“Cordigen has been wonderful at providing weekly visits for our puppy, Sammy, and our 8 year old dog, June. I can tell from the photos she sends that they have a great time with her on their 3x/week visits and really appreciate all the care she shows for them. Highly recommend!”

“Emma provided excellent daily dog walking services for a week over the holidays for our two dogs. Emma was friendly and communicated well in a timely manner. She was responsible and always on time. I especially liked the daily pictures of our smilin’ dogs! I highly recommend Emma for the care of your pets.”

“Esmeralda is wonderful with our golden retriever! She is calm, attentive, and engaging, gets in sync with his personality, and lets him enjoy being outside for an adventure, read the daily doggie news or just hang out listening to music. She is a professional when it comes to her canine care so we are confident when we leave our pup with her. Thank you Esmi!! 😁”

“Jhonatan was great when he came over to walk my two small dogs in the afternoons while I was at work. He was very timely, and sent pictures of them on their walk afterwards.”

“Aylia was extremely communicative, catered to our shy dogs needs, and responsible. I could tell she is used to working with skittish dogs and is willing to give them the space they need to feel safe. She did have an unforeseen emergency arise during our scheduled walks but she notified me quickly and Rover actually gave a credit for the trouble of finding a second sitter last minute. I would definitely rebook her if we need another walker!”

About: Hi! I’m not just a pet sitter, I’m your pet’s second best friend (after you, of course)! I have hands on experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies, and even fish. I understand that leaving your pet with someone is a big deal. My goal is to make you feel completely confident and your pet feels completely comfortable. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! I am working another part-time job, so my availability is very open, and I have many hours of the day needed for clients and their pets. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, monitor behavior and health, and ensure doors, gates, and enclosures are always safely secured.
About: Reliable pet sitter/ dog walker! Aside from growing up with a few family dogs and having three furry friends of my own, I used to work at a doggy hotel and got to take care of hundred of pets. I got to gain lots of experience with pets of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I am also trained in administering pet medication if needed. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I will treat your furry family as my own :) I am available for daily evening and morning walks as well as weekend stays! If you have any specific requests, I am more than willing to accommodate! I follow instructions very well and understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry friends. I am very responsive and give plenty of updates for your peace of mind:)
“Gary was great! He helped me out with a last minute dog walk request. Gary has now walked my puppy several times now and she is exhausted when I get home. I have appreciated his flexibility and willingness to help out in a moment’s notice! Skye seems to love him and feels very comfortable around him!”

About: I've been a sitter on this platform for several years. Serving the California Bay Area, and internationally (Thailand and Japan so far!) I've had mostly small to medium dogs and cats for years as family pets, also have experience with chickens and rodents (my kids had pet rats for years). I do not currently have pets, as am doing the van life thing and don't feel it would be right to have my own pet at this time, however I truly miss having pets, prompting me to sign up for pet sitting! I'm currently retired-van living full time in the East Bay CA area, so right now just available for house/pet sitting & dog walking at your home. Responsible, mature care giver for your pet in your home, following all rules and instructions left by the pet owner. Please let me know of your pets special needs before booking.

About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned and cared for three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs of all sizes and breeds — from small terriers to larger dogs like pit bulls — and feel confident handling a wide range of temperaments. I’m happy to provide: • Walks tailored to your dog’s energy level • Feeding and routine care • Medication (depending on type) • Baths and brushing • Calm, attentive care for anxious or special needs pets • Plenty of love and companionship Beyond dogs, I have 20+ years of experience with cats. I’ve volunteered with Homeless Cat Network and fostered for Coastside Feral Care. Fun fact: Every animal I’ve cared for or owned has been a rescue — I have a special place in my heart for them and understand the extra patience and care they sometimes need. ________________________________________ 🐾 Why pet parents choose me • Experience with multiple breeds and temperaments • Comfortable with reactive and special needs dogs • Firsthand experience with seizure care • Cat care expert with volunteer/foster background • Calm, patient, and highly attentive
About: As a proud dog mom to a playful 7-year-old Husky and a sweet 10-year-old Chihuahua, I understand that every dog has unique needs at every stage of life. I’m also the trusted go-to sitter for my family and friends—whether it's caring for energetic puppies or giving extra love and attention to senior dogs. You can count on me to treat your pet like my own, with patience, compassion, and lots of tail wags. I’m currently “micro-retired,” which means I have plenty of free time and flexibility to dedicate to your furry family members. Whether your pet needs constant supervision, scheduled feedings, playtime, or quiet companionship, I can fully accommodate their needs. Your pet’s care is my priority, and I’ve got the time and heart to match. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll ask for all the important details—Are they indoor or outdoor? When do they eat? How much exercise do they need? Any allergies or special instructions?—because consistency is key to keeping your pup happy, healthy, and comfortable. Their safety and well-being always come first.
About: I've looked after dogs my entire life. My home in Mountain View has a wonderful backyard and two border collies to keep your dog company. Down the street we have one of the best dog meetup groups in the South Bay and a fantastic local park. We are genuine dog enthusiasts and love providing a loving home that makes it easy for your to travel and keeps your dog out of the kennels (where we've never had a good experience). I'm available for dog sitting at my house. I can also do dog walks and drop in visits on occasion as needed. When your dog stays with me, they get two walks a day (if appropriate for their age/ability), and great socialization with a wider group of dogs (again, only if appropriate for their temperment/comfort level). I also adjust as needed and we can just do gentle walks around the neighborhood, or I can drive them to some free-run places where they can stretch their legs but be a little more on their own -- lots of flexibility depending on your dog's needs and I highly encourage you to just let me know what you need so I can customize your dog's stay with me. I have a great fenced in backyard so your dog can have lots of outside time while at my house. I also take your dog out on as many walks as you tell me are appropriate for them. If they need meds or special care, you just need to let me know.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your La Honda. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in La Honda.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in La Honda. On Rover:
- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
