Esmeralda is wonderful with our golden retriever! She is calm, attentive, and engaging, gets in sync with his personality, and lets him enjoy being outside for an adventure, read the daily doggie news or just hang out listening to music. She is a professional when it comes to her canine care so we are confident when we leave our pup with her. Thank you Esmi!! 😁

Venora is highly professional, responsible, and always on time. Comes across as a caring, empathetic person. She bonded with my dogs very quickly. It usually takes time for my younger dog, Cooper to feel comfortable with a new person, but he quickly came around to her friendly, smiling manner. She is definitely someone we would use as the need arises. I can unequivocally recommend her as an excellent dog walker.

About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned and cared for three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs of all sizes and breeds — from small terriers to larger dogs like pit bulls — and feel confident handling a wide range of temperaments. I’m happy to provide: • Walks tailored to your dog’s energy level • Feeding and routine care • Medication (depending on type) • Baths and brushing • Calm, attentive care for anxious or special needs pets • Plenty of love and companionship Beyond dogs, I have 20+ years of experience with cats. I’ve volunteered with Homeless Cat Network and fostered for Coastside Feral Care. Fun fact: Every animal I’ve cared for or owned has been a rescue — I have a special place in my heart for them and understand the extra patience and care they sometimes need. ________________________________________ 🐾 Why pet parents choose me • Experience with multiple breeds and temperaments • Comfortable with reactive and special needs dogs • Firsthand experience with seizure care • Cat care expert with volunteer/foster background • Calm, patient, and highly attentive

I have been pet sitting for my neighbors, friends, etc. for over 5 years and have a dog of my own so I have seen it all!

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have taken care of many friend's and neighbor's dogs. I just finished playing Division 1 soccer and have tons of energy! Would love to run/walk/train some dogs with lots of energy. I also enjoy showing the older, more chill doggos some love. I am currently looking for jobs so I have a pretty open schedule. I recently graduated and from UC Davis and would love some time with furry friends. I take my dogs on 2 walks per day and let them out a few times in between to potty. About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and grew up around dogs of all sizes, including our own family Pit Bulls. Caring for animals has always been a part of my life, from helping care for our family dogs to pet sitting for friends, relatives, and families through UrbanSitter. I’ve also provided house sitting and cared for both dogs and cats, giving me experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and routines. My husband and I became dog owners in 2021 when we adopted Beau, our rescued 8-year-old Chocolate Lab/Weimaraner mix. I’ve trained him myself, which has given me valuable experience with large breeds, daily exercise, basic obedience, and understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds and take the time to get to know each dog’s individual personality, routine, and preferences. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, puzzle toys, or simply relaxing at home, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I offer boarding in my home, where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Beau has a calm, gentle personality and enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. He thrives on his routine, and because of that, I understand how important consistency is for pets. I always prioritize safe introductions and make sure every pet feels comfortable, secure, and loved while they’re in my care. As a middle school administrator, I’m dependable, organized, patient, and attentive to detail. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for a beloved family member, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay. Since school is currently on summer break, I have flexible availability for boarding, house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. During the school year, I’m available for morning drop-in visits before work, afternoons after 4:30 p.m., evenings, and weekends. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available for boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the day. Once the school year begins, I typically start work at 7:45 a.m. which means I’m also available for morning drop-in visits before work if needed. After work, I’m generally available beginning around 4:30 p.m., as well as evenings and weekends. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. My husband and I live in a spacious 1,200-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment with our calm, friendly 8-year-old Lab/Weimaraner mix. We have plenty of room for dogs to relax indoors, along with easy access to a large grassy area right outside our home for bathroom breaks. We also live next to a walking trail, nearby schools with open fields, and two local dog parks for dogs who enjoy extra exercise and socialization. Every pet is different, so I’ll always follow your preferences and routine, whether that means leisurely neighborhood walks, playtime, or simply sticking to familiar habits. I carefully introduce dogs when appropriate, supervise interactions, and provide regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I started by taking care of my moms 4 dogs when she would go on vacations and needed a dog sitter. That really taught me how to feed them efficiently and when to take them outside to go potty. From there I learned how to hang out with them and play with them efficiently. I am a college student with classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday I am available for the entire day and night. On Wednesday and Friday I'm available at night, Monday I'm not because I have a night class. Staying over night is not a problem, along with check ins during the days even on school days. I love dogs and am really good at feeding them, taking them outside, and playing with them. I'm not a trainer, but someone who is good at taking care of them while you are away. My mom has 4 small dogs so I'm very familiar with smaller dogs, but I have also watched bigger dogs as well.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Lobitos. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Lobitos.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lobitos. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
