“My foster dog Baby had a wonderful stay with Tanya and her daughter. Their home is basically doggy heaven, and Baby enjoyed the huge lawn and tons of love and care accordingly. Baby looks forward to her next visit!”

“Yunxi is great and took great care of my dog. Her house is in a very safe neighborhood with a park to walk my dog everyday. She ensured she took my dog out multiple times a day for walking and potty, and made sure he was well fed!”

“Ethan is wonderful at taking care of our dog. He has a large backyard that her and his dog, Astro, play in. Also, Ethan is really good with communication and updates.”

“Shavonne was a great sitter. Responsive and flexible. My dog came home so happy and chill like she'd just spent time hanging out with her best friend and was ready for a nap!”

“Eunice and Sean were great dog sitters for Astor! They played with Astor, cuddled with her and made sure all her daily needs were met. They also made sure to give us frequent updates on how Astor was doing throughout the whole stay. Furthermore, we had to push our pick up time really late because our return flight got significantly delayed, and they were happy to accommodate.”

“Joyce was fantastic! Prior to agreeing to board Macy, she had reviewed all the information I provided, asked essential questions and sent daily videos and pictures.Despite my plane delays on my return, Joyce and her husband were easy going. Macy appeared to have a great time. I would definitely call on Joyce in the future.”

“As was my experience previously, I could not be more pleased with Jennifer's care. It is clear that my pup is well cared for, and loved as if she was at home. Best doggy boarding experience we've had across our 20 years of dog ownership. SDS”

“Karen and Willie are amazing pet sitters! From the moment our dog Teddy walked into their home and throughout the entire sitting period, his experience with them was beyond exceptional! Also, Teddy and their dog Cookie both immediately became best friends and she was a great support for our first time pup! Highly recommended 😊”

About: I've had dogs for nearly 20 years and know every dog has their own personality and routine. I work from home, so your dog will have company throughout the day, daily walks, and plenty of attention. I only board one household at a time because I want every dog to feel comfortable and at home, not a house full of unfamiliar dogs. My dog, Henry, is friendly with dogs of all sizes and enjoys having company, but he's also pretty laid back. I've cared for senior dogs, including one with megaesophagus and myasthenia gravis, so I'm comfortable giving oral and liquid medications and following special feeding schedules. Before every first stay, I'd love to do a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good fit for everyone. During your dog's stay, I'll send plenty of photo and video updates so you know they're doing well. I work from home full time, so your dog will have company throughout the day and won't be left alone for long periods. We usually start the day with a morning walk, followed by another walk in the afternoon and a shorter walk before bed, plus potty breaks as needed. Henry and I visit nearby parks every day, and if your dog enjoys dog parks too, I'm happy to include those with your permission. If not, we'll stick to neighborhood walks and on-leash park visits. On hot days, I'll adjust our schedule and walk during the cooler parts of the day. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Since I only board one household at a time, I can give each dog plenty of attention and keep a close eye on how they're settling in. Dogs are never left outside unattended, and all walks and park visits are on leash unless we're in a designated enclosed area and you approve. My dog, Henry, is friendly with dogs of all sizes and enjoys having company, but he's also happy to relax and do his own thing. I also have a cat who mostly keeps to herself and usually prefers to stay out of the action. I'm happy to follow your dog's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, furniture rules, and any other instructions that help them feel at home. If your dog is crate trained, I'm happy to use your crate if you bring one.
“Michael is a fantastic dogsitter! He takes the dogs on looooong walks and sends lots of photos. My only complaint is that I think my dog liked him better than us and sulked the day we brought her home!! But that's not his fault!”

“Audrina and Donny were amazing! They provided regular updates, were very responsive and too great care of my dog. They were able to keep my very active dog really engaged with regular walks, potty breaks, playing fetch and training him (last two were them going above and beyond). They were very knowledgeable about pet care and had asked me to fill out a questionnaire about my dog and his activities before the stay so that they can keep it as a reference during his stay. Audrina also has a very helpful drop off checklist covering all the stuff my dog would need for his stay. Would be looking for Audrina’s help for a future stay as well!”

“Yasemin was a wonderful sitter! She and her family showered my pup with love and attention from the minute they met and during his entire stay. Very mindful of his care and she sent lots of photos/videos which made me feel very comfortable that my dog was well taken care of. I would gladly take my dog to Yasemin again, and know he would love to stay with her and her family again!🤗🐶”

“First time using her, and she was awesome! She was super understanding even with my last minute booking and kept me updated every day with photos of my dog. It gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

“What a great stay for Stitch. They are so conscientious and kind. He came home calm and happy. Great updates with details on walks, photos, potty. Will definitely have Stitch stay again.”

“Amber is awesome! She was really flexible, responsive and highly communicative - she sent lots of fun photos and updates during the stay. My dog Kona seemed to have such a fun time playing with her puppy. I would highly recommend her as a sitter!”

“Ghazal is super responsive, gives a lot of attention to my dog, and provides the right care to her. She sent a lot of photos and I can definitely see that my dog is spending a great time with her! I will highly recommend her and rebook again :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sunnyvale
We had a wonderful experience with our sitter! Yoda stayed with her for 8 days while we were away, and we felt very comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. She sent us photos and thoughtful updates every day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She made sure Yoda got plenty of walks every day and even took him hiking on the weekend! From all the photos and updates, we could tell that Yoda was having such a great time and was very happy and comfortable with her. When we picked Yoda up, he was happy, healthy, and in great condition. It was clear that she took wonderful care of him and treated him like her own. We really appreciate all the love and attention she gave Yoda. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and trustworthy sitter!

We had such a wonderful experience! ❤️ After a couple of not-so-great experiences with sitters in the past, we were a little nervous leaving our boy with someone new, but we had absolutely nothing to worry about. The regular updates were so reassuring, and it was clear he was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. The adorable Polaroids were such a sweet touch — they’re going straight on the fridge! 😁 Thank you for taking such great care of our boy. We’d happily book with you again and hope you’re available next time we travel! ❤️

Surbhi was an absolute rockstar host for my dog, Scooby! They kept him busy with all his favorite fun activities and sent the cutest picture updates throughout his stay. It is so clear they are true pet lovers. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch care!

Jennifer took amazing care of Simba! She was very understanding of his special diet and made sure all his needs were taken care of. She also took him on walks and did a great job keeping him safe — especially since Simba is quite the escape artist! 😅 We really appreciated how attentive, caring, and responsible she was throughout his stay. We’ll definitely book with Jennifer again whenever we’re visiting the Bay Area!

Tofu had his first sleep over at Dawns and he clearly was having the best time of his life. I always feel at ease when Tofu is with Dawn! She’s our go to boarding sitter and day care sitter too! Tofu always comes back completely spent, he’s a happy boy everytime we take him to Dawn’s. Thank you Dawn!!

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
