“I’m so grateful I found her! I needed a sitter at the last minute due to an emergency and wasn’t have the opportunity to do the usual meet-and-greet beforehand. She understood my situation right away from my message and graciously agreed to help. From the moment Snow arrived, I could tell she was in caring hands. Not only did she take wonderful care of her, but her husband was also involved and treated Snow with so much love and attention. They played with her, chased her around, kept her engaged, and truly made her feel like part of their family. Snow is house-trained but had an accident on their carpet. They were incredibly understanding and kind about it, and never made me feel uncomfortable or worried. I received regular photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Her two dogs are also adorable, friendly, and welcoming. Snow absolutely loved being there and looked so happy in every picture. It genuinely felt like she was on her own little vacation! Finding someone who treats your pet / baby like family is rare, and that’s exactly what they did. I would trust them with Snow again without hesitation and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate, and reliable sitter.”

“Feng made our shy pup Toby feel comfortable right away! She gave him lots of cuddles and treats, making him feel right at home. I will book again with Feng in the future!”

About: I care for a small group at a time so each dog gets plenty of supervision, play, and rest. I’m very patient with shy, anxious, and senior dogs, and I’m experienced with puppies—including potty routines, basic manners, and crate training support. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, energy level, and comfort, and I adjust care as needed. Safety and communication are a top priority for me, and I always keep owners updated so they can feel confident and at ease while they’re away. My schedule is built around feeding times, potty breaks, play sessions, walks, and rest periods to make sure each pet gets consistent care and attention throughout the day. I work from home, which allows me to closely supervise pets, keep them on their normal routines, and adjust care based on their energy level or needs. This consistency helps pets feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. In my home, pets enjoy supervised playtime, regular potty breaks, walks, and safe play in my fenced backyard, along with plenty of rest. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely and provide updates so owners can feel confident their pet is well cared for.
“Anna took care of my 6 month old pup in daycare for the 1st time! While my pup was a bit shy, Anna was a great communicator throughout our experience. She actively sent updates and also agreed for a meet and greet as it was my pup’s first time at a daycare. Anna has outdoor space including a pool if your dog loves water.”

“Nano had a great time at Ashita’s. Before the day care day, Ashita even accommodated meet and greet which we appreciated. By the end of the visit, Nano wasn’t sure she wanted to leave! We will definitely rebook!”

“100% amazing experience all around! Jiapeng and Katelyn took wonderful care of our Yuffie girl. We got plenty of updates and pictures from the day, she had a walk and plenty of potty breaks, and had an abundant amount of play time with them and Pika! We are very satisfied with their attention and care of Yuffie and will definitely book with them again!”

About: I have always loved taking care of animals. I am naturally a caretaker and enjoy to be with animals. I have experience from small to larger dogs. I also enjoy to bathe the animals so if you need me to do that; I can. I work full time from home . I take walks twice a day and love to walk with animals. This fits my schedule and lifestyle perfectly. I have a very large home occupied by just me and my daughter. I have a large fenced backyard. My pet guests are welcome to be inside or out side in a safe environment. They will have access to water and food when needed. I am always home so your pets will never be lonley.
“Xiuhui aka Sophie is very responsive and responsible taking care of my shy, timid baby girl. Sophie takes my girl out for walks at least two times even it’s just 6-8 hours day care. Gives timely updates and pictures of my girl. Most important thing for me is that she’s punctual and flexible. I had bad experience when the sitter didn’t come out to pick up my dog on time and didn’t reply to messages or phone call for like 20 minutes because they “forget and mute my phone” then the traffic became horrible for me. Sophie replies messages in a timely fashion. Sometimes we need to drop my dog off early than scheduled, sometimes we need to pick her up late, and Sophie is all fine with that without any issues. I highly recommend her and will continue letting her take care of my baby girl.”

About: I'm Toby's dog dad—a Golden Retriever trained to near-service-dog standards. That taught me how to read a dog's body language, earn trust fast, and lead with calm, steady energy. Confident or shy, your pup gets the same patient care I give Toby every day. 💛 Your weekend getaway is your pup's getaway too. 🐾 Weekends are all I do—so your dog gets my full attention, not leftover time squeezed around a workday. 🦴 Friday: late afternoon onward 🦴 Saturday & Sunday: all day into the evening Perfect for a weekend trip or a single overnight. Reach out and let's see if our dates line up! The main attraction: a private, fully-fenced backyard with a grassy lawn to run on, shade trees for cool rest, and a dog cot for lounging. 🌳 It's Toby's favorite place, and your pup is welcome to make it theirs. Inside, my home is tidy and hazard-free. I supervise closely, follow your dog's routine, and send photo updates throughout the stay. I just ask that guests be current on flea/tick prevention and core vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella).
“Michelle’s family took good care of Mochi for his day visit . Received multiple photos and updated throughout the day. This was very helpful because this was Mochi’s first dog sitting experience. Mochi had a great time and I would definitely rebook the service.”

“Grace is such an attentive and caring daycare provider for my dog. She's very communicative and made sure Arya was well cared for. Thank you so much for all you do!”

“My dog Sheera stayed with Dakshina and Rahul for a day. I got lots of photos and video updates. They took good care of Sheera. When I reached to pick him he was very comfortable with them and was playing with them. I would highly recommend them and would board Sheera with them again.”

About: I’ve always had a lot of love for pets! And I thought it would be a good idea to incorporate things I like doing to my daily routine so why not take this opportunity to take care of a bunch of fur babies! Unfortunately I do not do meet and greets but I do send pictures of my yard and house so you can see where your fur babies will be staying and do calls before drop offs! I work from home and the rest of my day is pretty empty so I thought this would be a perfect distraction and a great second part time job for me! The dogs will be allowed to be inside or outside as well. I do have a big backyard for them to run around and play with fences of course for their safety!
“This was Emma’s first Rover booking, and she did a great job! She was very accommodating when we had to make some last minute scheduling changes, which I really appreciated. Homer came home happy and healthy, and I felt comfortable leaving him in her care. I’d definitely book with Emma again and wish her all the best as she continues with Rover!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
