“Matthew and Katelyn were wonderful hosts for Desta. Their quick responses and clear communication made me feel confident that Desta was well cared for. I’d definitely book with them again.”

“Sarah was wonderful with my dog, super attentive and clearly cared a lot. She took him out on hikes and kept me updated with plenty of photos, which I really appreciated. He came back happy and relaxed. Would happily book with her again.”

“Tillana is so so sweet and took great care of our girl during the holidays. She’ll treat your pup like her own! We love the daily pupdates and pictures.”

“Shannon was absolutely wonderful with Dobby. I was able to relax on my vacation knowing my dog was having a vacation of his own with Apollo. She gave frequent updates with plenty of photos and was very communicative during the stay. I couldn’t recommend her enough.”

“This is our second time boarding and Becks was very well taken care of again. He had a small wound and Kimmy was very good about keeping it bandaged and clean. I got a lot of pics, which was great! Fully recommend!”

About: I've taken care of small dogs and large dogs since I was in middle school. I enjoy playing with dogs, giving them lots of hugs and pets, and taking them on excursions, whether it be to the dog park, beach, or a scenic hiking trail. I work part-time from home so I am able to spend lots of time with the fur babies in my care. I love to take them out for fresh air and exercise, and give them lots of love, pets, and attention. I have a fenced, grassy backyard and a friendly labrador retriever named Sadie who is very sweet and playful and loves having other dogs to play with. We have a doggie door so the pups have day and night access to the backyard to run around and do their business. I can easily crate your dog if that is something you prefer.
“My doodle Maya boarded with Jifu and Jessica for 12 days over the 4th of July. They updated me with pictures which was what I needed while away from my dog. They took good care of my dog. I like the fact that they also have a dog that was a good companion for my Maya. I would definitely use their services again for future boarding.”

“This was my first time using Rover service. I was worried in the first. But Manli and his husband were very nice to my dogs and very responsive. They sent me pictures of the dogs everyday and kept us posted all the time. The husband even slept on couch to take care of my dogs since they barked at the new environment in the night. Will definitely use them again in the future.”
“I highly recommend Ying for anyone seeking a reliable and attentive pet sitter. She was incredibly thorough, followed every detailed instruction perfectly, and kept me at ease with regular photos and videos. One of my dogs bonded with her immediately, which is the ultimate endorsement. I couldn't have asked for a more professional or caring experience!”

“Alissa was very attentive to Percy and kept us updated throughout the stay. Percy was acting a bit out of character when he first came to visit and was barking a lot. Alissa took many steps to manage his unusual behavior and kept me updated along the way. I was very appreciative that she was patient with him. He was very comfortable and happy with Alissa and I would definitely recommend her.”

“Levi had a great time staying with Guillermo and Siobhan. This couple really loves dogs. Their resident dog Maisie was a wonderful buddy for Levi and their large shaded yard provided a nice environment to run around and stay cool.”

“Margaret always goes above and beyond when she is caring for Enzo….he is a unique pup with allergies and Margaret is great about updating me on his skin condition and taking the extra time to provide a bath when he needed it to calm his skin. It makes me feel at ease when I am away knowing someone cares for Enzo as I would. Thank you Margaret!”

“Lia was wonderful in taking care of Belle for a week. This was the first time for Belle to be away from us. Lia made us comfortable by sending videos every day and keep in constant communication with the entire time. Lia’s Gigi was a great friend to Belle and they had a wonderful time. I would definitely ask Lia to dog sit in the future.”

“Cesar took great care of my dog! I received two detailed updates daily with pictures which I really appreciated. He even provided calming treats to my dog to ensure he was comfortable. It was very easy communicating with Cesar and he always responded in a timely manner. I highly recommend Cesar to look after your pet!”

“Rachel is a great provider and really took great care of our pup. She communicated proactively, frequently with pictures and videos and updates. She followed pup's meal instructions carefully and even bought few things as needed. She took our dog for 2-3 walks per day and treated him like her own pup while at home. We felt at ease while traveling that our pup was in great hands. I would definitely recommend Rachel to take care of your dog. Thank you Rachel!”

“Marivel really kept us informed and sent pictures everyday. Frisco seemed happy and adjusted, even though he's never been boarded before. He had the chance to interact with many different dogs and we're hoping that he's gets more easy going with our cat. Thank you, Marivel, for taking good care of our precious dog.”

“Pouneh was absolutely wonderful with our dog! He was so excited to see her and was treated so well the whole weekend he stayed with her! I really appreciated the excellent and prompt communication too!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life (at one point we had 5 at time!) love taking them for long walks, teaching them new tricks like weave (and handstand!), and engaging their minds with agility. My senior dog recently passed and while I am not ready to get a new dog just yet, I miss having a dog so want to occasionally dog sit to help others out with their dogs before getting another dog of my own. I work full time but occasionally work from home. For this reason, Thursday to Sunday or Monday is best for me. I am active and love going on walks, hikes, and runs in and around the beautiful Portola Valley neighborhood. I love to hang on the couch and snuggle in the evenings! Dogs (non shedding) allowed on the bed :) My large backyard is fenced. My husband Dave and I often are asked by friends to help train their dogs because we love to help and are good at it! :)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Menlo Park
Christopher was fantastic! He took such great care of our dogs and made the whole experience completely stress-free. He was incredibly communicative throughout their stay, sending daily updates and photos so we always knew how Kya and Roo were doing. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. It was clear our dogs were happy, comfortable, and well loved. We would absolutely book with Christopher again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and attentive dog sitter!

Ying watched my GSD while we were away. It was the first time he slept anywhere besides our house since we picked him up at the shelter 6 months ago. Ying was so fabulous she gave me frequent updates, pictures and videos. I felt so happy and reassured he was in the best of hands and I never had to worry. She took him out jogging and for long walks. He played with her dog and another all day long. Anderson is a high energy dog and he was happy and tired when we got home. I would not hesitate to use Ying again and am so lucky to have found her

Margarita took very good care of Buddy and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated! It was nice to see how he was doing and know he was being well cared for. We would gladly trust her with Buddy again in the future.

Kelly was amazing! She was incredibly friendly and took the time to meet with us since it was our first time using Rover. She was very responsive, communicated clearly, and made the entire process easy and reassuring. We felt completely comfortable leaving our Golden Retriever in her care. We highly recommend Kelly and will definitely use her again in the future!

My baby girl had a great time at Anam’s place. My baby girl is turning 12 this year and is a cancer survivor. She can not climb stairs and needs medical attention. Anam did a great job making sure she is taken great care of. Anam’s dog is such a sweetheart and they got along really really well.

This was our first time leaving our 13 month old dog with a sitter and it went great! Charlotte was very kind and assured me right away that she was well equipped to handle Theo. She sent lots of pictures and videos each day that we were away, followed our feeding and care instructions, and gave him a ton of exercise. He seemed very happy and we were so glad he was in such good hands while we were away!

Lia did an incredible job caring for our pup Foley. Foley struggles at bigger boarding options and can become very stressed. But Lia had a perfect set up for him with her lovely backyard, friend pup Gigi, and welcoming home. We would definitely trust her to watch Foley again (if him waking her up bright and early for food is not a dealbreaker for her…).

We asked Siobhan and Guillermo to watch out two dogs for a weekend. This was the first time away from home for one of our dogs since her adoption. They both did well. Right after arrival at their house, my dogs started to enjoy the scent of different dogs in their fenced yard under the redwood trees. It was like going to a dog park and socializing with different dogs. At pick up time, we asked Siobhan and Guillermo if they can care for them again on our next trip away from home.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
