“Megan is a Godsend! I was so happy that she accepted my last minute request to watch our 6 month old high energy Iggy (Italian Greyhound) Tala. Our other Italian Greyhound was hospitalized earlier in the week and Tala couldn’t be alone at home, so I was on the search for last minute day care. Tala *loved* her time with Megan, her daughter and her friendly pup, Banx! I got a lot of pictures of Tala having a great time. Megan was very communicative — readily available to answer any questions if I had any. Megan was also very accommodating as I had some unexpected changes to when my other dog was coming home so I asked if Tala could stay overnight. Megan accepted the request and Tala got to hang out again with her new friends an extra day. Tala & Banx played a lot during the day they slept pretty hard at night! 🐾😁 She’s had so much fun, we’re going to do it again! I highly recommend Megan for pet daycare and/or boarding. About: I grew up with dogs in the family, so caring for them is second nature. Now I have young, responsible daughters who share that love — our whole family lights up around dogs. We travel too often to own one ourselves, so instead we're hoping to build lasting relationships with a few special dogs whose families need occasional help. We're not doing this for the money; we simply love dogs and want more of them in our lives. What sets me apart beyond that: I'm active and love taking dogs on hikes — and trail runs, if they're up for it — so high-energy pups will come home tired and happy. Your dog gets a whole family's attention — a workout buddy, playmates, and steady, caring company. We plan to take one dog every 2-3 months and to shower them with love and attention. If you're interested in our family, chances are best if you coordinate with us well in advance :) I'm semi-retired and work from home on a completely flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my whole day — not just the edges of it. Your dog won't be waiting hours for attention: mornings can start with a long walk/hike or run and midday means play and company rather than an empty house. On the weekends, after school, on holidays, and during summer break, my daughters will shower your pup with love and attention. Safety comes first, whether your dog is with us or in their own home. We live on a large lot in Los Altos with fully fenced front and back yards, so there's plenty of secure space to play and explore. We're minutes from the foothills, with easy access to great hiking trails, and I have the proper equipment to transport your pup safely. In our home, your dog is treated as part of the family: supervised play, a consistent routine for meals, walks, and rest, and someone home all day, so dogs are never alone. On outings, dogs stay leashed unless you've told me otherwise, and I match the pace and distance to your dog's fitness and the weather, while ensuring your dog is hydrated. I'm happy to follow your routine exactly — feeding, medications, sleeping arrangements, house rules, etc. You'll get regular photo and video updates, so you always know your pup is safe and happy.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I moved back to the bay in 2020. I work from home, and my I recently moved in with my sister who also helps take care of the pups (she is a former mini Aussie owner). I can generally take out the pups very 2-4 hours and treat them as my own. I was going to foster but life got in the way (I recently had surgery in my mouth, so you will see my speech has been slightly affected) Hello there - primarily open for house sitting in SF proper for minimum of 1 week for March and April. - if it’s 2+ weeks, we can negotiate on price depending on circumstance. About: Our family consists of my husband and me, along with our 7-year-old Labrador. Over the years, we've raised three rescued dogs and a cat. We have also served as a foster family for guide dogs and as a temporary shelter for rescued Labradors; we truly believe in destiny and love helping animals. Since we work from home, we spend all day with our dog and would love to have other dogs around to keep him company. Since we work from home, you can expect all-day companionship for your dog, whether it's for daycare or boarding. Plus, since we have a dog of our own, your pup is guaranteed to have a blast and be super happy here! We live in a single-story, single-family house with a secure, sturdy fence all around. We like to keep the backdoor open to the backyard, and since we have a dog of our own, our home is absolutely a pet-friendly environment.
