“Tillana is amazing, Desta was soo happy hanging out with her and the other puppies. She took such great care of him and gave him an amazing vacation of his own. He got to go on many adventures and also got so much love and attention while we were away. We are so grateful for Tillana and will definitely be using her in the future as well.”

“Peanut had his trial day with Shannon today and everything went great. She took wonderful care of him, kept us updated with lots of photos, and made us feel very comfortable the whole time. We could see that he was happy and well cared for. We will definitely book with her again in the future”

“Nina and Leo were so great with my Quincy. Quincy is a rescue from Korean meat farm and has some issues such as separation anxiety and leash aggression. Nina and Leo were very understanding, seemed extremely experienced, and took great care of Quincy - they even bought him a stuffed toy that he loves and plays with everyday! They provided me with daily updates and photos while I was out of the country for 12 days. I will definitely use them again.”

“Michael, Tyler, Lauren and Leslie provide stellar care to our senior (16 years) Shiba Inu. The love and attention they showered on her warmed my heart. I also appreciated how patient they were with her as she moves slowly. This care team is awesome! Highly recommend them.”

“Kimmy and Jesse are simply the best. They take such great care of my dog, give him lots of love and play time. They went above and beyond when my dog had some GI issues for a few days. Their communication is excellent. Thank you guys for everything!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life (at one point we had 5 at time!) love taking them for long walks, teaching them new tricks like weave (and handstand!), and engaging their minds with agility. My senior dog recently passed and while I am not ready to get a new dog just yet, I miss having a dog so want to occasionally dog sit to help others out with their dogs before getting another dog of my own. I work full time but occasionally work from home. For this reason, Thursday to Sunday or Monday is best for me. I am active and love going on walks, hikes, and runs in and around the beautiful Portola Valley neighborhood. I love to hang on the couch and snuggle in the evenings! Dogs (non shedding) allowed on the bed :) My large backyard is fenced. My husband Dave and I often are asked by friends to help train their dogs because we love to help and are good at it! :)
“Katherine was incredibly attentive to our senior dog and made him feel at home! We are grateful for her many updates and great communication, and we know our dog would love to stay with her again!”

“Pouneh was absolutely wonderful with our dog! He was so excited to see her and was treated so well the whole weekend he stayed with her! I really appreciated the excellent and prompt communication too!”

“Svetlana was great! Our dog was loved and cared for, and I would not hesitate to leave her again in such good hands. I appreciated the daily updates and pictures of walks, play, and lounging at home. Svetlana was super responsive to all of my questions and was such a nice person to interact with. The overall experience was fantastic.”

“Katie and Jason are super star dog sitters! My senior dog, Abby, was very comfortable with them. I loved getting all the updates. Katie was really responsive on text and kept to Abby’s schedule and routines. I am so thankful we found them!”

“Lucky had a wonderful time staying at Sein’s home! She took great care of her and kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos of Lucky’s daily life, along with detailed summaries of her routine—meals, playtime, and potty breaks. This really put our minds at ease while we were away. Sein was also very responsive and always quick to answer any questions or concerns. Lucky clearly enjoyed her stay, especially spending time with the other dogs and cats. We truly appreciate her care and will definitely bring Lucky back again in the future!”

“I absolutely recommend Charlotte as a great pet caregiver! During our trip to Japan, she and her family including two adorable daughters took great care of our dog, Jessie. She regulary walked Jessie and secured play times every single day. She always kept us posted by messages along with the nice photos so that we could rest assured by understanding how gently, friendly, and carefully Jessie was taken care of by them. We will definitely come back to her for next occasions going forward!”

“Karla was great watching my dog while I was away. She spent extra time to learn more about my dog so she could provide a better care for him. She also kept me posted so I could be sure he’s enjoying staying with Karla ☺️”

About: As a fellow dog parent, I know just how important it is to find someone who'll love your pup like their own. I've learned so much from raising my sweet Cavapoo over the past 4 years - including navigating separation anxiety and training challenges with help from the awesome folks at Cali K9 and Zoom Room. All these experiences have made me a patient, understanding caregiver who knows every dog is uniquely special. Your furry friend will have a blast joining us for adventures in our local parks and trails, where we keep tails wagging with plenty of fun and positive reinforcement. I've had the joy of caring for many pups with different personalities, and I always make sure each one feels safe, happy, and right at home with us. Let's give your dog the loving attention they deserve! I'm thrilled to share what a typical day would look like for your pup! I've marked my calendar to show the days I'm home and fully available to focus on caring for your dog. Since I work from home on these days, I'm here to give your furry friend lots of attention and care. We follow a fun routine that includes at least three energetic walks daily, plus plenty of playtime with our collection of toys to keep everyone happy and engaged! I do pop out briefly for my gym sessions, but I'll always keep you in the loop about my schedule. Your dog will never feel lonely - they'll be right by my side throughout the day, getting all the love and attention they deserve! I maintain a clean, pet-proofed apartment where your furry friend can relax without any worries. For bedtime, I have a dedicated crate in the study where my dog sleeps, and I have an extra crate available if your pup is crate-trained - though they're also welcome to find their comfy spot anywhere in the apartment! Safety is my top priority, so I take extra precautions like always keeping doors securely locked and making sure the apartment is tidy and free of anything that could be harmful. When we head out for walks in our quiet, safe neighborhood, your pup will always be properly leashed, and I even use special light-up collars for our evening strolls. You can rest easy knowing your dog is in a secure, peaceful environment with someone who takes their safety seriously
About: Firm yet loving care for all dogs, specializing in puppy training, high energy, hiking/running, and managing complex medical needs like seizures, food sensitivities, and limited mobility. My approach to pet care is rooted in structure, trust, and genuine affection. My services will be tailored to each dog's needs indoors or outdoors.
“Mora was fantastic. We have a 1 year old cavapoo who can get nervous & separation anxiety - but Mora was wonderful. We got lots of photos and could tell he was comfortable & getting a lot of time & affection. It was only 1 night but would definitely recommend Mora & we will be using her again! Thanks Mora!”

“Galina and Aleksei took great care of Mochi, giving him lots of play time and taking him on frequent long walks. They provided regular updates with lots of photos and videos. We could tell Mochi liked their company a lot and he was actually a bit sad to leave when we picked him up! We're looking forward to the next time we book with them.”

“I needed to find care for my cat on short notice and Ivan was really responsive and made my first time boarding my cat very easy! He sent lots of pictures and updates and he made my very shy cat open up and get comfortable very quickly!”

“Alissa was very attentive to Percy and kept us updated throughout the stay. Percy was acting a bit out of character when he first came to visit and was barking a lot. Alissa took many steps to manage his unusual behavior and kept me updated along the way. I was very appreciative that she was patient with him. He was very comfortable and happy with Alissa and I would definitely recommend her.”

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
