Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Loyola
So appreciate having Stacey nearby to walk our dog—she’s friendly and nice to work with, reliable, and a great communicator. She confirmed arrival time each day as requested, and even adjusting walk times due to a heat wave (which we were grateful for). Lucy looked forward to her outings, and we felt comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Thank you again Stacey!

Ho So did a fantastic job looking after our dog Ddoddo for a week. We are particularly appreciative of his flexibility, working around our unpredictable work schedules. He was always very communicative and consistently posted updates and pictures of his time with Ddoddo. We highly recommend Ho So to anybody and would definitely ask him for help again in the future.

Thu was fantastic with my dog. She was prompt, reliable, friendly and enthusiastic. She even took my dog on extra walks in order to provide him with play dates with other, safe and friendly, dogs. When I returned from my vacation, my dog looked happier and healthier than when I left. Can't say anything better than that. I highly recommend Thu

Shannon has been walking our husky-malamute pup for over a month now and she is fantastic! She's always on time, easy to communicate with, and sends the best updates. She really listens to our pup's needs - like taking extra gentle care wiping his sensitive paw. We are so lucky to have her and cannot recommend her enough!

Caroline is an outstanding dog walker! She instantly built rapport with our dog Goldie and listened to my instructions (to not have her walk too close to other dogs).I felt Goldie was well taken care of during her walks. She also took and sent several photos. A+

Katelyn has walked my dog several times and is really fantastic with my dog, Penny. Penny can be a little slow to warm up and Katelyn takes time to make sure Penny is comfortable on their walks. I get photo updates and a summary of how the walk went each time. She was flexible with me asking to change dates due to my work schedule, always arrived on time and communicated if there would be any changes to the time of the walks. Definitely would recommend her to others!

Madison walked our Shiba Inu, Kona, for five days in a row while my husband was away on a business trip and the kids were home for the holidays. So it was honestly such a big help. Already at the meet and greet, I had a really good feeling. And more importantly, Kona did too. He was super comfortable with Madison from the start. After every walk, he came back happy and totally content, which made me feel so relieved. Madison is kind, reliable, and just very easy to communicate with. By the end of the week, even my kids were excited to say hi to her when she arrived. We’re really grateful we found her and I would absolutely book her again anytime we need help with Kona. Highly recommend ❤️

Nuray was amazing, and I would recommend her to anyone in the area. From the very beginning, she was super friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. She sent tons of updates and photos and always replied quickly, which gave me so much peace of mind while Myka was in her care. I missed my girl a lot, and the continuous updates helped me so much, both in seeing her and knowing she was having a great vacation with Nuray! One thing that really stood out to me was how thoughtful and proactive Nuray is. When I mentioned that Myka is bloat-prone and Nuray wasn’t familiar with it, she immediately took the time to research it, ask questions, and make sure she fully understood how to give Myka the best and safest care possible. That level of effort meant the world to me. Since I mainly speak Swedish with Myka, Nuray even learned some Swedish to communicate better with her, which honestly blew me away. Myka also had an absolute blast! Nuray has access to a dog park where Myka got to run around and play with Millie (another dog who was there). They played fetch with her and sent pictures showing how much fun she was having. It was obvious that Nuray treats the dogs she watches like part of her family. And honestly, the pickup said it all. Myka started introducing me to everyone like she had already decided these people are now our family and they're coming with us home. That’s how comfortable and welcome Nuray made her feel. Myka got sad when she realized we weren’t staying there and even cried a little in the car as we were driving away. Nuray is kind, attentive, and genuinely cares. Your puppy will have an amazing time in her care and will truly be treated like part of the family. We will absolutely be booking with her again if I’m in the area!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
