About: I have been around animals my whole life. I grew up on a small farm, taking care of various animal. Now, as a Ph.D. student at Stanford, I am away from my family animals (which makes me sad). Rover gives me the opportunity to still meet and connect with people and their pets, so I can treat them like my own. I am very flexible with my time due to my student status. In my free time I rock climb and run, and would be more than happy to burn off some of your dogs extra energy with a jog! I have cared for dogs (mine and others) on backpacking trips, hikes, and road trips. I have administered eye drops and medication. I understand how much a pet means, and how different each dog may have very different habits, needs, and quirks. I am flexible and I am able to adapt to your and your dog’s needs! Currently a graduate student and therefore have an extremely flexible schedule. I am particularly free midday most week days! I don’t travel much and when I do I know ahead of time. I always try and stay on top of a pets needs. Whether that being attentive to if they need to go to the bathroom earlier than they normally do, what falls onto the floor, whether something seems to be bothering them, and whether or not they have plenty of water! I generally take extra caution and would rather be more cautious and spend the extra 5 minutes caring for them! I love also love to play with dogs. Sometimes I think I have more fun then they do!

I had a cat for 12 years, and throughout his life I cared for him like family — feeding him, playing with him, bathing him, trimming his claws, and making sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. My dad also had a dog, whom I often walked and played with. Jenny was wonderful with Shady! She was very attentive and spent plenty of time sitting with her, giving her pets and scratches, and keeping her company. She sent lots of photos and detailed updates each visit, and took great care of her food, water, and litter. She even brought in an Amazon package for us. Youngzheng did such a good job with our cat Iris. She is a shy cat and usually doesn’t come out for strangers but she was comfortable enough in such a short time to allow Youngzheng to come near and pet her. Instructions were followed to a T and she was very nice. Thanks again!
Highly recommend Sara! We are so grateful for her helping us on short notice and coming for a meet & greet beforehand. She was communicative and sent us detailed updates with photos. When our cat ending up being a little more shy than expected, Sara showed she truly cared for our cat and was knowledgeable on cat care.
