“My doodle Maya boarded with Jifu and Jessica for 12 days over the 4th of July. They updated me with pictures which was what I needed while away from my dog. They took good care of my dog. I like the fact that they also have a dog that was a good companion for my Maya. I would definitely use their services again for future boarding.”

“Manli was terrific! Beautiful home and a pleasant environment. She sent me daily pictures of how my Mac was doing, which was especially great given this was his first time boarding in someone's home (instead of a kennel). Highly recommended!”

“Michael was very easy going and it’s apparent that he loves caring for the dogs. ZuZu has a great stay at his place. He took walks every day with ZuZu and played with her. I’m confident that we will use his care again in the future.”

“This was my first time hiring Rachel to care for my pet, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and detail-oriented when it comes to caring for my cat. I was especially touched by the thoughtful extras—a cute photo of my cat, a handwritten card, and some lovely stickers. Everything felt so personal and heartfelt. I’m very satisfied with her care and will definitely book with her again!”

About: I spent time as a SPCA cat socializer with perfectly healthy kitties and some with significant health needs. We were expected to keep them company whether energetic kitten, disconnected and scared cat or even sick cats being treated. I’d play with the ones that wanted to play, sit with the shy ones and learn how to properly read their behavior and respond appropriately to get them more comfortable with humans. I raised my own cat who was a pretty easy going one from the get go. But my training and experience as a socializer helped me navigate ways to best support my other two kitties’ needs, and friends’ kitties’ needs more adeptly. Cat behavior is nuanced and I pride myself in looking for an animal’s signals to ensure I’m helping them be comfortable.
“Alexis was wonderful once again -- took great care of our senior kitty, making sure she got her daily medication and lots of sweet attention. Alexis also sent detailed updates and made sure our home was secured. When we came home, our kitty was relaxed and herself, a sure sign she was cared for. Thank you, Alexis!”

“Dani did an absolutely amazing job with our kitten Maddy. She was so quick to respond to me when I was looking for someone to drop in and visit our cat during our out-of-town trip. We got a detailed report every day, along with a bunch of really sweet photos. Maddy can be a bit particular and uncomfortable around strangers, but it seems Dani was able to quickly get her to open up and play. It really meant a lot to us to know that our cat was being taken care of so well and diligently while we were out of town. Dani clearly loves animals and is fantastic at her job, I will definitely be calling her again the next time Maddy needs a buddy while we’re gone. Thanks again Dani!”

“Meg was very friendly and professional. We had her do drop in visits to check on our two cats during an extended trip. She was super responsive and flexible, which was appreciated as she was willing to do one of her visits early when we saw on our pet cam that the cats had knocked over their auto feeder. We would definitely use Meg's services again and would recommend her to others looking for a reliable sitter!”

About: I grew up with the sweetest Shih Tzu in the world named Dak (a small computer chip). And I think my style of pet care came from taking care of him. I was attentive and gave him lots of love. He loved driving in the car with me, actually :) I have been pet sitting for friends and on other platforms for over 5 years in their homes. And I took care of a neighbor's bird way back in high school. For the most part I have specialized in cats and small to medium dogs. I also have a calm spirit that many animals are drawn to. So we can chill together for a long time. In addition, I'm responsible and respectful, caring and considerate not only for pets but also for owner's homes. I am able to communicate well and clearly and can problem solve to resolve any situation which might arise. In short, I have the know-how to be able to feed, entertain, clean up after, and love cats and dogs and their living spaces. And I can communicate well to their parents to keep them safe and happy while mom and dads are away. I currently work part-time teaching English online. I also am writing my doctoral dissertation. This means I am home a lot and very happy to spend lots of time with pets, even at my desk with me or curled up on the sofa. I strictly watch pets in their own homes. Firstly, because I am missionary and I've been staying temporarily in my parents house in North Carolina and now here with my brother in Palo Alto. Secondly, because I think pets are much happier if they can stay in their own homes and in familiar surroundings.

“Nina and Leo were very quick to respond and very accommodating. They were easy to work with and provided lots of photos and updates on our pet. Overall, they had a sweet demeanor and were professional the whole way through. I recommend them!”

“Jenna was great at taking care of our 2 senior cats - Marley and Bailey. She gave very detailed rover cards, sent photos, was very quick to reply and followed instructions well. I would recommend her and will use Jenna in the future.”

“Samantha was fantastic with our cat!! She communicated well, took great photos of him, and was super reliable with her drop-ins. Our cat is very social and gets separation anxiety, so I appreciated how much attention she gave him, with playtime and pets. It was clear from the photos that he felt comfortable and happy with her here. Thank you so much Samantha!!”

“Anastasiia was very communicative and handled the cat care very well. she even stayed extra long to play with them some days. she also vacuumed the house at the nice, appreciate the small touches! will definitely be rebooking with her and totally recommend to book.”

About: I’ve had countless pets growing up, as my mom regularly rescues street dogs. We care for them until they get placed in shelters. I’ve been taught to handle all types of dogs from super energetic to calm dogs. I'm currently a senior at Menlo-Atherton High School. I'm always available on weekends. On weekdays I’m available anytime after 3pm, except Thursdays where I’m available anytime after 1pm. I’m very observant of dog’s behavior and try to match their energy, while keeping their environment as stress free as possible. My number one priority is always your dogs safety and ensuring they are comfortable

“This was our cat's first time being house sat. Andrea did a great job taking pictures and keeping us updated. Our cat seemed very comfortable with Andrea. Highly recommend Andrea!”

“Caroline is amazing! She was able to fill in for an emergency sitting request and take care of my boys. They love her, and she takes great care of them, and provides great updates and pictures throughout. I fully recommend her!”

“Julia was great! She went above and beyond for our cats. She went above the call of duty and really made sure our cats were well cared for. We very much appreciated all that she did for us and our little ones. We would definitely hire her again!”

About: I have taken care of cats (my own and fosters) for over two years. I understand that cats are easily stressed out by strangers coming into their homes and I do my best to give them space while making sure their needs are taken care of.

“Guilherme was great with our two cats, one of which needed daily liquid medication. We got prompt and frequent updates and pictures throughout the visits. Would easily recommend!”

“Rachel is SUCH an incredible cat sitter! I appreciate how she shares how Mowgli is interacting with her so much, he even laid on her chest this time and that's HUGE for him and shows how comfortable he is with her. She is so attuned and aware to him, I feel absolutely free to leave and know that he's in the best of hands. Thank you Rachel, you are INCREDIBLE!!!”

About: I have been cat and dog sitting since I was 16! I have experience walking and pet sitting for neighbor’s, friend’s and family’s animals. I also grew up with dogs so I am very comfortable with all ages and sizes of animals! I have experience volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society from college so I have formal dog walking training! I just finished a contract working at Stanford and have some extra time in my day now. I am big on taking my daily walks outside and any pet can join me! Other than exercising I spend most of my day doing work and reading being a couch potato. I always try to work with the pets routine and stay flexible. I am big on making the pets comfortable (usually with treats and floor time) around me. I like to spend time with pets in their home before taking them on walks or letting them out. I can follow any rules set and any training that needs to be enforced as well.

“Stacey was great to work with! She was a great communicator, made pick up and drop off very easy and checked in with me throughout Bogey’s stay. My pupper seemed super comfortable and at easy with her and her dogs as well. Will definitely be working with her again :)”

About: I love taking care of dogs! I've grown up with dogs my whole life (1 Maltipoo, 2 Shih-Tzus, 1 Aussie Doodle, and 1 Poodle), each of which has had a distinct personality. I also have experience dog-sitting for larger dogs in the area, including Golden Retrievers and Black Labs. My family's current pets are quite needy, so I am used to frequent walking and particular routines. However, I'm also happy with a more relaxed dog. Over the summer, I will be working about 5 hrs/week in person and 10 hrs/week remotely. I am very flexible for dog walking, including in the morning and the evening. I live in a 2BR/2BA apartment building on Stanford campus. The building is very new. It is surrounded by several fields and playgrounds, so there is plenty of space for dogs to be walked. I have no personal pets.
“This was my first time using Rover and finding someone to take care of my fur baby after a couple places (not from Rover) where we had very scary incidences. I had hesitation to take him anywhere. Manli helped me feel comfortable by being very responsive, listening to his restrictions and sending me pictures throughout the day. I feel more comfortable leaving him with her during our trip. Thank you!”

“Our puppy had such a great time with Ying! She was super attentive to all our puppy’s needs and sent lots of pictures. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. Her dog has also been a great playmate for our puppy, so they get lots of energy out too.”

“Tillana was great! My puppy had an upset stomach and she gave great Recs and even provided him with some pumpkin which was so appreciated. She's a great communicator and sent lots of pictures which I loved!”

“Silvana took incredible care of my very anxious dog. He typically has separation anxiety and takes a while to get use to a new place, but she made him feel comfortable right away. She took him on walks, took him to the park to play with another dog he felt comfortable with, and made sure I was updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. When I went to pick him up he gave her kisses goodbye :) We absolutely will re-book with Silvana. Thank you, Silvana, for taking such great care of Jackson!”

About: I’m an experienced dog sitter who had just relocated from San Francisco. I regularly watched a dog 3 times a week and can take up to 2 dogs at once. I've helped take care of my parents dog for 8 years since she was a puppy and I take her to the beach, for walks, to play at the dog park, and bathe her regularly. I work until 3pm so I have plenty of time in the afternoon to take pups out for walks. I love meeting new dogs and am used to high energy dogs. I am very comfortable around dogs and want your dog to be happy. I am very clean and want to be considerate of your space.
“Bilbo had a great time at doggy day care with Edward and Elisha! They have a large backyard for the dogs to play and hang out. Bilbo got along well with their dogs Rusty and Ruby. They sent many photos so I know that Bilbo was happy and well taken care of. We will definitely bring Bilbo back. Highly recommend Edward and Elisha!”

About: I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while I'm home for the summer. I’m vegan and I genuinely love animals and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule right now, so I'm around to keep your pets company, stick to their regular routines, and make sure everything is taken care of. I'll always send plenty of photo updates too so you know they're doing great. I've taken care of dogs and cats for family and friends over the last couple of years, so I'm super comfortable handling feedings, walks, and overnight stays! I’m home for the summer and my schedule is incredibly open and flexible right now. Since I don't work a typical 9-to-5, I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to hang out with your pets, stick to their routines, and make sure they're taken care of. Safety is the main thing for me. I always double-check locks and gates, follow whatever feeding or walking instructions you leave, and keep a close eye on them. I've watched dogs and cats for family and friends for the past two years, so I know how to keep everything clean and safe.
“They were fantastic with my dog! She went for two days and was very excited to go back the second day. Would highly recommend and will be rebooking in the future :) Thank you!”

“Best sitter we've ever encountered for our dog with many needs for her happiness. Well she came home so happy and better yet tired from all the walks which takes a lot. He kept sending us photos of her so we knew she was having a great time. He really understood our dog for not only the needs but her wants. So lucky to have found him.”
About: I live with my wife, baby girl, cat, and dog in Palo Alto. At home, I am the CPO (chief poop officer). I've experience with administering flea medicine for cats and dogs. I make sure the pets have food and water. I've trained my current and past dogs (sit, stay, go home, come, leave it, look at me, and other commands). I am responsible and clean up after the animals whether it's poop or vomit. Furry animals make me happy. I'm extroverted, so I am also social and easy to communicate with. I can care for your pet as long as I'm available. I've a flexible work schedule, and am on holiday for two weeks starting the week of Christmas. I have a cat and dog that likes to run out of the door, so I am careful when going in and out of the house. I'd do the same for you. I make sure they've food and water. If the dog goes on a hike where there are tall grass, then I'd check for ticks after the walk and use a tweezer to remove the tick if needed. If the cat or dog has its tail between its legs, then I'd approach slowly and walk around them to not make them too uncomfortable. If the cat's tail is up and approaches, then I give him/her a scratch on the head or chin. If dog's tail is wagging, then I'd definitely pet him/her. If the pet has dietary restrictions, then I will follow the owner's dietary guideline.
“We're so glad we found someone like Crystal to take care of our 12-week old pup while we're out and about. She's super responsive, sends updates with pics, and we know that our puppy is well taken care of. She comes home exhausted, and is really excited to see Crystal every time we drop her off. You can entrust the care of your dog to Crystal with your eyes closed.”

“My malinois warmed up to Meg immediately. I wouldn’t trust just anyone with my dog since he’s 95 pounds and can be prone to hypervigilance, but Meg is calm, knowledgeable, and intuitive with animals. I feel totally comfortable with her.”

About: I grew up raising three dogs and have experience caring for both indoor and outdoor dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I now have a dog of my own, Kylo Bear, a fully trained Goldendoodle/Aussie mix who keeps life fun and active. I’m extremely dedicated, detail-oriented, and truly love being around dogs. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide lots of attention, supervision, walks, playtime, and affection throughout the day. Kylo is very well trained, and I’m happy to help reinforce training, routines, and good habits during my time with your dog if that’s something you’d like incorporated. I understand how important routines, patience, and communication are when caring for someone else’s pet, and I’ll always make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup loves being active or just wants cuddles and company, I’ll care for them like family. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I work from home. I structure my day around breaks for walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and outdoor time, so dogs are never left without attention or company for long periods. Having my own dog, Kylo Bear, already makes pet care part of my everyday life. He’s fully trained and well-behaved, and I’m used to incorporating walks, training reinforcement, and structured activity throughout the day. Outside of regular work hours, I love being active with dogs, taking them on longer walks or even jogs if they enjoy it. I’m flexible and able to adjust my schedule to match each dog’s needs, whether that means more exercise, more play, or a calmer environment. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and structured environment for every dog in my care. Because I work from home, dogs are supervised throughout the day and are rarely left alone for extended periods. I build my schedule around their needs, including regular walks, feeding routines, playtime, and rest. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family. I make sure they have a comfortable, clean, and low-stress space where they can relax and feel secure. I’m attentive to each dog’s personality and energy level, and I adjust activity accordingly. Whether that means structured play, enrichment, or quiet downtime. Safety is always my top priority. Walks are done on leash, and I’m mindful of each dog’s behavior, triggers, and comfort level in different environments. I also follow any instructions closely and keep owners updated with communication and photos so they feel confident and connected while they’re away.
About: My Pet Care Experience Growing up, I had the joy of sharing my life with a variety of pets, each teaching me something unique about responsibility, empathy, and companionship. Over the years, I’ve cared for hamsters, cats, dogs, fish, bunnies, and turtles, and every one of them left a lasting impact on me. As a child, my hamsters taught me patience and attentiveness through their delicate care needs. Feeding them the right diet and cleaning their habitat were my first lessons in responsibility. With dogs and cats, I learned the importance of building trust and providing unconditional love. They showed me how meaningful the bond between humans and animals can be. Bunnies and turtles required different forms of care, from maintaining specific diets to creating environments that matched their natural habitats. These experiences taught me how to adapt and tailor my care to meet the needs of each pet. Even caring for fish required a level of diligence, as maintaining a clean tank and balanced water conditions was essential for their well-being. Now, as an adult, I deeply appreciate how much these experiences shaped my understanding of what it means to care for animals. Pets aren’t just companions; they’re beings that rely on us for their health, happiness, and safety. This realization drives my dedication to providing the best care possible for my current and future pets. Whether it’s ensuring they receive proper nutrition, regular vet check-ups, or just spending quality time with them, I believe that having pets is both a privilege and a commitment. Caring for animals has not only made me more responsible but has also brought immense joy and fulfillment into my life. Pet care is an important part of my daily and weekly routine, and I always make time to ensure pets are happy and healthy. Currently, as a student on vacation, I have plenty of free time during the holidays to dedicate to their care, including playing with them, grooming, and keeping their spaces clean. During the semester, I usually have classes in the mornings, but my afternoons and evenings are free. This gives me a flexible schedule to provide attention, exercise, and care for the pets. I enjoy creating a balance between my responsibilities and spending quality time with them, as I believe this is key to building a strong bond and keeping them content. I am very responsible when it comes to caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home. I always prioritize building trust with the pet, creating a bond that ensures they feel safe and comfortable with me. The place where I live is fenced and quiet, making it a safe environment for pets. However, I understand that pets often feel more comfortable staying in their own home, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. For this reason, I am more than happy to care for them at their place if that’s preferred. Regardless of the location, I make sure to follow their specific routines, provide plenty of playtime and attention, and ensure their needs are met with love and care.
“Anastasii is fabulous with our dogs! She is very punctual and reliable. We trust her very much to care for our two dogs and she always goes above and beyond.”

About: Experienced animal lover who has raised everything from chickens to horses! I have over ten years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter for friends, family, neighbors, and clients. I am also available to spend time in your home for pets who have more social needs while their owners are away. I have a fenced yard and close access to a large dog park for hosting dogs at my home. I also have a large second bedroom to host cats or dogs who prefer to be inside. All pets in my home will be kept completely separate from my two cats.
“Rachel has been great to work with - very communicative and reliable, and has provided a bunch of pictures from each walk. When it was too hot for a full 30 minute walk, she did a mix of walking and indoor playtime/cuddles. I’ll definitely continue to use her for walks and dog sitting in the future!”

“Bagheera had very good care with Jess and Kimmy. Their big fenced yard and friendly dog made him comfortable, and he became attached to Kimmy! I will definitely ask them to care for my little sweetie again!”

“Tillana was so easy to communicate with, and very friendly. The pups LOVED hanging out with, Tillana and a few other fur friends. My pups, I’m sure, will be exciting to play again soon!”

“I highly recommend Ying for anyone seeking a reliable and attentive pet sitter. She was incredibly thorough, followed every detailed instruction perfectly, and kept me at ease with regular photos and videos. One of my dogs bonded with her immediately, which is the ultimate endorsement. I couldn't have asked for a more professional or caring experience!”

“The sweetest dog deserves the sweetest sitter! Anam kindly did a meet and greet with us before a multi-night stay. Our dog quickly warmed up to all the love and attention. Anam provided just the right amount of photos and updates. Piper enjoyed her stay!! Thank you so much!!”

“Kelly took great care of Lucky. He seemed very happy after his time with her and even as we were getting back in the car he went to the end of his leash to get one more look before she left. Highly recommend Kelly!”

“Poppy had a great stay! Margaret was so patient and thoughtful getting Poppy settled and comfortable with her crew. Communication was just right to put my mind at ease and see that Poppy was having a great time.”

“Peanut had his trial day with Shannon today and everything went great. She took wonderful care of him, kept us updated with lots of photos, and made us feel very comfortable the whole time. We could see that he was happy and well cared for. We will definitely book with her again in the future”

About: I've taken care of small dogs and large dogs since I was in middle school. I enjoy playing with dogs, giving them lots of hugs and pets, and taking them on excursions, whether it be to the dog park, beach, or a scenic hiking trail. I work part-time from home so I am able to spend lots of time with the fur babies in my care. I love to take them out for fresh air and exercise, and give them lots of love, pets, and attention. I have a fenced, grassy backyard and a friendly labrador retriever named Sadie who is very sweet and playful and loves having other dogs to play with. We have a doggie door so the pups have day and night access to the backyard to run around and do their business. I can easily crate your dog if that is something you prefer.
“Fang is an amazing sitter! She is very communicative and sends photos, videos and updates throughout the day and night. She did an amazing job watching Four. It’s always hard to leave your fur baby, but I can tell that Four had a great time and enjoyed all the love and attention.”

“Kathryn and Denis are top notch dog people. They and their family provided a cozy and welcoming home for our high energy pup. Our dog does not always settle in quickly but did so quickly with this beautiful family. She, the dog, even appeared to mind her manners. Thank you K & D.”

“Joy was both skillful and easygoing when we left our dog Lila with her and her family. I got photos of Lila snuggling on the sofa, and Joy had a great outdoor space for her dogs and mine to play.”

“Meerim and her partner were absolutely amazing dog sitters for my family’s 9 year old dog! She handled our dog’s reactive tendencies around other dogs like a pro and was incredibly prompt in responding and sending pics throughout the stay. Our dog was very happy and comfortable with Meerim due to her attentive, gentle, and loving nature - I would readily recommend Meerim to anyone looking for the best pet care around and we will definitely happily rebook!”

“Kingston had a great time and was very much cared for! Lia sent many videos and pictures and was flexible with pick up and drop off times. Would definitely use her in the future!”
