“Loving, Attentive, Trustworthy, and Caring Princess had a great time with Ghazal and her husband! I could tell when I picked her up that not only was it a good fit but they both enjoyed their time together which meant so much to me. My girl only smiles like that when it’s real so it made my heart beam with joy knowing how much you liked each other. Thank you for the meet and greet the day before, accommodating a last minute request, excellent communication, the photos, being so flexible and patient. You are a dream sitter. We would definitely hire you again if you will have us.”

Astro took to her immediately when they met and it dint feel like it was his first day out ! At the end of the day when Remya shared her observations about Astro, it felt like Astro really connected with her! I strongly recommend Remya for dog-sitting and definitely be boarding Astro with her again!”

About: Hi! I grew up with a sweet Golden Retriever, and while I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’ve been lucky to host and care for many different breeds and personalities over the years. From playful puppies to gentle giants, I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique quirks and making them feel right at home. Because I’m not currently working, I can dedicate plenty of time, attention, and love to your furry friend. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I make sure every pup gets the care they deserve. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet in good hands, so I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own — with patience, safety, and affection every step of the way. Looking forward to welcoming your four-legged family member! 🐶❤️ I’m currently not working, so I have plenty of time to give your pet my full attention. I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship throughout the day, ensuring they’re well cared for and never lonely. Weekdays and weekends works. We have an independent house and a small patio that is walled. We also have a gated dog park in our community that is private to only residents. We have ring cameras outside the house and also doggy cam inside the house to always a watch on the pet we host and take care.
“This is our 2nd booking with Stefania. She dog sat Hazel for ~7 hours. She took her on 2 dog walks and sent me photos throughout the time she had her. Stefania is timely with communicating. She is a very kind person and is a great dog sitter that is able to manage Hazels anxiety and takes great care of Hazel. I would love to rebook with her again.”

“Steve and his partner (fiancée!) are wonderful pet-sitters, super friendly to work with, and highly communicative. They happily accommodated a last-minute stay for Brady as a new client, which was so appreciated. When I picked up Brady, she was happy, not stressed, and clean :) We will definitely be back—thanks so much!”

“Catherine so great sitter, she dedicated herself today to taking care Colby, who is only 6 month puppy. She kept great updates on Colby, and also gave us quiet advice on training. I look forward to using her service soon.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own Samoyed, which has given me a strong understanding of large-breed dogs, their energy levels, grooming needs, and daily routines. In addition to Samoyeds, I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, as well as cats. What sets me apart is my patience, attentiveness, and ability to follow care instructions closely. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, habits, and comfort level, whether that means energetic walks, gentle playtime, or simply providing calm companionship. I also help reinforce basic routines such as leash manners, feeding schedules, potty breaks, and medication if needed. Since I work part-time, I have a flexible schedule and can give pets the time and attention they deserve. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety and well-being. I work part-time as a dental assistant, which gives me a flexible and predictable schedule. This allows me to plan pet care visits, walks, and check-ins thoughtfully throughout my day and week. I only accept bookings that I can fully commit to, so pets always receive attentive, unrushed care. Pet care fits comfortably into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy spending my free time caring for dogs and cats. I care for pets with a focus on safety, trust, and comfort. Whether in the pet’s home or during visits, I follow your instructions carefully, ensure the environment is secure, and supervise pets at all times. I pay attention to each animal’s needs and personality, providing food, water, playtime, or rest as appropriate. I also send updates to keep owners informed and reassured.
About: I always loved dogs since my childhood but couldn’t have one till 5 years ago. The pandemic time seemed the perfect time to get a puppy. I’ve a samoyed dog named Caesar whom we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old. Hence, I do have experience looking after puppies. I also have experience with house training and crate training, if necessary. Note: I won’t be accepting breeds like pitbull, huskies and german shepherds. I’m currently not working so I will be home all day to look after your fur baby. There might be occasional 1-2 hours that I might be out running errands but I will almost always be home. I’ve a fenced backyard and a very friendly 5-yr old dog. I also have a kid who is 3.5 years old, hence I would kindly request any potential client to make sure that your fur babies are friendly with other dogs and kids. If in doubt, please ping me before booking with me. I can give potty breaks as often as necessary and can also take them out on walks twice a day.

Walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles are built into our daily schedule well. Our home is quiet, cozy and pet-friendly. We follow each pet’s usual routine closely and provide a safe and loving environment where they can feel secure and relaxed.

“Our dog Winnie took to Ruochen immediately. Winnie is normally hesitant around men, however Ruochen's confidence and warmth won over our American Bully. Ruochen is prompt, trustworthy, communicates well and sends pictures. We will definitely use him again.”

Ashita was absolutely great! I was running late picking up kimchi and she was incredibly thoughtful, flexible, and accommodating w my schedule. Kimchi seemed very happy and comfortable during the stay. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter. Thanks!

Diola was great with Hendrix! This was our first time using Rover as well as Hendrix staying with someone he didn’t know. Tuan is amazing! He truly took the time to understand my dog's unique personality and needs. Getting frequent video updates was wonderful and kept me connected the whole time. I didn't worry for a second knowing my dog was in such capable and caring hands. Thank you, Tuan!

Venkat did a fantastic job boarding Spark! It’s always tough leaving your dog behind, but Venkat made the entire experience stress-free. He was highly attentive, followed all of Spark's care routines, and kept me updated throughout the stay. Spark came home happy and well-rested. I would absolutely trust Venkat to watch him again in the future!

We cannot recommend Priyanka and Mandar enough! You are professional, reliable, and it is clear that you genuinely care about the pets in your care. Since this was our first time using Rover, we appreciated the initial meet-and-greet. Priyanka was very friendly and guided us through the process, which gave us peace of mind that Flora was in good hands. The regular updates, photos, and videos shared during her stay were also much appreciated. Flora was very happy when we picked her up, and it is such a relief to find someone so trustworthy. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Milpitas commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
