“Ghazal was very caring with my dog, she took great care of her and we couldn’t be happier. She was very puntual and responded quickly all the time. I would totally recommend her.”

“I’ve tried several dog daycares and sitters, but Gunyung is truly the BEST dog lover I’ve ever met! My dog is quite picky with people, yet by the second time, he was already running toward her and trying to jump into her arms.😂 She takes my dog on picnics, parks, and even brings him to her friends’ dogs’ birthday party 🥳. Seeing my dog in the photos she shared, it was the happiest I’ve ever seen him! Gunyung is calm, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about the dog she looks after. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her, and I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.👍🙏”

“I’m so happy that Dawn has the patience for my senior dog. Stan has now visited Dawn three times and he is getting more comfortable every time. Dawn has gone above and beyond to ensure Stan’s is welcome in her home.”

About: What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I have experience caring for pets of different ages and temperaments, including senior dogs who need extra attention and gentle care. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, providing medication when needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I’m attentive to details, communicate regularly with updates and photos, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or extra cuddles, I focus on giving each pet personalized care based on their needs. If your dog has energy to burn or a place to rest, my home and care is the place to be. I have fully open availability. I am constantly hanging out with our 20 lb poodle. She loves the company of other dogs. We just lost our other 18 year old poodle due to old age in March of 2026. We love walks, park, and relaxing. Or a nice car ride through Sunnyvale! I have a small fenced yard with 1 poodle to keep your dog company. My neighborhood we walk a few times through the day. Dogs welcomed in the home and furniture. I have extra beds, toys, bowls, treats, and leashes. We just want the space to feel like home for all the fur babies!

“Leonardo did a great job taking care of Morita. She enjoyed a couple of walk and a lot of cuddling at his home. His schedule was very flexible and that worked perfect for us. We will definitely think of Leonardo next time we are in California to take care of Morita.”

“Steve and his partner (fiancée!) are wonderful pet-sitters, super friendly to work with, and highly communicative. They happily accommodated a last-minute stay for Brady as a new client, which was so appreciated. When I picked up Brady, she was happy, not stressed, and clean :) We will definitely be back—thanks so much!”

“Erika is best with our puppy. She gives her a lot of attention and care. She updates frequently so it's easy to know how the days been going. I really appreciate the extra tips and tricks she shares during dropoff and pickup to keep helping our pup learn and train.”

About: Hi! I grew up with a sweet Golden Retriever, and while I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’ve been lucky to host and care for many different breeds and personalities over the years. From playful puppies to gentle giants, I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique quirks and making them feel right at home. Because I’m not currently working, I can dedicate plenty of time, attention, and love to your furry friend. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I make sure every pup gets the care they deserve. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet in good hands, so I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own — with patience, safety, and affection every step of the way. Looking forward to welcoming your four-legged family member! 🐶❤️ I’m currently not working, so I have plenty of time to give your pet my full attention. I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship throughout the day, ensuring they’re well cared for and never lonely. Weekdays and weekends works. We have an independent house and a small patio that is walled. We also have a gated dog park in our community that is private to only residents. We have ring cameras outside the house and also doggy cam inside the house to always a watch on the pet we host and take care.
About: We only take one dog at a time. No sharing attention, no competing for space or affection, just your dog, fully at the center of our home. That one-on-one care is something we feel strongly about. And yes, I said "we" - my husband is a huge dog lover too, so your pup gets a two-person team fully invested in their comfort and happiness. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your dog has company throughout the day, no long stretches alone. I'm also very active (I run regularly and strength train), so high-energy dogs who need long walks, runs, or serious outdoor play are right up my alley. I'm the kind of sitter who follows your care instructions to the letter, sends photo and video updates without you having to ask, and genuinely worries about whether your dog is adjusting okay. Whether your pup needs structured routines, extra patience settling in, or just someone who'll sit on the floor giving belly rubs for an unreasonable amount of time, that's me. Pet care isn't something I squeeze in, it's a natural part of how my days already look. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so any dog in my care has real companionship throughout the day, not just check-ins between other commitments. I understand the rhythm dogs need : consistent feeding times, daily exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of downtime too. I've been hands-on with dog care for years, from daily walks and playtime to multi-week overnight stays, so I'm comfortable with the full picture of what it takes to keep a dog happy and settled in a new environment. My husband and I are both active and home most of the day, so your dog fits right into our routine rather than being squeezed around it. Whether it's a morning walk, an afternoon play session, or just quiet couch time in the evening, there's always someone around giving your pup attention. 1. Provide a safe and comfortable environment: I would make sure that my home is a safe and welcoming environment for the pet. This would include ensuring that the pet has access to clean water, food, a comfortable place to sleep, and plenty of toys to play with. 2. Stick to their routine: I would ask the pet's owner about their routine, and try to stick to it as closely as possible. This would include feeding the pet at the same time each day, taking them for walks at their usual times, and ensuring they get plenty of exercises. 3. Give them plenty of attention: Pets need lots of attention and affection, and I would make sure to give them plenty of both. This would include playing with them, cuddling them, and spending time with them to help them feel comfortable and loved. 4. Monitor their health: I would keep a close eye on the pet's health, and look out for any signs of illness or distress. If I notice anything out of the ordinary, I would contact the pet's owner or a veterinarian as soon as possible. 5. Clean up after them: Pets can make a mess, so I would make sure to clean up after them to keep my home clean and hygienic. This would include cleaning up any accidents or messes, as well as regularly washing their food and water bowls. 6. I want every stay to feel easy and safe, for your dog and for mine as a home. So a few basics: your pup should be house-trained, good around people, and not the type to bark the neighborhood down. I'll also collect vaccination records, flea/tick prevention details, and an emergency contact before we confirm anything — just so we're all covered. Overall, my goal as a dog sitter would be to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for the pet. I understand that every pet is unique, and I would work closely with the owner to ensure that their pet receives the best possible care while in my home.
“Zeke was well cared for by Rachel, and enjoyed his time while with her. I appreciated Rachel’s proactiveness and transparency in communications. She was very thoughtful and made sure I got to see where Zeke would be spending his time with another small dog in her home, around her baby, and in the neighborhood for walks. She provided updates throughout the day and was very flexible working around my schedule. Zeke was a happy boy when I picked him up! I would definitely book with Rachel again and highly recommend her to care for your fur baby.”

“Florence kept me informed of Dora’s day care activity with many photos. She looks happier and came back happy and healthy as well. Florence gives me good tips how to take care of Dora also. She is great. I’ll definitely return next time.”

About: I have taken care of pets for my family and friends like my own. I have experience in pet sitting medium size dogs. I board only one pet at a time to make sure they get quality care and full attention. I’m currently a working professional from home mostly. I can take care of pets given a prior notice. I can take them for a walk. I have a fenced apartment. I stay at home most of the time and will make sure to take care of your pet. There’s a big park in my community so going out for a walk is not an issue
“Ashita was wonderful for our 5 month old doodle, Kulfi! Extremely loving, caring and doting attention to our puppy. He felt immediately at home with her. She constantly sent us updates and pics, and asked us specifics on his feeding and other schedules. Kulfi seemed very happy when we picked him up, and when he jumped on us with happiness, he jumped on her too, which showed that he had a great time with her. She also has a lovely open yard, which our doodle loved. Thank you, Ashita!”

“Galina took great care of Snooki for the day. He even ate which he doesn’t usually do on Day 1. Communication was excellent and I received a lot of photos and updates. Felt very reassured about Snooki’s care.”

“I had my dog Winston over for about two weeks of daycare. Lana was great! Super friendly and gave me plenty of pics and updates. Would happily message her again if I ever need someone to watch my pup”

“Brian and Emi helped Mochi felt comfortable by playing with him since it was his first time there. Teddy is adorable and is nice to share all his toys, especially his glow in the dark ball. He was sleeping in a car on our way home. Must be be tired from a fun day. 😊”

“Our lab puppy Bella had a great time with Alice! Bella enjoyed her stay playing with the dogs. Alice provided us with photo and video updates throughout the day. We felt that she was kind and loving and we would be happy to send Bella back again. We highly recommend her!”

“Fariba went above and beyond caring for Teddy, and I couldn’t be more grateful. 💛 I’m very selective about who I leave Teddy with, so trusting someone new was a big step for me. From the moment we met, Fariba was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. She treated Teddy like family and made sure he felt safe, comfortable, and loved. She even cooked him homemade chicken and rice to make sure he ate well, which was such an incredibly thoughtful gesture. Throughout Teddy’s stay, Fariba sent regular updates with photos and messages, was always quick to respond, and made me feel completely at ease knowing how he was doing. Knowing Teddy was in such loving hands gave me complete peace of mind. I wholeheartedly recommend Fariba to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and truly exceptional dog sitter. Thank you again, Fariba—we’re so grateful to have found you! 🐶💛”

“Recently moved, and our dog unexpectedly showed severe separation anxiety. The first person we worked with was unable to keep Gunner calm, but Rodrigo was a dog whisperer, helping him calm and acclimate to the area. Which helped calm and let me acclimate. Absolutely would recommend, absolutely will use again.”

Fariba was great. She sent us a video of Henry meeting the other dogs at day care to show how he acclimated. Then, sent a couple more videos during the day as she took him on walks and as he played with other dogs. Henry came home happy and promptly passed out for the night.

Just want to hop on here and add a recent review. Sarah is highly professional and experienced with dogs. My dog gets super excited every time he knows he will have day care with Sarah. Definitely more excited that staying with me. And her photos of my dog at day care are always so funny!

Akshata did such an amazing job watching Noodles on short notice. He immediately was so excited to meet her (without any prior meet and greet). Akshata sent funny photos and videos during the day. It's easy to tell she has great experience and is amazing around dogs!

Steve and his partner (fiancée!) are wonderful pet-sitters, super friendly to work with, and highly communicative. They happily accommodated a last-minute stay for Brady as a new client, which was so appreciated. When I picked up Brady, she was happy, not stressed, and clean :) We will definitely be back—thanks so much!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Gunyung! She took care of my dog, Cookie, for 3 days (Monday to Wednesday) while I was on a business trip. Cookie loved going to Gunyung's house so much that he would literally bring me his harness in the morning! Every evening when he came back, he was happily exhausted from playing so much. Gunyung was also very communicative, replying to my messages quickly and sending plenty of great photos throughout the day. I felt completely at ease leaving Cookie with her. I will definitely book with Gunyung again next time I need help!

Hua was absolutely wonderful with Kimchi today! She was so accommodating of Kimchi’s daily routine, which made me feel at ease right away. I loved receiving the frequent photo and text updates throughout the day—it’s clear Kimchi was having a blast! Kimchi also had a great time playing with Hua’s dogs and came home happy and tired. I highly recommend Hua to anyone looking for a thoughtful and communicative sitter!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
