About: I have taken care of my own pets since I was 10. I have also shown dogs the basic commands of sit, wait, jump paired with hand gestures. I have 3 dogs of my own that I care for as well as a cat. I have fostered kittens and found them good homes as well as cared for an stray, injured kitten. I am a university alumni, currently unemployed but do volunteer work. I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies. I am available to do drop ins to play with your pet and taken them out on potty breaks as well as take them on walks. I am available to care for your pets any day. I can care for your pets by doing drop ins to engage in play time/have potty breaks and taking them out for their walks to release energy and promote a healthy lifestyle. I have a crate in my home and pet supplies (dog wipes, food, etc) to use if necessary.
“I can always trust Anna to take good care of our golden when we need someone to feed him or take him for a walk. She always goes above and beyond and spend extra time with Cooper.”

“I can't recommend Jasmine highly enough as a dog walker. She is incredibly sweet and fantastic with my puppy. Every week my dog and I eagerly look forward to her visits. Jasmine’s experience with the Humane Society Silicon Valley is evident in her exceptional care and handling of dogs. Her expertise and love for animals make her a standout. If you're looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker you can’t go wrong with Jasmine.”

“Eric is always wonderful and Scout so enjoys her walks with him. He’s also so good about making time for us even when his schedule is tight. We are so thankful to him for his help 🙂”
About: I have always had a dog in my life. Giant breeds mostly, but all kinds tug at my heart. I wasn’t blessed with children so I pour out all that maternal love on my animals. I cook a lot for our Cane Corso-veggies, ground turkey, even scrambled eggs, and he loves it. I have been called a “dog whisperer” by some who witness my interactions with furry friends. I retired early so I have been home with our Cane Corso since he was 9 mos old. I believe the attention and love we have showered on our pup has allowed him to be both loving and obedient. He has never shown aggression to other dogs and he is liked by many other pet owners we have met over the last 5 years. I am physically fit and able to care for any size dog, and feel confident in caring for our vulnerable family members. Since I am home, I would be able to visit your pup or walk him/her while you’re at work. Dogs definitely get lonely so having company can be a game-changer in their behavior and life span. I am used to talking to pets, as I believe our tone of voice gives them security and builds trust. I would not only talk to your pet(s) in a loving way, but also pet them and play with them, as well as walk them. For our dog, I am adamant about fresh water in his bowl several times a day, and gets fed at regular times (he gets 4 small meals/day!) He has been in our front yard since he was 4 mos old so he gets to lounge on the grass without disturbing the neighbors. It has been a great way to acclimate him to people, big and small. If that is something you would like to try (with supervision) I am all for it.
“Travis has started walking our 2.5 year old husky mix Apollo twice a week and we will be using Travis for future care as well when we are out of town. Apollo loves him and we get pictures of their walks. Travis is always respectful of my home and really prioritizes my fur baby. He is always on time if not early and excellent at communicating if he has questions or needs anything. I fully trust him with our baby and am so thankful he is here to help us out!”

About: I’ve always been an admirer of animals and the value they bring to life. Most of my life I have been a dog owner. I have experience with walking and boarding dogs with some light training. They truly are man’s best friend. I’m working part time currently and available to care for your pet and open for boarding most days. I am a friend of the animal kingdom. I have a fenced in outdoor area with a park close by for walks and socializing. I will do my best to care for your pet while you are away.
“Ho So did a fantastic job looking after our dog Ddoddo for a week. We are particularly appreciative of his flexibility, working around our unpredictable work schedules. He was always very communicative and consistently posted updates and pictures of his time with Ddoddo. We highly recommend Ho So to anybody and would definitely ask him for help again in the future.”

About: I believe dogs deserve all the love and care possible. They rely on us to take care of them, and I take that responsibility to heart. I want all our dogs to be happy and healthy and loved. I have plenty of time to walk and care for your dogs! I'm available 7 days a week, from 9am-6pm, and can be flexible as needed. I can care for your dog in your home or yard, drive them to and from doggy day care, and go for long or short walks.
About: I have been caring for dogs since I was about 8, and being around them has always been a big part of my life. I grew up with a beagle, and now I share my home with a chihuahua mix and a labrador mix, so I’m familiar with the needs of both small and large breeds. Over the years I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with feeding, routines, and keeping their dog's company. Spending time with so many different dogs has helped me understand their personalities and make sure each one feels safe, comfortable, and supported. I’m currently taking online classes, and since those are fully remote, I have flexible availability throughout the day. I can easily fit in walks, drop‑in visits, or house sitting depending on what your pet needs. My schedule allows me to be reliable, responsive, and present for your pet’s routine. I prioritize safety and comfort during every walk, drop‑in, and house‑sitting stay. I follow each pet’s routine closely, use secure leash habits, and keep a calm, tidy environment in your home. I also care for two dogs of my own, keeping them on a consistent routine with daily walks and scheduled feeding, so I understand how important structure is for keeping pets happy and comfortable.

About: New to Rover but not to loving pets! I bring endless patience, genuine affection, and a commitment to making every animal feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. My flexible schedule means I'm home more often than not, so pets in my care are never left alone for long. I tailor each day to what the animal needs most — no rigid routines, just attentive, responsive care. My apartment is a peaceful, pet-free space — clean, calm, and perfectly set up for your furry guest. The on-site pet park is a bonus your pup will absolutely love, offering a safe outdoor space to run, sniff, and play without ever having to go far. When visiting your home, I bring that same level of attentive, respectful care
About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals - they’ve been a central part of my life since I was a child growing up with them. Currently, I’m the proud caregiver of two dogs, so I know exactly what it takes to keep your pups happy, healthy, and safe. Above all, I am naturally loving, caring, and kind. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry best friend, which is why I promise to treat your dog just like a member of my own family! Specific skills include: - Senior dog care: I understand the patience, gentle touch, and routine required to keep older dogs comfortable and content. - Small to midsize breeds: I know how to handle the unique personalities and safety needs of smaller and medium-sized dogs. I’m available for early morning check-ins/walks before work, and flexible on weekends for full-time attention, longer adventures, and plenty of quality time. I am a naturally active person and already go on regular walks, so fitting your dog into my daily exercise routine is seamless. Whether it’s a brisk morning stroll or an energetic weekend walk, your pup will get plenty of fresh air and exercise! I am incredibly careful and respectful of your space. I operate under the rule of "always leaving things better than I found them." Whether that means wiping muddy paws before they cross your rug or making sure your entry is perfectly secure when we return, your home is in safe hands. On walks, safety is my top priority. I keep a watchful eye on our surroundings, maintain a firm grip on the leash, and ensure your dog stays hydrated and comfortable the entire time.

Alissa is truly the best. We have an 8-year-old goldendoodle, Baloo, who is a bit timid with other people, but she quickly warmed up to Alissa. Spending long hours at work, I would often stress about how long Baloo was at home alone. Now, with Alissa’s help, I have zero stress and know Baloo is being well taken care of. More so, I look forward to the daily lunch time pictures and updates. I am so glad I chose Alissa and hope you do too.

Ho So did a fantastic job looking after our dog Ddoddo for a week. We are particularly appreciative of his flexibility, working around our unpredictable work schedules. He was always very communicative and consistently posted updates and pictures of his time with Ddoddo. We highly recommend Ho So to anybody and would definitely ask him for help again in the future.

Thu was fantastic with my dog. She was prompt, reliable, friendly and enthusiastic. She even took my dog on extra walks in order to provide him with play dates with other, safe and friendly, dogs. When I returned from my vacation, my dog looked happier and healthier than when I left. Can't say anything better than that. I highly recommend Thu

Caroline is an outstanding dog walker! She instantly built rapport with our dog Goldie and listened to my instructions (to not have her walk too close to other dogs).I felt Goldie was well taken care of during her walks. She also took and sent several photos. A+

Tianyu was great at taking care of our high energy lab. She provided lots of pictures and videos and communicated well ensuring we don’t worry about our dog on our trip. All of Simba’s items were also very neatly kept on the counter when we got back. Overall great experience and we highly recommend!

Ning and Ting are fantastic! They provide excellent updates on how Ollie was doing on the walks and have even helped teach him better leash manners & behaviors. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in such caring, capable hands. They clearly have a passion for dogs, and Ollie loved his time with them and Olive!

Anna was amazing with Simba! She constantly sent updates, videos and pictures of the walks. She is very responsive and was always making sure Simba’s mind is engaged through some activity. During Simba's walks she was training him not to lunge at people and ignore dogs. To top it all off she left us a sweet note as to how she enjoyed her time with him! Highly recommend her if you have energetic dogs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
