Brian and Emi helped Mochi felt comfortable by playing with him since it was his first time there. Teddy is adorable and is nice to share all his toys, especially his glow in the dark ball. He was sleeping in a car on our way home. Must be be tired from a fun day. 😊”

“Jie was responsive and flexible when making our (last minute) plans. She shared great photos and videos while watching our pup. Would absolutely not hesitate to ask Jie to look after him again. Thanks so much, Jie!”

“Loving, Attentive, Trustworthy, and Caring Princess had a great time with Ghazal and her husband! I could tell when I picked her up that not only was it a good fit but they both enjoyed their time together which meant so much to me. My girl only smiles like that when it’s real so it made my heart beam with joy knowing how much you liked each other. Thank you for the meet and greet the day before, accommodating a last minute request, excellent communication, the photos, being so flexible and patient. You are a dream sitter. We would definitely hire you again if you will have us.”

“I am so grateful to have found Soyoung through Rover! My 8-month old puppy, Archie, had a great time with her at doggy day care while I was in town for work. He had fun playing, going for walks, and zooming up and down her stairs. I loved getting his daily report cards, and he was absolutely exhausted and calm by the time we got back to the hotel in the evenings. I'm thrilled that I can take him with me for work travel because we now have a trusted sitter to rely on. I'm looking forward to future trips to the SCV area so we can book with Soyoung again.”

“Evangelyn was wonderful with Brownie. She was very caring and cared for Brownie as if she was her own pup. I received regular updates with pictures and she was always responsive. She has my highest recommendation!”

“This is probably my nth booking with Ru, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. Ru’s reliable, caring, and clearly love the dogs she watches. Mochi gets so excited every time she visits and always comes home happy. Sometimes she seems like she’d rather stay a little longer! I always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. Thank you for taking such great care of her. See you next time! 😊🐶”

“Emma took wonderful care of Pepper while we were away! She kept us updated, made sure he was comfortable, and treated him like her own. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would absolutely trust Emma with Pepper again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

About: I only board one dog at a time, so I can keep a close eye on your dog and give them plenty of attention! (I will consider two dogs from the same household.) I always do a meet-and-greet before a first stay to make sure it's a good fit for everyone, and I'll keep you updated with photos and videos while you're away. I've had dogs for nearly 20 years and have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I also have experience with senior dogs, including one with megaesophagus and myasthenia gravis, so I'm comfortable with oral and liquid medications and special feeding schedules. I work from home and only board one dog at a time, so your dog will get plenty of attention and a calm place to stay. My dog, Henry, is friendly with dogs of all sizes and is very laid back. My cat, Franklin, usually isn't interested in making dog friends and will keep her distance or hang out in another room. I work from home full time, so your dog will have company throughout the day and rarely be left alone. Our routine includes a longer morning walk, an afternoon walk, and a short walk before bed with potty breaks throughout the day. I'm also happy to adjust the routine to your dog's needs. Even though it wasn’t a good match with Gunner, Emily was a FANTASTIC person to work with: multiple videos, pictures, and texts through the day, she worked tirelessly to help Gunner try and overcome his separation anxiety. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to others.

We had such a wonderful experience with Nasibeh! She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and cared for our dogs, Robin and Lulu as if they were her own. It was clear from the updates and photos that they were having an amazing time especially playing with her adorable dog, Cody! They came home tired and happy, and they had a fantastic stay. We also really appreciated how understanding and flexible she was with our pickup time, which made everything so much less stressful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter!

This was our first time ever leaving our puppy with a sitter/daycare, so we were definitely anxious going in. She made the entire experience incredibly easy and completely put our minds at ease. From the start, she was communicative, transparent, and sent so many photo and video updates throughout the day, which we really appreciated. The best sign of all was that our puppy immediately gravitated toward her and looked completely comfortable and happy in her care. It was clear he was getting lots of attention and love. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again and are hoping to make her our regular sitter/daycare moving forward. Highly recommend!

Gary was an absolute godsend for my dog Jack, who has separation anxiety! This was the first time I left Jack with anyone since he developed separation anxiety after a move. Jack climbed into Gary's lap during the meet and greet, which I knew was a good sign. (He's also not a small dog.) When Gary came for housesitting with Jack, Jack was super excited to see him. I left for almost eight hours and felt confident that Jack was in good hands. When I returned home, I could see that Jack had a good day with Gary. Gary came back for two hours the next day, and I didn't worry at all. Gary had the perfect combination of calming and playful energy that Jack needed. Will definitely hire him again! Thank you, Gary!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
