“Margaret is probably the best dog sitter we’ve ever worked with. Let me give some context: our utterly cute dog was adopted in 2020 (pandemic dog) with already deep fear and trauma. We think something happened when she was a puppy that caused deep fear such as abuse or some sort of trauma. Basically, she was afraid of everything and utterly shy. We worked with multiple trainers for almost two years and finally got her to a good place. We learned with time and patience she gets comfortable with strangers and once you’re in her pack. You are there for life. She loves playing with dogs but dog parks would get complicated because other dogs sometimes would teach bad habits or become aggressive (trainers also mentioned things can escalate and certain owners have no control). We also learned she is scared of certain breeds and afraid of cats. But she has an incredible memory and is the smartest dog we’ve ever had. However, most people dog kennels, individuals have zero experience and patience. Given her memory, there are certain vets or dog daycares she will cry and try running away from if we are walking by. The true test of dog unhappiness. Fast forward to 2023, we’ve built trust and loyalty with our baby but the problem is she is still afraid of strangers and the unknown. She is al highly protective of her territory and will start barking (think a stranger walking up to me or a stranger entering our home). We’ve learned methods to make her feel safe and comfortable and ways strangers should approach. Basically it’s hard to find a dog sitter for her than the average dog. Most places are money machines and do not give her the time making her regress. Margaret is beyond words incredible. She knows how to work with all types of dogs including very shy dogs and dogs with behavioral challenges. She has ample experience and genuine care for animals. Also our dog is highly fearful of the breeds: huskies and German shepherds. Margaret has both and was able to get our dog comfortable going out on runs and walks with them. When we came to pick her up she was sad to go and saying bye to both Margaret, her partner John (another amazing human) and all their dogs. She loved all of them from Luma the chihuahua mix that made ours more social to the Willis and Jackson that made her confident to even Jackson who made her feel safe and like a queen. They even were flirting hahaha Never have we left our dog and received so many pictures and saw her so happy. She did not even want to leave when we picked her up and learned new commands in just one week like paw. Our dog even cried while we drove away and loved her new pack. Margaret said she fit right in. If Margaret and John open a doggie daycare, our pup would be there every day because we have never seen her so social and happy while remaining in a safe and controlled space. She was loved, fed like crazy (the way to her heart) but did not gain weight because of all the exercise, games and activities provided by this wonderful couple. Margaret is also an incredible trainer and has so much patience and love. I felt so easy on our holidays with my baby there, did not even think twice. We are beyond proud and since that week with Margaret she is a different dog. Sweeter, calmer and just more confident and trusting. Please open a daycare that this area so desperately needs. One thing- I recognize the price is expensive this was our biggest challenge but they are truly worth it!!”

About: I've taken care of small dogs and large dogs since I was in middle school. I enjoy playing with dogs, giving them lots of hugs and pets, and taking them on excursions, whether it be to the dog park, beach, or a scenic hiking trail. I work part-time from home so I am able to spend lots of time with the fur babies in my care. I love to take them out for fresh air and exercise, and give them lots of love, pets, and attention. I have a fenced, grassy backyard and a friendly labrador retriever named Sadie who is very sweet and playful and loves having other dogs to play with. We have a doggie door so the pups have day and night access to the backyard to run around and do their business. I can easily crate your dog if that is something you prefer.

About: I spent time as a SPCA cat socializer with perfectly healthy kitties and some with significant health needs. We were expected to keep them company whether energetic kitten, disconnected and scared cat or even sick cats being treated. About: I have been cat and dog sitting since I was 16! I have experience walking and pet sitting for neighbor’s, friend’s and family’s animals. I also grew up with dogs so I am very comfortable with all ages and sizes of animals! I have experience volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society from college so I have formal dog walking training! About: I’m an experienced dog sitter who had just relocated from San Francisco. I regularly watched a dog 3 times a week and can take up to 2 dogs at once. I've helped take care of my parents dog for 8 years since she was a puppy and I take her to the beach, for walks, to play at the dog park, and bathe her regularly. I make sure the pets have food and water. I've trained my current and past dogs (sit, stay, go home, come, leave it, look at me, and other commands). I am responsible and clean up after the animals whether it's poop or vomit. Furry animals make me happy. I'm extroverted, so I am also social and easy to communicate with. I can care for your pet as long as I'm available. I've a flexible work schedule, and am on holiday for two weeks starting the week of Christmas. I have a cat and dog that likes to run out of the door, so I am careful when going in and out of the house. I'd do the same for you. I make sure they've food and water. If the dog goes on a hike where there are tall grass, then I'd check for ticks after the walk and use a tweezer to remove the tick if needed. If the cat or dog has its tail between its legs, then I'd approach slowly and walk around them to not make them too uncomfortable. If the cat's tail is up and approaches, then I give him/her a scratch on the head or chin. If dog's tail is wagging, then I'd definitely pet him/her. If the pet has dietary restrictions, then I will follow the owner's dietary guideline.

I'm experienced with some of the more challenging aspects of caring for a pet, like giving them their medications, managing more complex care and hygiene routines. I'm a student at an Ivy League university, and I'm currently interning at a financial services firm this summer. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, and I look forward to doing that during my Fridays and weekends this summer when I'm off from work! My internship is fully remote on Fridays, and my weekends are completely open for me to spend time with your pet! I look forward to giving your pet my undivided attention! About: I’ve grown up with Labrador Retrievers my whole life and got my very first puppy when I was 15. More recently, I brought home a French Bulldog, and it’s been such a joy watching him grow from a tiny puppy into the sweet, fun 1-year-old he is now! Having pets has always been a big part of my life, and I truly love caring for them I work from home so I am usually pretty available! I do have a lot of virtual calls so I cannot usually do last minute walks but can plan around my day! I am completely free after 3:30 PM everyday. I have a French bulldog who loves to play and spends a lot of his time cuddled up with us. We also have a huge patio that is fenced in and a dog area to let them roam around and play.

About: I am taking a break from work and have the time to house sit and check in as well as board. I have done Rover for a few years now and have worked at dog boarding facilities. I am able to walk your fur babies in the morning and in the evening. I have experience with medication and injections for whom are needed. I have starting training experience and hope to learn more while watching my fur child Ruffles grow and enjoy life. It is true that Each pet has his/her own characteristics, so I try to find way to connect and gain there trust in anyway I can. I understand all pets have different characteristics and I will do everything possible to get to know your pet. I understood pets are a huge part of our familyand that is how they will be treated with love, understanding and compassion. Pets are truly men's best friend, and one that is always there to make our life so much exciting and fun. I can say at the moment I am able to fit any pet into mine and my own pet’s routine! Ruffles gets along with children , any size 🐶 dog and adults! I am trying to board only one pet at a time with my own pet at home just to be in the safer side. However, once your pet is at my home, he or she becomes part of the family instantly. They are allowed on top of furniture. My Ruffles is a non-caged dog but I do own a cage.
About: I have my own 7 year old corgi whom I love to take on social outings, and have always wanted to own a ranch to foster dogs and other animals. for now, this will do🤓 I enjoy popping in to see my friends’ dogs while they’re at work to take them out for potty breaks & play, and watching my friends’ dogs when they go on trips~ Currently on a 3 month LOA from my nursing job, but am planning on taking a break afterwards due to burnout. Because of that I’m flexible and able to adjust to whatever needs pets may have! Currently I wake up, walk Toast (my corgi), hangout with him for a bit and then run errands if there are any. I can then pop in for a drop in/walk elsewhere (and bring toast too possibly)! He’s an integral part of my life so he’s always involved if he can be! My husband is an anesthesia MD resident at Stanford so he’s often at the hospital with long hours — all that to say he’s not very high maintenance as well so I have more wiggle room with my schedule :) I love dogs, and will always treat yours like I treat mine :) Will leave Toast at home if your dog is not up for socializing, but can also bring Toast if your dog needs some doggie time.

“Margaret is probably the best dog sitter we’ve ever worked with. Let me give some context: our utterly cute dog was adopted in 2020 (pandemic dog) with already deep fear and trauma. We think something happened when she was a puppy that caused deep fear such as abuse or some sort of trauma. Basically, she was afraid of everything and utterly shy. We worked with multiple trainers for almost two years and finally got her to a good place. We learned with time and patience she gets comfortable with strangers and once you’re in her pack. You are there for life. She loves playing with dogs but dog parks would get complicated because other dogs sometimes would teach bad habits or become aggressive (trainers also mentioned things can escalate and certain owners have no control). We also learned she is scared of certain breeds and afraid of cats. But she has an incredible memory and is the smartest dog we’ve ever had. However, most people dog kennels, individuals have zero experience and patience. Given her memory, there are certain vets or dog daycares she will cry and try running away from if we are walking by. The true test of dog unhappiness. Fast forward to 2023, we’ve built trust and loyalty with our baby but the problem is she is still afraid of strangers and the unknown. She is al highly protective of her territory and will start barking (think a stranger walking up to me or a stranger entering our home). We’ve learned methods to make her feel safe and comfortable and ways strangers should approach. Basically it’s hard to find a dog sitter for her than the average dog. Most places are money machines and do not give her the time making her regress. Margaret is beyond words incredible. She knows how to work with all types of dogs including very shy dogs and dogs with behavioral challenges. She has ample experience and genuine care for animals. Also our dog is highly fearful of the breeds: huskies and German shepherds. Margaret has both and was able to get our dog comfortable going out on runs and walks with them. When we came to pick her up she was sad to go and saying bye to both Margaret, her partner John (another amazing human) and all their dogs. She loved all of them from Luma the chihuahua mix that made ours more social to the Willis and Jackson that made her confident to even Jackson who made her feel safe and like a queen. They even were flirting hahaha Never have we left our dog and received so many pictures and saw her so happy. She did not even want to leave when we picked her up and learned new commands in just one week like paw. Our dog even cried while we drove away and loved her new pack. Margaret said she fit right in. If Margaret and John open a doggie daycare, our pup would be there every day because we have never seen her so social and happy while remaining in a safe and controlled space. She was loved, fed like crazy (the way to her heart) but did not gain weight because of all the exercise, games and activities provided by this wonderful couple. Margaret is also an incredible trainer and has so much patience and love. I felt so easy on our holidays with my baby there, did not even think twice. We are beyond proud and since that week with Margaret she is a different dog. Sweeter, calmer and just more confident and trusting. Please open a daycare that this area so desperately needs. One thing- I recognize the price is expensive this was our biggest challenge but they are truly worth it!!”

About: I've taken care of small dogs and large dogs since I was in middle school. I enjoy playing with dogs, giving them lots of hugs and pets, and taking them on excursions, whether it be to the dog park, beach, or a scenic hiking trail. I work part-time from home so I am able to spend lots of time with the fur babies in my care. I love to take them out for fresh air and exercise, and give them lots of love, pets, and attention. I have a fenced, grassy backyard and a friendly labrador retriever named Sadie who is very sweet and playful and loves having other dogs to play with. I do my best to be flexible and accommodate each dog’s routine—whether that means early morning walks, regular potty breaks, or sticking closely to their usual schedule. If your pup is used to a 7am walk, I’m more than happy to start the day early to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I prioritize creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that helps every dog feel at ease, whether they’re in my home or their own. In my home, I have a private, fenced backyard that’s only accessible through my apartment, so your dog can safely enjoy fresh air. It’s partially covered as well, providing some protection from rain. Inside, I keep my space clean and dog-friendly, with cushioned area rugs to prevent slipping and give dogs a comfortable place to walk, play, or relax. I also provide cozy blankets and an outdoor dog bed so they have options for resting wherever they feel most comfortable. Cleanliness and routine are very important to me—I wash food bowls after each use and refresh water bowls daily. Dogs are welcome on my furniture, but I always respect and follow your home rules to maintain consistency. If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, I will reinforce those same boundaries. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and attentive to instructions. I carefully follow all provided routines, house rules, and notes to ensure your dog experiences as much consistency and comfort as possible while you’re away.
