“Brian and Emi helped Mochi felt comfortable by playing with him since it was his first time there. Teddy is adorable and is nice to share all his toys, especially his glow in the dark ball. He was sleeping in a car on our way home. Must be be tired from a fun day. 😊”

About: I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember, so caring for animals has always been part of my everyday life. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and look after their pets while they’re away. So being around animals has always been a natural and joyful part of my life. I truly enjoy their company and the unique personality each one brings. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of many breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m patient with energetic puppies, attentive to routines, and gentle with senior dogs who need a calmer pace and extra care. What sets me apart is the attention I give each pet. I take the time to understand their personality, comfort level, and daily routine so they feel relaxed and safe. Whether that means active walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I adapt to what makes each dog happiest. As a pet owner myself, I completely understand the responsibility that comes with caring for someone’s pet. I know how important it is to be attentive, observant of their behavior, and communicative with owners so they feel confident and at ease while they’re away. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved, while giving you peace of mind through attentive care and regular updates. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my priority. When they’re with me, you can expect: Attentive care: I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and routines so pets feel safe and understood. Playtime & exercise: Walks and interaction tailored to your dog’s personality and energy level. Patience & calm care: Gentle with senior dogs and patient with younger or more energetic pups. Reliable communication: Regular photo and message updates so you know how your pet is doing. Loving companionship: I truly enjoy animals’ company and treat every pet like family. Why pet owners trust me As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone who is responsible, observant, and caring. Always do my best to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved.
“Jie and her partner were so great with Kaio!!! He is usually very shy but he immediately looked at home with them. He even played with their sweet Shiba Inu! I really appreciated all the updates and pictures as well. Thank you!!!”

“Emma took wonderful care of Pepper while we were away! She kept us updated, made sure he was comfortable, and treated him like her own. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would absolutely trust Emma with Pepper again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“I just wanted to share my great experience with you all. Today, my dog was in Soyoung's daycare, and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the level of care and attention he received. My dog is struggling with social skills (being super shy and timid), so I was a little worried about leaving him. However, Soyoung went above and beyond to ensure he had a fantastic time. She kept me updated throughout the day with photos of my dog. It was so heartwarming to receive those updates and see that my dog was having a great time. I really appreciate the extra effort she put in to make me feel at ease while my pet was in her care. My dog is a picky eater, and she even took the time to offer me some helpful advice when I came to pick him up. I'm so grateful for her kindness and expertise. She truly went out of her way to make sure my dog was happy and comfortable, and that means the world to me. If you're looking for someone who is caring and friendly to take care your pet, I highly recommend Soyoung. She is truly amazing.”

“Ru did a wonderful job watching Augie! Ru was communicative, asked appropriate questions, and sent plenty of fun photos of Augie. Augie had so much fun with her new friend Kero, too! Would definitely book Ru again for daycare!”

About: I have firsthand experience caring for my own beloved Yorkshire Terrier, who, due to health reasons, is currently not with me in the U.S. I really miss him and this is why I want to care for other dogs — we need each other! :) ● I specialize in caring for small (under 20 lbs), vaccinated breeds and have experience providing attentive care for dogs with special health needs, as my own pup has a genetic liver condition and has undergone surgery. ● I understand their emotional needs, such as separation anxiety, and how to ensure they feel safe and loved. ● I promise never to hit them, even if they make big mistakes — just as I wouldn’t want to be treated that way as a human. :) I currently have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, so I can provide plenty of attention and care for your pup. I provide a safe, smoke-free, and child-free home with full-time supervision. My apartment has 24/7 security monitoring and is just a 1-min walk from a large park and a dog park, where I take dogs for daily walks. I ONLY care for ONE dog at a time, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in a stress-free environment.
About: Beanie is a 1 year old Fluffy Frenchie who adores all animals and would love to hang out with new friends whether it’s during the workday or for a weekend getaway while their paw-rents are away. I’ve been caring for fur babies for over two decades. While I took a break from formal pet sitting during the pandemic, I continued to care for the pets of family and close friends. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs including pups with separation anxiety (we’re big fans of outings together!), picky eaters (yes, hand feeding is on the table), and pets requiring medication (oral or topical). Recently, we welcomed Beanie into our home a sweet little Frenchie who reignited all my dog mom instincts. In just six months, we’ve been through it all: potty training, tummy troubles, ear infections, skin allergies, fleas, and even her first heat cycle. It’s been a wild and joyful ride, and now we’re excited to share the love (and all that experience!) by offering pet sitting services again. If you’ve got kitties, I’m happy to stop by daily for feeding, litter cleaning, play time, and to give them all the love they need. Have a special request? Feel free to message me we’d love to meet you and your furry family! I am a stay at home dog mom. Our schedule includes 6 outings a day with 2 long walks. Beanie gets lots of playtime, cuddles, brain teasers, and training. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours. My apartment is fully puppy proofed and set up with a cozy, safe environment that encourages play, rest, and enrichment. We have a private patio for sunbathing, an on site dog park for quick outings, and plenty of walkable paths nearby for daily exercise. Because Beanie is still a pup, I’m extra mindful of supervision, routines, and creating a calm environment that feels safe and fun for visiting pets. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I stick closely to your instructions, provide detailed updates, and make sure your pet feels loved and well cared for while you're away. I have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and needs including those requiring medication, special diets, or just a little extra TLC. Feel free to share any unique needs I'm happy to accommodate!

“Haoyuan was incredibly caring and sweet to our dog, Daisy. She gave us lots of updates with photos and videos throughout the day. She even treated her to some fresh watermelon as a treat. Our dog also loved playing with Haoyuan’s dog, Mao-Mao.”

“What a fantastic sitter! My puppy and I were truly in great hands. I was incredibly lucky to find Connor available at the last minute on Christmas Day. He went above and beyond—especially handling my dog’s separation anxiety, which I regrettably forgot to mention ahead of time. I would absolutely hire him again. Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas 🎁”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Clara
Gary was an absolute godsend for my dog Jack, who has separation anxiety! This was the first time I left Jack with anyone since he developed separation anxiety after a move. Jack climbed into Gary's lap during the meet and greet, which I knew was a good sign. (He's also not a small dog.) When Gary came for housesitting with Jack, Jack was super excited to see him. I left for almost eight hours and felt confident that Jack was in good hands. When I returned home, I could see that Jack had a good day with Gary. Gary came back for two hours the next day, and I didn't worry at all. Gary had the perfect combination of calming and playful energy that Jack needed. Will definitely hire him again! Thank you, Gary!

This is probably my nth booking with Ru, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. Ru’s reliable, caring, and clearly love the dogs she watches. Mochi gets so excited every time she visits and always comes home happy. Sometimes she seems like she’d rather stay a little longer! I always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. Thank you for taking such great care of her. See you next time! 😊🐶

Ahri had a great time! She is usually anxious away from home and her humans, but she was very comfortable. We were provided frequent updates and photos, I felt very reassured she was in good hands even while needing medical supervision. We would definitely book again and recommend :)

Diana and John take such good care of my Italian Greyhound, Benny. They are very communicative and send lots of great pictures. They take extra care in ensuring that a dog is a good fit for their group during the meet and greet before booking, and they have an ideal set up for the dogs at their home. Benny is always visibly excited when we come to daycare, and has even tried to go back in at pick up! Overall, I’ve had such a wonderful experience with them. Highly recommend

Eunhee and Naveen were wonderfully flexible and understanding with our unique emergency situation. Their wonderful communication was so reassuring during a stressful time. Our male Chihuahua mix, who typically doesn't prefer men, warmed up to Naveen and apparently ended up cuddling with him and letting Naveen take him on a walk! Eunhee's communication during the visit and kind reassurance with the dogs at drop off was very welcome. We will definitely book again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Santa Clara commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
