“Diane was great for when I needed a quick dog walker for when I went on vacation. I know my dog was happy, taken care of and getting good exercise. Great communication and loved receiving pictures of the daily walks! Highly recommend Diane!”

“Kristine is awesome! She asked many questions to get to know our fur babies during the m&g. Our pups love their walks with Kristine! She’s very attentive and sent us detailed updates on each walk. We will continue to have Kristine care for our dogs in the future.”

About: Since the young age of 5, I have wanted to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. It has been a path I have wanted to pursue for all of my academic career. Currently, I am a full-time student at UC Davis and I am an Animal Science major. Throughout my education, I participated in a year-long course for veterinary assistants, completed various internships regarding animals, have taken several animal science related classes, volunteered at a vet clinic, and I watch educational videos regarding animals and domestic pets every day. I have been a cat owner most of my life, so I did not have a lot of experience with dogs prior to working at animal clinics and working as a pet sitter through Rover. After garnering experience with dogs, I have loved them even more and I am willing to expand my knowledge of dogs further! I am very attentive with taking care of animals and I learn incredibly fast. When I volunteered at a veterinary clinic and since working at Rover, I have walked numerous dogs, fed them, washed them, and learned how to play with them. I have also walked a friend’s dog many times in my free time. When it comes to dogs, I am aware of how they need a lot of attention and I can provide that! If the dog has separation anxiety, I spend extra time taking care of them, playing with them and cuddling with them. I try my hardest to play with the dog as much as they want and even walk extra if the dog wants it. I make sure that their food and water bowls are filled, groom them if the owner requests it, to be attentive with their behavior and watch them at all times, make sure they don’t get into anything during their walks, and clean up after them on walks. If the dog has a disability, I will try my best to accommodate them and help them as much as I can so they are comfortable. I love certain dog breeds incredibly! I enjoy bigger dogs like huskies, golden retrievers, and labradors! I think they are so cute and their size makes them more adorable. I adore personality-driven dogs as well like shiba inu’s and corgi’s! All dogs are great, but I have a soft spot for bigger dogs and ones who have big personalities! I am a full-time student throughout the year, but I visit home weekly and I am able to take a majority of requests! During the summer and around holidays, I am available all full time🙂 I only am able to care for pets in their own homes because of my own pets. Moreover, in clients homes I will make sure to lock doors and enter carefully without letting pets escape. I also make sure no food is around animals that can harm them or chemicals. I will clean up after each visit and after I walk a dog. Furthermore, I’ll keep the food and water bowls filled, litter box cleaned, and take care of pets as needed. Lastly, I am always careful when first meeting a pet and build up their trust.
“I can't recommend Jasmine highly enough as a dog walker. She is incredibly sweet and fantastic with my puppy. Every week my dog and I eagerly look forward to her visits. Jasmine’s experience with the Humane Society Silicon Valley is evident in her exceptional care and handling of dogs. Her expertise and love for animals make her a standout. If you're looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker you can’t go wrong with Jasmine.”

About: I grew up in a pet-loving household, surrounded by animals from a young age. Now, I live in a spacious first-floor condo with direct garage access, just about five minutes from Seven Seas Park in Sunnyvale. My lifelong bond with animals makes caring for them truly second nature. On weekdays, I usually go to the office, so my availability is limited. However, my work finishes on Friday afternoon, giving me free time from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening. I enjoy taking dogs for walks outdoors, and I’m very active, so I can play and engage with dogs energetically. Since I spend most of the weekends at home, this schedule works well for providing attentive care and quality time for pets. I currently don’t have children or pets, so we’re able to provide a calm, clean, and focused environment for pet care. I live in a first-floor condo with a garage and direct access to a backyard, which makes it very convenient for taking pets outside safely and quickly. My home is about 1,100 square feet and is kept very clean and organized.
About: I have a dog and have used Rover for sitting and overnight stays so I know first hand how nerve-wracking it can be. There should be no worries, I love all animals and am very diligent in my care. My own dog has anxiety so I know how to recognize the signs, can administer medicine and love to shower pets with love (should they want to receive it haha) Please let me know if you have any questions! I am currently job searching so I can comfortably adjust to most schedules. I am a morning person so early walks are preferred, but of course can be flexible. A list of behavior I can deal with: - Anxiety - Medicine - Extreme excitement I am understand that animals are animals. I will always communicate if I feel something is out of my control, but I am always willing to give benefit of doubt.

“Molly has done great taking our 2 high energy golden retriever pups on walks! She’s also super communicative, friendly, and professional. She asked all the right questions, and I can tell she truly has a passion for taking care of animals! She goes the extra mile to make sure they are exercised and get all their potties out! We will definitely be using her for all of our doggie care needs :)”

“Conner is amazing. He always takes great care of my doggie. He is very accommodating and flexible even with last minute requests. He provides detailed updates and is extremely professional. I highly recommend Conner!”

About: With over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience, I have developed a strong passion for providing safe, loving, and reliable care for animals of all sizes and personalities. My experience includes daily dog walking, pet sitting, feeding routines, administering basic medications, and caring for pets with different energy levels and needs. I understand that every pet is unique, so I prioritize maintaining their normal routines to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Whether it’s an energetic walk, playtime, or quiet companionship, I focus on creating a positive and stress-free experience for both pets and owners. I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and communicative, providing regular updates and photos so pet parents feel confident their pets are in caring hands. My goal is always to treat every pet like family and ensure they feel loved, safe, and well cared for at all times. I work from home, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and dedicate consistent time and attention to the pets in my care. Because I am home throughout the day, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship rather than pets being left alone for long periods. My flexible routine allows me to accommodate daytime visits, walks, drop-ins, and extended stays while ensuring pets receive supervision, care, and interaction throughout the day. I prioritize maintaining each pet’s normal schedule to help them feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed while their owners are away. I focus on providing pets with a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment by maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my priority is making them feel secure, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. In my home, pets receive consistent supervision since I work from home, allowing for regular potty breaks, walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I create a calm and clean space where pets can relax, play, and feel at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the household environment. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medication (if needed), litter box or yard maintenance, and enrichment activities. I also provide companionship to reduce stress and separation anxiety while keeping the home tidy and secure. Communication is very important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos to give pet parents peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and in trusted hands.
“Ringo, our big and strong dog seemed happy and worn out after the walk. CJ did a good job figuring out how to put on and take off Ringo’s prong collar. It’s a little tricky because it has to link up to his cloth collar as well.”

“Xi was very responsive when it came to any communications, which was well appreciated! She took our instructions well with walking our dog, and she also sent many photos for updates. We would reach back out to Xi in the future for any requests!”

About: I have personally cared for 5 dogs mixed breed pitbull, ACD, lab, and mut. I enjoy when dogs are engaged with agility and learning exercises. My dogs are happy when they have a job ie. running partner, and when learning new skills and working on agility and commands. I like to go for trail runs with my dogs. If this sounds like your dog then I'm your dogs second in command. I have read Cesar Milans book and proscribe to his basic tenants for success. I work full-time I am available weekends and evenings after 4pm. My schedule is usually open on weekends if I'm not already booked. The best way to reach my is by phone. I take the dogs trail running and camping with me on weekends or for walks. Usually at least one run on a local trail or around the neighborhood depending on physical fitness of your pet.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sunnyvale
Another fantastic experience for Ollie! The attention to detail and level of care was incredible. Walking with Olive has been the best experience we’ve had for Ollie. The regular updates are so helpful and give us complete peace of mind, allowing us to relax knowing he’s in great hands. We couldn’t recommend Ning & Ting more highly!

So appreciate having Stacey nearby to walk our dog—she’s friendly and nice to work with, reliable, and a great communicator. She confirmed arrival time each day as requested, and even adjusting walk times due to a heat wave (which we were grateful for). Lucy looked forward to her outings, and we felt comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Thank you again Stacey!

I cannot recommend Susan highly enough! I needed a last-minute dog walker on the exact same day due to an unexpected injury, and she stepped up without hesitation. My dog is incredibly anxious, especially around other dogs so I am always nervous leaving him with someone new. She meticulously followed every single instruction I left and gave him the exact specialized care and patience he needed. She even spent extra time on their walks just to snuggle and comfort him. The updates she sent were phenomenal. She went completely above and beyond by sending photos, videos, and even detailed tracking (including potty updates!), which gave me total peace of mind while I was laid up. After every walk, my dog came back perfectly tired out and would nap peacefully for hours. Now that I’ve recovered and am back to walking him myself, my pooch clearly misses her! If you are looking for a walker who is reliable, incredibly attentive, and genuinely loves animals, look no further. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Ho So did a fantastic job looking after our dog Ddoddo for a week. We are particularly appreciative of his flexibility, working around our unpredictable work schedules. He was always very communicative and consistently posted updates and pictures of his time with Ddoddo. We highly recommend Ho So to anybody and would definitely ask him for help again in the future.

Thu was fantastic with my dog. She was prompt, reliable, friendly and enthusiastic. She even took my dog on extra walks in order to provide him with play dates with other, safe and friendly, dogs. When I returned from my vacation, my dog looked happier and healthier than when I left. Can't say anything better than that. I highly recommend Thu

Caroline is an outstanding dog walker! She instantly built rapport with our dog Goldie and listened to my instructions (to not have her walk too close to other dogs).I felt Goldie was well taken care of during her walks. She also took and sent several photos. A+

Tianyu was great at taking care of our high energy lab. She provided lots of pictures and videos and communicated well ensuring we don’t worry about our dog on our trip. All of Simba’s items were also very neatly kept on the counter when we got back. Overall great experience and we highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
