I’ve been dog/cat sitting and dog walking consistently for over 8 years now. Ive have been volunteering with an animal rescue for going on 8-9 years now. I am very comfortable giving medication, insulin shots, etc. Ive worked with dogs as small as newborns and as large as 240 lbs and I am comfortable with all breeds of dog. I’ve had animals my entire life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I currently work at a pet food store, and I have the ability to take my personal dogs and dogs I’m sitting to work with me everyday. We have a large office space with lots of comfy lounging spots of all sizes. We almost have someone (whether myself or dog and cat savvy coworker) in there at any given time so they still receive almost constant supervision. When I’m not working I am a more active person and love hiking and love to go on walks and go to the park, of course any dog in my care at that time would have the opportunity to join me. In the past with seniors or dogs too young for walks I’ve used strollers, backpacks and wagons so that they never miss out on the fun. Your pets’ safety and happiness are paramount.
