“Tracy and her husband were great with my dog, Ocean! He stayed with them for a week, and they sent photos every day with updates on how he was doing and he had a great time :)”

“When I met Jae on the meet & greet I knew she was a very conscientious dog owner and Bella would be in good hands. She took great care of her and she was open to taking Bella without a lot of prior notice. She sent photos and kept me informed on how Bella was getting along. I would not hesitate to leave Bella again with Jae.”

“Very attentive and thorough! Took my dog for long walks, made sure she was well-fed, and paid close attention when she was around another dog. Would highly recommend!”

“Mike is great with dogs. My pup had plenty of walks and playtime with couple of other dogs in the roomy backyard, and he got lots of pets and affection. I would definitely leave my dog with him again.”

“Yun and his partner did a great job taking care of our pup, Bagel, for a whole week. Bagel had lots of fun with them, they walked and played fetch with him daily. They made sure they understood the care instructions we provided and sent daily updates. Most importantly, Bagel came home a happy dog. Highly recommend!”

“Jesse & Kimmy went above and beyond taking care of my high energy dog ❤️. They made sure to understand his needs and I got multiple updates/pictures and videos while I was away! I also got the cutest Polaroid of him as a parting gift! Many thanks !”

“India had a wonderful visit with Olga and her family. She was loved, walked and cuddled. I received lots of photos and videos and felt completely assured India was in good hands. I loved that India had access to her yard, dog park and lots of walks. I am absolutely going to rebook Olga for India. I feel completely lucky to find Olga, she is a gem, thoughtful, responsible and naturally an animal person.”

“Fang took great care of our dog Aspen during her weekend stay. She is very responsive and flexible and sent many updates with pictures and videos during her stay. Thank you so much for taking great care of our pup! Will definitely book again in the future 😊”

“Meerim & Saumya were amazing, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! They took care of our dog Bailey for 2 weeks and the entire experience was exceptional. It was clear they treated her like family. Meerim & Saumya were attentive, loving, and thoughtful in every aspect of her care. Bailey was comfortable in their home and we received plenty of photos and updates! When she was picked up, Bailey was relaxed, happy, and clearly had a wonderful time, which says everything! I would happily trust them with Bailey again.”

“Mora took such wonderful care of my dog over three days. She provided detailed updates each day including photos and videos. She took him on hikes and played with him at the park. He had a wonderful time!”

“Margaret is a true dog person and I felt at ease leaving my girl in her care. She does an excellent job of managing her pack and making sure all dogs are safe and comfortable. My dog is ~80 lbs and has her quirks, so I can't leave her in the hands of just anyone. I am so glad to have found a home environment that my dog is comfortable in while I am out of town and will certainly book with Margaret again.”

“Matthew and Katelyn were amazing! They took such great care of our pup for the night and made everything super easy. “Jifu did a great job taking care of my dog Taco. Taco was shy and afraid as this was his first stay away from family. Jifu was patient with Taco, and he was able to get more comfortable after a day. I received updates and photos from Jifu during the stay. I would book Jifu again. Thank you!”

About: I may be new to dog sitting, but I’m definitely not new to being a dog person! 🐶💗 I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and truly can’t imagine life without them. I’m so excited to welcome some furry friends into my home and treat them like part of the family while they’re here. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, couch cuddles, or just having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they get plenty of love and attention. I can’t wait to meet your four-legged best friend! 🐾 I’m currently working on the weekdays but free on weekends. I’m mostly home during the weekends or outside hiking. Would love for a furry friend to join me on my hikes and lounge with me while watching Netflix! I live with my boyfriend and he will be around but I will be responsible for your pup! ☺️ I currently live in an apartment with my boyfriend Zach! I will be able to provide tons of potty breaks for your furry friend! I also would be around for multiple walks a day. Dogs are welcome on the bed when it comes to sleeping!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Stanford
We had a very busy weekend where our Chaweenie, Miso, would have had to be alone for large stretches, or travel non-stop in a car all day. So we decided to find a "surrogate family" for the weekend. Shobi, her husband, and girls took great care of her. When I picked her up, she seemed relaxed and happy. We will for sure book more stays with Shobi and her lovely family!

Ying provided a fantastic boarding experience for 16 days for my dog. She took my dog for at least two walks per day, played fetch with her every day, and also took her on a longer hike. She sent me extensive updates three times per day with numerous photos and videos. The detailed information allowed me to see that my dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Ying’s dog Charlie is also incredibly gentle and calm, and although my dog is often anxious around other dogs, they became great friends. While I was away, my dog also developed some irritation in her paws, likely due to pre-existing allergies. Ying informed me promptly and treated the problem effectively per my instructions, and her paws were completely healed by the time I returned to pick her up. I highly recommend Ying for boarding and I won’t hesitate to use her again the next time I travel.

This is the third time Kelly and Ben have taken care of Nia during our annual visits to Palo Alto. Nia is right at home with both of them and can’t wait to get to their apartment when we drop her off. She loves her walks on campus and Kelly sends fun pics. We know Nia will be happy there and Kelly and Ben will take good care of her.

Our energetic English cocker spaniel just spent nearly a month with Tillana, as our family enjoyed some summer travels. This was our longest stint away from Ruby, and we were all missing her so much, but felt reassured that she was in GREAT hands with Tillana. She would send regular "pupdates" with photos and videos and reports of Ruby's adventures--puppy playdates, hikes in Portola Valley, outings to the beach in HMB, and even visits to some of the local shops in Tillana's lovely neighborhood. Ruby honestly had a vacation adventure of her own, which made us feel so much better about leaving her for so long. We will definitely board Ruby with Tillana again during future travels.

Matt was great with dog Hazel and her special needs. He helped keep up with her training, administered medicine and took time to play tug with her. His home has an expansive back yard (by Palo Alto standards) for Hazel to explore and stretch her legs. I would love to board Hazel with Matt in the future.

Margarita took very good care of Buddy and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated! It was nice to see how he was doing and know he was being well cared for. We would gladly trust her with Buddy again in the future.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
