Pete was Awesome!!! Fist off, my dogs are rescues. They have idiosyncrasies (lol). Taffy puts up defences when meeting new people. So much so, that two prior interviewees turned down the offer. Peter, who is a gentle giant, won her over during the interview. Not with his giantness, but his amazing gentleness. Usually it takes some time for Taffy to trust someone, but she found something in Peter to trust right away! The rest of the week went incredibly smoothly. I got texts every evening (he offered photos but i declined). Both Tanka and Taffy assumed "Belly Rub" positions once Peter arrived. I heard such great reports that when I got home, I had to tearfully sit down with them and ask if they would rather go and live with Peter. Just kidding, I couldn't ask that question for fear of the answer!! When I came home, my doges were normal. Not filled with fear, anxiety, depression or anything that separation might cause. That means Peter did not just feed, water, and let them outside. He gave them loving care in my absence. He treated them as I would treat them. That is the sign of an excellent caretaker!! He will always take care of my dogs, dean

Peter is a longtime friend of mine and I have witnessed his kindness and patience with animals many times over the years. He has both warmth and heart, which appear to help dogs, in particular, feel comfortable in his presence. Peter is also an individual of integrity and loyalty. I would, without reservation, hire him to care for my pets.

If I'm to care for your pal I'll need to know a bit about what they're used to, afraid of, love/like etc. And if course any special needs, meds, behavior issues or challenges etc.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
