About: Hi! I’m Ally, an animal lover with professional animal care experience ranging from pet boarding facilities to the Oakland Zoo. My approach is calm, attentive, patient, and individualized to each animal. Animals have always been a central part of my life. I became vegetarian as a child because of my love for animals, and that value continues to guide both my personal and professional life today. Professionally, I previously worked at a pet boarding facility where I handled client communication, maintained veterinary and care records, administered medications, monitored feeding and intake, and provided daily hands-on animal care. About: I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while i’m home for the summer. I’m vegan, I live alone, and I genuinely love animals and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule so I'm more than happy to keep your pets company, stick to their regular routines, daily walks, and make sure everything is taken care of. I'll always send plenty of photo updates too so you know they're doing great. I've taken care of dogs and cats for neighboring families and friends for many years, so I'm super comfortable handling pets with various different personalities and needs. I’m home for the summer and my schedule is incredibly open and flexible right now. Since I don't work a job, I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to hang out with your pets, stick to their routines, and make sure they're taken care of as if they are my own. Safety is the main thing for me. I always double-check locks and gates, follow whatever feeding or walking instructions you leave, and keep a close eye on them. I've watched dogs and cats for family and friends for the past two years, so I know what kind of things can go wrong and how to keep everyone happy and safe.

Bunnies and turtles required different forms of care, from maintaining specific diets to creating environments that matched their natural habitats. Now, as an adult, I deeply appreciate how much these experiences shaped my understanding of what it means to care for animals. If we sound like the right fit for your pup, then please reach out! **For the Dog Walking service listed at $120/walk** — that's not for the standard 30-minute Rover walk, but rather up to 120 minutes/10 miles of hiking/trail running. I'd pick up and put your pup in the back of my SUV, drive to a preserve nearby (Foothill Park in Palo Alto, for example), and then drop your pup off. Given I'm semi-retired and work from home on a flexible schedule, pet care can always fit naturally into my whole day — not just the edges of it. Your dog won't be waiting for attention: mornings can start with a long walk/hike or run and midday means play and company rather than an empty house. On the weekends, after school, on holidays, and during summer break, my daughters will shower your pup with love and attention. Safety comes first. We live on a large lot in Los Altos with fully fenced front and back yards, so there's plenty of secure space to play and explore. We're minutes from the foothills, with easy access to great hiking trails, and I have the proper equipment to transport your pup safely. In our home, your dog is treated as part of the family: supervised play, a consistent routine for meals, walks, and rest, and someone home all day, so dogs are never alone. On outings, dogs stay leashed unless you've told me otherwise, and I match the pace and distance to your dog's fitness and the weather, while ensuring your dog is hydrated. I'm happy to follow your routine exactly — feeding, medications, sleeping arrangements, house rules, etc. You'll get regular photo and video updates, so you always know your pup is safe and happy.

There are some dogs that do not feel good in loud and busy areas. So I make sure to go on walk them in quieter places.
