Pet care experience
Stanford student for pet care!
I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while i’m home for the summer. I’m vegan, I live alone, and I genuinely love animals and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule so I'm more than happy to keep your pets company, stick to their regular routines, daily walks, and make sure everything is taken care of. I'll always send plenty of photo updates too so you know they're doing great. I've taken care of dogs and cats for neighboring families and friends for many years, so I'm super comfortable handling pets with various different personalities and needs.

Ratings and reviews
Maggie was absolutely amazing! She was very responsive and kind and sent so many great pictures. When my dog was picked up, he was sad to leave her. She was great at following all care instructions as well. Definitely recommend her!

Maggie took great care of Chuy. She was a great communicator and gave frequent updates

I’m so thankful to Maggie for taking care of my pup when I needed a last-minute sitter! She was responsive and sent me updates throughout the day, and my fur baby took to her very well. Amazing experience!

Margarita took very good care of Buddy and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated! It was nice to see how he was doing and know he was being well cared for. We would gladly trust her with Buddy again in the future.

Margarita was amazing with my pup. She walked her twice, played with her, and was able to calm her down quickly after I dropped her off—my pup suffers from separation anxiety. She sent me photos of my pup throughout the visit. I highly, highly recommend her.

Schedule
I’m home for the summer and my schedule is incredibly open and flexible right now. Since I don't work a job, I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to hang out with your pets, stick to their routines, and make sure they're taken care of as if they are my own.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Safety is the main thing for me. I always double-check locks and gates, follow whatever feeding or walking instructions you leave, and keep a close eye on them. I've watched dogs and cats for family and friends for the past two years, so I know what kind of things can go wrong and how to keep everyone happy and safe.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning walk down to the beautiful downtown Palo Alto area right next to me, where your dog can enjoy the sights, people, and other dogs around us. Depending on their personality, we may stop to say hi to some friendly dogs along the way! Afterward, we’ll head home for water, food, playtime, and some time to relax. In the evening, we’ll take a calm stroll to a nearby Palo Alto park to wind down. Before bed, I make it a rule to always take them on a quick five minute potty walk so they can settle in comfortably and sleep through the night and also prevent any accidents.

- Please let me know about your dog’s personality, routines, and anything that will help me make their stay as comfortable as possible. I’d especially appreciate knowing about any special needs, medications, dietary restrictions, fears, separation anxiety, reactivity, or behaviors I should be aware of ahead of time. It’s also helpful to know how they typically interact with other dogs and people, what they enjoy doing, and anything that makes them feel especially happy or comfortable. The more I know about your pet, the better I can tailor their care to them!
