I'm a dedicated pet owner of one happy dog, so pet care is a natural and joyful part of my daily routine. As I'm recently retired, I'm home all day, dedicating my time to my furry companion and yours. From morning walks to evening cuddles, my dog is my constant companion. This experience has given me a deep understanding of canine needs, from exercise and nutrition to affection and companionship. The only time I'm away is when I'm out walking my own dog or a client's dog, ensuring consistent supervision and care for your pet.

I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment where your dog is treated like a member of the family. As a retiree, I am home throughout the day—only away briefly for walks—to ensure your pet has consistent supervision and companionship. Our Home & Adventures: • Comfort First: My home features a dedicated dog room designed specifically for your pet's relaxation. Dogs are welcome to relax on the furniture and can even sleep in my bedroom (including on the bed!) if that is where they feel most secure. • Secure Play: We have a fenced-in yard for secure potty breaks. • Enriching Outings: We are conveniently located near a beautiful greenbelt and the bay for enriching daily adventures and scenic walks. Safety & Compatibility: • Supervision: I currently have one energetic dog of my own and can accommodate up to three guest dogs at a time. I prefer guests 30lbs or under, though I am open to larger, well-behaved dogs. • Crating Policy: For safety and peace of mind, crate training is highly recommended. However, I only use crating when absolutely necessary (never more than four hours during the day) and at night when I have more than one overnight guest. • Requirements: Visiting pets must be house-trained, socialized, and not excessive barkers. I require current vaccination history, flea/tick prevention details, and emergency contact information prior to booking to ensure a safe environment for all.

A typical day begins with a peaceful morning in my fenced-in yard, followed by a nutritious breakfast and light indoor play. Because I am retired and home all day, your pet enjoys consistent companionship and a balanced routine of exercise, rest, and plenty of "human time." Daily Adventures & Relaxation: • Tailored Outings: Our main walks happen in the late morning or afternoon. Whether it’s an energetic stroll along the bay, a gentle walk through the local greenbelt, or a fun trip to the local dog park, I tailor activity levels to your dog's specific needs and social preferences. • Personalized Care: Every pet receives individual love, from cozy cuddle sessions on the furniture to quiet downtime when they need it. Evening & Sleeping Arrangements: As the day winds down, we transition into a quiet period of lounging together. To ensure a safe and restful night, I evaluate each guest's needs and current group dynamics to decide where they will be most comfortable: • In bed with me: (Limit of one guest dog, as my own dog also sleeps with me). • In a dog bed within my bedroom. • In a crate within the dedicated dog room (recommended for safety/peace of mind).

Pricing Note: All requests are manually modified to reflect these rates before booking.

Leaving our 15-year-old senior dog with heart disease is never easy. We always worry about whether he'll be comfortable, take his medication on time, and settle in while we're away. Dawn made the whole experience so much easier. Throughout our trip, she sent us detailed daily updates and lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that Rooney was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Even though he's a picky eater and a senior dog with special needs, Dawn was patient with him and made sure he got his medication. We truly appreciated the love and attention she gave Rooney. Knowing he was in such caring hands allowed us to relax and enjoy our trip. We wouldn't hesitate to book with Dawn again, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter, especially for senior dogs or pets with medical needs.
Dawn is the best Rover we could ever ask for!! She treated our dog like her own. It’s very obvious how deeply she cares about dogs. Leaving Tofu with Dawn eased our mind so much when we’re busy at work. Not only does she make sure he’s safe, she’s also making sure he’s having so much fun! Now when we take Tofu to Dawn, he’s happily wagging his tail with joy and doesn’t look back! We only have good things to say about Dawn. Thanks again Dawn!!
Dawn took amazing care of our dog! She sent great photos, videos, and recaps every day. Our dog actually developed an ear infection the day after we dropped him off, and she went above and beyond in coordinating with me to get him to the vet to get him taken care of. I wish I could give her 6 stars!
Dawn was amazing at taking care of our cats! We were on a vacation for over a week and Dawn came in everyday to check on the cats, feed them and play with them. She made sure that our cats were not stressed at all. She used to send us a lot of pictures everyday, so we missed our babies a little less. I loved that she was very communicative. She texted everyday with details of how cats were doing. She is very experienced with automatic feeders and litter bots. Having Dawn made our vacation stress free.
