About: I’ve always loved animals, and caring for them is something that genuinely brings me joy. In addition to raising my own pets, I’ve also helped many friends care for their dogs while they were away, so looking after other people’s pets isn’t new to me. About: A couple of years ago, I worked for Primal Canine Dog Training as a Kennel Tech and was training to become a dog trainer. As a Kennel Tech., I cared for about 20 dogs a day, all different breeds and sizes. I cleaned their kennel area, feed them, gave them water, took all of them on walks, did agility training through an obstacle course on-site, worked on their basic obedience, showered them, cleaned up any messes they made, and of course, gave them lots of treats, pets, and overall, love. Since I left Primal Canine, I have continued my dog care and training through working with owners like yourself in taking care of their dogs. I have been walking many dogs as well as dog/house sitting. The difference from working at Primal Canine and working as an independent dog caretaker is that I now have the opportunity to develop a stronger and closer bond with each dog I care for since I spend more time with them. I also used to live with two Pomeranian dogs and worked with dogs on film sets, filming them as they "acted" on command. To me, all dogs, no matter how big, are like little children. My schedule allows me to be flexible enough to adapt to your pets schedule! Thursday nights are when I'm on a tighter schedule but I'm glad to talk this over! I make sure to make their time away from you as close to their daily routine as possible. I make sure to know their likes and dislike to make them feel as safe and comfortable as possible. There are some dogs that do not feel good in loud and busy areas. So I make sure to go on walk them in quieter places. Also, if I am house sitting some prefer to co-sleep and I am comfortable doing so. Every pet care experience is catered to your and your pets liking :)

I have experience with small to medium-large dogs since childhood, and had a senior cat for the last 5 years. I am good at picking up on body language queues or behavior changes, especially in more subtle and shy pets. I have lots of experience with administering medications, including with dogs suspicious of pill wrap and cats who have figured out all nicer methods besides the pill gun/liquid syringe. I occasionally travel for contract work, but keep my calendar religiously up-to-date and have plenty of daytime/evening availability! The more time in advance I get, the more likely I can plan around your pet's needs and ensure availability. I make sure to ask the important questions upfront so to minimally disturb your time away! I also have a sixth sense for when pets get into things they aren't supposed to, and if house-sitting am attuned to their (& your belongings' lol) safety!

On walks, dogs stay leashed the entire time, I stick to routes I know well, bring water on warm days, and check paws and coat afterward. Before the first visit I make sure I have your vet's contact information and the location of the nearest emergency clinic. After every visit you'll get photos and a written recap, so you always know exactly how your dog is doing.

About: I’ve always grown up in a family with lots of pets, so I really miss having that connection with animals. To make sure every pup gets the attention they deserve, we will only host 1–2 dogs at a time.
