“I’m so grateful I found her! I needed a sitter at the last minute due to an emergency and wasn’t have the opportunity to do the usual meet-and-greet beforehand. She understood my situation right away from my message and graciously agreed to help. From the moment Snow arrived, I could tell she was in caring hands. Not only did she take wonderful care of her, but her husband was also involved and treated Snow with so much love and attention. They played with her, chased her around, kept her engaged, and truly made her feel like part of their family. Snow is house-trained but had an accident on their carpet. They were incredibly understanding and kind about it, and never made me feel uncomfortable or worried. I received regular photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Her two dogs are also adorable, friendly, and welcoming. Snow absolutely loved being there and looked so happy in every picture. It genuinely felt like she was on her own little vacation! Finding someone who treats your pet / baby like family is rare, and that’s exactly what they did. I would trust them with Snow again without hesitation and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate, and reliable sitter.”

“Feng made our shy pup Toby feel comfortable right away! She gave him lots of cuddles and treats, making him feel right at home. I will book again with Feng in the future!”

“100% amazing experience all around! Jiapeng and Katelyn took wonderful care of our Yuffie girl. We got plenty of updates and pictures from the day, she had a walk and plenty of potty breaks, and had an abundant amount of play time with them and Pika! We are very satisfied with their attention and care of Yuffie and will definitely book with them again!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life — from barnyard pets to beloved family cats and dogs — and I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone new. As a proud pet parent to a playful Frenchie and a sweet rescue cat, I know firsthand the love, patience, and consistency pets need to feel safe and happy. I’m currently taking a break from the corporate world, which means your pet gets my full attention, a flexible schedule, and prompt communication. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or special-care routines, I treat every animal as if they were my own. One of my favorite parts of pet sitting is capturing their personality with photo and video updates so you can see how much fun they’re having. Your peace of mind — and your pet’s comfort and well-being — are always my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companion soon! I’m currently taking a break from the corporate world, giving me the flexibility to bring joy and companionship to your pet’s day. I pride myself on being attentive, detail-oriented, and fully present to meet their needs. Whether your pet requires special care or just some extra love and attention, their happiness and well-being are always my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companion soon!
“Max was great with my dog! He made me feel comfortable, and Toby is such a sweet, friendly dog. My pup came home happy, and I really appreciated the care and attention. I'd definitely recommend Max! 🐾😊”

“Melissa & Tommy are genuinely such good to honest animal loving people. We are so appreciative of their patience and calm demeanor around our furbabies. Our furbabies are a lot to handle. One of them has high anxiety to loud sounds, movements, strangers and the little one is a snuggly rascal. But Melissa & Tommy handled and cared for them with so much love. We are grateful. They also provided tons of updates. We appreciate that a lot! Thank you so much!!”

“Our golden retriever stayed with Ezra for doggy daycare and he came back home happy and tired. Ezra was amazing and kept us updated on how he was doing, as this was his first time with her. Will definitely keep him with her in the future.”

About: I care for a small group at a time so each dog gets plenty of supervision, play, and rest. I’m very patient with shy, anxious, and senior dogs, and I’m experienced with puppies—including potty routines, basic manners, and crate training support. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, energy level, and comfort, and I adjust care as needed. Safety and communication are a top priority for me, and I always keep owners updated so they can feel confident and at ease while they’re away. My schedule is built around feeding times, potty breaks, play sessions, walks, and rest periods to make sure each pet gets consistent care and attention throughout the day. I work from home, which allows me to closely supervise pets, keep them on their normal routines, and adjust care based on their energy level or needs. This consistency helps pets feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away. I follow each pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. In my home, pets enjoy supervised playtime, regular potty breaks, walks, and safe play in my fenced backyard, along with plenty of rest. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely and provide updates so owners can feel confident their pet is well cared for.
“Sophie took such great care of our Oni girl. She sent photos, video and updates throughout the day. We loved seeing how much fun she was having with Sophie. Thank you for taking such great care of her! We will definitely book Sophie again.”

About: I’ve always had a lot of love for pets! And I thought it would be a good idea to incorporate things I like doing to my daily routine so why not take this opportunity to take care of a bunch of fur babies! Unfortunately I do not do meet and greets but I do send pictures of my yard and house so you can see where your fur babies will be staying and do calls before drop offs! I work from home and the rest of my day is pretty empty so I thought this would be a perfect distraction and a great second part time job for me! The dogs will be allowed to be inside or outside as well. I do have a big backyard for them to run around and play with fences of course for their safety!
“I love booking with Anna, this is my 2nd time leaving my fur baby with her and she is so good with him. Anna is very understanding and accommodating to my puppy’s needs. She follows instructions and gives my puppy the attention he needs. Will definitely be coming back to Anna when we need her to look after my fur baby Oreo. Thank you Anna!”

Juanyi and her husband are very caring dog sitters. My dog was very comfortable at their place as if home away from home. Juanyi is very good on keeping you informed with pictures and videos on how your dog stay is going. I am happy and looking forward to keep my dog for a longer stay soon.

Pepe enjoyed also his playmates during his stay i can tell with the videos Feng sent. Highly Recommended!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
