About: I grew up with dogs in the family, so caring for them is second nature. Now I have young, responsible daughters who share that love — our whole family lights up around dogs. We travel too often to own one ourselves, so instead we're hoping to build lasting relationships with a few special dogs whose families need occasional help. We're not doing this for the money; we simply love dogs and want more of them in our lives. What sets me apart beyond that: I'm active and love taking dogs on hikes — and trail runs, if they're up for it — so high-energy pups will come home tired and happy. Your dog gets a whole family's attention — a workout buddy, playmates, and steady, caring company. We plan to take one dog every 2-3 months and to shower them with love and attention. If you're interested in our family, chances are best if you coordinate with us well in advance :) I'm semi-retired and work from home on a completely flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my whole day — not just the edges of it. Your dog won't be waiting hours for attention: mornings can start with a long walk/hike or run and midday means play and company rather than an empty house. On the weekends, after school, on holidays, and during summer break, my daughters will shower your pup with love and attention. Safety comes first, whether your dog is with us or in their own home. We live on a large lot in Los Altos with fully fenced front and back yards, so there's plenty of secure space to play and explore. We're minutes from the foothills, with easy access to great hiking trails, and I have the proper equipment to transport your pup safely. In our home, your dog is treated as part of the family: supervised play, a consistent routine for meals, walks, and rest, and someone home all day, so dogs are never alone. On outings, dogs stay leashed unless you've told me otherwise, and I match the pace and distance to your dog's fitness and the weather, while ensuring your dog is hydrated. I'm happy to follow your routine exactly — feeding, medications, sleeping arrangements, house rules, etc. You'll get regular photo and video updates, so you always know your pup is safe and happy.

Mora was absolutely wonderful with Baxter. She sent lots of photos and texts with how they spent their day. She took him for walks, played tug of war and snuggled on the couch. She was very good at picking up his cues to understand what he needed. She has a clean, lovely home with a backyard in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely use Mora as a sitter again.
I can't recommend Jeff and his girls highly enough! This was our 8-year-old German Shepherd's very first boarding experience, so we were understandably a little nervous. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to make sure she felt safe, comfortable, and loved. Even at our meet and greet, I was so impressed. Jeff had clearly read through Lolly's profile ahead of time and came prepared with a list of thoughtful questions about her routine, personality, and preferences. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to get to know her and make sure she had the best possible stay, and that immediately put us at ease. Every day was a new adventure for Lolly! They took her on fun outings, kept her active, and treated her like part of the family. One of my favorite parts was receiving so many photos and updates throughout her stay—it gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and having such a great time. Jeff's communication was great, too. He responded incredibly quickly whenever I reached out, and anytime he had a question, he always checked with me instead of making assumptions. I especially appreciated the little things, like asking before letting her play in the doggy pool. That level of thoughtfulness meant so much. When we picked Lolly up, she was so happy, relaxed, and pleasantly tired from all of her adventures. It was clear she had been genuinely cared for and loved during her stay. As first-time boarding parents, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. We'll absolutely be booking with Jeff again for future trips and sincerely hope he's available whenever we need him. This is the third time Kelly and Ben have taken care of Nia during our annual visits to Palo Alto. Nia is right at home with both of them and can’t wait to get to their apartment when we drop her off. She loves her walks on campus and Kelly sends fun pics. We know Nia will be happy there and Kelly and Ben will take good care of her.
Emma is great! She has watched Kovu several times now. Emma sends updates and photos so you know your pup is in good hands. Her dog is very friendly and Kovu enjoys staying there. Emma also doesn’t watch multiple dogs at once so your dog doesn’t feel overwhelmed. I love that she has a yard too that they can play in. Emma is flexible and reliable!
Found Michael based on ratings and close proximity to my house. This was the first time leaving my five year old Shih Poo with someone other than friends or family for an extended period of time. So I wasn’t sure what to expect. From the initial meet and greet through drop-off and pickup, Michael pit to ease any nervousness I may have had. Michael is very responsive and flexible. He provided multiple updates throughout the day, with pictures. My dog even learned a new trick from some of the other dogs. I plan to book with Michael again. Overall, a great experience.
Matt was great with dog Hazel and her special needs. He helped keep up with her training, administered medicine and took time to play tug with her. His home has an expansive back yard (by Palo Alto standards) for Hazel to explore and stretch her legs. I would love to board Hazel with Matt in the future.
I can't say enough about the excellent care that Kathryn and Denis gave to our dog Rolo while we were away. We are so grateful to them for all the updates they provided and the photos showing us that Rolo was happy and enjoying his holiday as well. Ahmyah took care of my 8- year Golden Retriever (Basin) while I was attending meetings at Stanford for a few days. Its clear she really loves dogs. She sent me cute videos of Basin on campus having a great time! I would love for Basin to stay with Ahmyah again when we are back at Stanford.
Svetlana was a great caretaker for ZuZu. They have a nice grass yard that’s enclosed. She walks ZuZu regularly and played with her. Her daily updates are personal and detailed. I always look forward to read her updates. She is obvious experienced at taking care of dogs and she has a warm heart. I will not hesitate to send zuzu back next time around. She is simply great!
