“Kimberly was excellent – very caring for our old dog, very responsible and responsive, and left our house better than she found it. We will definitely be using her again – in fact, I just booked her from another trip! Strongly recommend.”

“Katie was a hit with our two dogs right off the bat! From the first moment they met she immediately had their attention and enable them to take direction quickly. While we were away Katie took them to the park numerous walks spent tons of quality time with them and in general made the weekend as much a vacation for the pups as it was for us, the home was in great shape when we came home, and even personalized cute report cards for the pups! Book Katie while you have the chance!!”

“This was the second time Cj‘s watched our doggo in our apartment while we were on vacation. Both times were perfect and we already booked Cj for another upcoming trip. He took great care of our German Shepherd/Husky mix and from the frequent updates we could tell that our doggo had a great time. Cj even coordinated perfectly when the apartment complex scheduled an unexpected maintenance visit.”

“Amara was so friendly and flexible. The dogs really liked her a lot. She took very good care of our house and left it cleaner than she found it. We will definitely book with Amara again!”

“Sydney was wonderful with my dog while I was out of town. She asked great questions beforehand and obviously cared about trying to keep things as normal for my pup as possible. While I was gone, I trusted her in my home, and appreciated her updates along the way. It was clear Bailey enjoyed her time with Sydney!”

“Elissa did a wonderful job! She was a loving caretaker to our cat and our house was spic and span when we returned from our trip. Elissa was great to work with and patient with all our instructions. We recommend her!”

“Farzin was excellent!!! He provided great care for Fiona and we could tell how much fun she was having. He communicated well throughout his time watching Fiona. Thank you Farzin!”

“This was our second time booking Ghazaal for in home cat sitting and I definitely felt a lot more at ease leaving our cat because we knew she was in excellent hands. We got regular updates, Ghazaal is so kind and easy to interact with. All instructions were followed and our house was like she was never here, except for a very happy cat! We have already booked Ghazaal again!”

“Barbara stayed in our home to watch our two pups while we took a weekend trip. Prior to leaving, she came over and spent a significant amount of time to get to know and learn about our dogs. I was not at all concerned about leaving them in her care. When we got home not only were our pups well taken care of, our home was exactly how we had left it. I highly recommend Barbara.”

“Trina has stayed with our dogs twice now. She took great care of the dogs and the house, sent daily pictures and was an excellent communicator. She even asked if she could give them a little extra grooming, and did a great job at that too. I think she has a special way with dogs, and the dogs seem to think so too.”

“Shannon was responsive, responsible, and friendly. During the week she dog-sat our two dogs in our home, she followed our instructions perfectly, communicated with photos and updates, and left our house clean and tidy. She was patient with our little pug/chihuahua mix, who can be fearful and reactive. I would definitely use Shannon again!”

“John took excellent care of Lucy and the house while house sitting. Sent lots of updates and pictures so I felt I knew exactly how everything was going while I was away. Would absolutely love to have John take care of Lucy the next time we need to go out of town.”

“Arianna was really receptive to Willow's needs and very communicative. We really appreciate that she went above and beyond to give Willow company and to make her comfortable. She was also a terrific and considerate house guest. We recommend her wholeheartedly to other pet owners!”

About: We’re an animal-loving couple with plenty of experience pet sitting through various platforms, caring for both dogs and cats. Over the years, we’ve looked after pets of all sizes and personalities from playful puppies to shy and absolutely loved every moment of it. Walks, playtime, and lots of cuddles are guaranteed! At the moment our rental apartment does not allow pets so unfortunately we can’t host. But we are offering to take care of your dogs and/or cats at your place as long as they are vaccinated. I’m at home most of the day right now, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I follow a very structured daily schedule, which makes it easy to provide consistent feeding times, plenty of walks, and constant company for a pet. I provide a highly structured and attentive environment where a pet’s routine is the priority. Will follow your pets routine precisely; maintaining strict feeding, exercise, and medication schedules.
About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats from a very young age. I lived with two cats for most of my life so feel very comfortable being around and taking care of them. Recently returned to the US after living abroad. My schedule is fairly open at this time. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I’m very cautious and respectful of others’ spaces. While caring for your pet in your home, I make sure to follow all your instructions, keep things clean, and ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable. Your pet’s well-being and your home’s safety are my top priorities.
“Ian is absolutely the BEST!! They are so kind and considerate, send the best photos of the dogs and you can really tell they love what they do! Ian goes well above and beyond as well! Not only were my pups well cared for and relaxed when we got home, but the house was spotless and they even did the sheets and made the bed so we didn’t have to when we got home! Cannot wait to book again!!”

“Audra is very responsible and caring not just with Emi but also with our home, she is very communicative and send us updates about our dog and Emi loves her. I would recommend Audra to anyone :)”

“This was Akisha’s first sitting in this area and I will strongly recommend her for house sitting your beloved pets. She kept me informed me throughout via pictures and video messages and took a great care of my dog and the house.”

About: A large grassy area in front of the property, several dog beds, dog-friendly neighborhood walks,...ideal for a fun pet overnight stay. I sometimes may have 2 dogs at one time, and 3 would be a rare occasion, though in the past I have had 3 from the same household. I study massage and dog psychology. Dogs who love touch or massages will get plenty of attention. This is a dog-friendly apartment complex with a dog run and a large lawn. Quiet dogs are also allowed on the balcony for fresh air, relaxation, and bird and people watching. About this sitter: I raised two Scottish Terrier litter-mates from puppy-hood and have cared for dogs and cats in their homes or mine for months at a time, and I enjoy walking dogs. I am soft-spoken and very patient. Shy, or sensitive/scared pets often feel comfortable around me pretty quickly. Pets should have joy in their lives so I enjoy giving them extra attention to help alleviate some of the stress when their owners are away. For overnight care at a clients' home, I like to stay as light and self-contained as possible. I'm in this for the love of pets and like to leave as little a footprint as possible! Experience includes: dog owner, cat owner, dog sitting for over 15 different dogs and 4 different cats (up to 6 dogs simultaneously or combo of 2 dogs/2 cats who were housemates). Why I love dog sitting: I made my first dog friend when I was 6 years old. Lalli was a seeing-eye school drop out and the sweetest dog I'd ever met. My aunt already had 2 cats that I loved by that point. I ended up helping a senior dog get past her separation anxiety and she and her folks gained more freedom. About my yard: Large grassy area in front of the house. Dog park nearby with well behaved friendly neighborhood dog regulars. My experience administering oral medication: I have done it and I will do it if a pet is not a biter or scratcher. I cared for 2 dogs during their hospice. I am open to doing that (for animals and humans) at least to help provide respite for the primary caretakers. I am free to spend time with your dogs and/or house sit anytime. Dogs that stay overnight with me will have a day sitter and dog company during the day. I am willing to accept stays longer than one week but we must discuss first to see if my system works for your animals. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a park nearby and a large grassy area. I have an afternoon sunning deck, and plan potty breaks every 2-4 hours. Mini-massages and indoor play breaks are available throughout the day between dog naps.
Los Altos Hills pet parents share their Rover experiences
Korinne was fantastic. She took care of my kitty for 4 days and spent ample time with him, stayed the night, provided several updates a day and made me feel that he was well taken care of. Will definitely try to have her visit again in the future when I need help!

Cynthia did a great job taking care of Mabel over a 10 day trip. She was respectful of our place and left everything as it was once we got back. We got timely updates and did lots of activities with our pup who has a lot of energy. Would love to book her again in the future

Jaya was super accomodating and flexible with the dates. My dog Mila was super comfortable with her. Jaya had excellent communication and took great pics, kept regular updates. I was able to travel with peace of mind, so I will continue booking with her again for sure!

Genevieve took care of our dog Miso over the long weekend (house sitting) and did a stellar job. It’s clear she loves animals. She asked thoughtful questions during the meet and greet, and sent lots of photos and videos throughout her stay. She even left flowers and some baked goods for us after we returned. We would definitely rebook her!

CJ is a great pet sitter. He is extremely responsible and reaches out anytime there is a question related to the care of the pets (we have one dog and two cats). He gets to know the animals and their preferences. I would definitely suggest CJ to other people.

From first introduction to yesterday's assignment, Stephen was a 5-star performer and a pet's best friend! Highly recommend Stephen if you're looking for a dog and pet savvy person who's responsible, caring, and detail-oriented... and one who adores dogs and dogs (at least mine) adore right back. Stephen's care meant my dog got a "spa day" rather than a dull day... walks, treats, sunshine naps, and ear scritches all included.

Barbara was outstanding in every way, from our first communications through the end of the stay. She is an excellent communicator, was very comfortable with my senior dogs, sent photos and updates, left the house in great shape, and was a pleasure to deal with. I would be happy to have her come back.
I cannot recommend William highly enough! From the moment we left town, I knew Nala was in good hands. He was super-communicative, sending multiple photo and written updates every day, ensuring me that she was being cared and loved for while I was out of the house. I’ll be reaching out to him first when I need a dog-sitter again!

I’m the kind of person who cancels plans because I don’t trust anyone with my pets. Not exaggerating. I turned down a wedding because the sitter I’d booked sent me a photo of my cat and I could see the water bowl was empty. Drove home that Midnight. Afterwards, I just stopped looking. Easier to stay home than go through that knot in your stomach when you’re three hours away wondering if your dog is actually okay or if “he’s doing great!” Is just what they text everyone. So when I say I’d hand my keys to Marion tomorrow and sleep through the night, that should tell you something. The first time, I did a one-night trial. Figured I’d feel it out, pick up early if something was off. What happened instead I got a video at 7pm of my cat - who takes 45 minutes to warm up to anyone - asleep on Marion’s lap. Not posed. Just… settled. You know what your cat looks like when they feel safe. That was it. I’ve booked Marion six times now. Here’s what’s different. She actually learned my cat. Not “cats” in general - my cat specifically. Knows he won’t eat if the bowl is near the door. Knows he gets restless at 4pm and needs more play time. Knows that when he sits by the window he’s not being cute, he’s anxious, and the fix is getting on the floor with him, not putting on the TV. I stopped sending my usual paragraph of instructions after the third visit because Marion already knew everything in it. That’s never happened with any sitter, ever. The thing people don’t realize until it’s too late is that most pet sitters are fine… until they’re not. Until your cat eats something weird and the sitter doesn’t notice for six hours. You won’t know until you come home and your pet is acting different and you’re piecing together what happened from a timeline that doesn’t add up. By then you’ve already paid and left a review and the damage is done. Marion sent me a photo once of a tiny scratch my cat got on a bush during a walk. Unprompted. With a note about what she cleaned it with. That’s the difference between someone who watches your pet and someone who actually cares about what happens to them. I actually adopted two more cats since then. I wouldn’t have done that if I didn’t know marion was there for whenever I need to travel. Honestly? Part of me doesn’t want to leave this review because I don’t want her calendar to fill up before my next trip. But she’s too good not to share.

Kimberly was absolutely amazing! we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She sent daily updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, and her personality really shines through, she’s warm, funny, and genuinely kind. It’s clear how much she truly cares about the dogs. Roku and Toki were so well loved and cared for, and she went above and beyond not just with them but with our home too. She even rolled out the trash for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Roku can be a bit difficult on walks and tends to pull, but Kimberly handled him so patiently and confidently. That really meant a lot to us knowing he was in capable hands. We would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone attentive, responsible, and genuinely caring.

Anastacia was great with our two dogs. One of the dogs acts aggressive when she meets new people Anastacia was not intimidated and our dogs warmed up to her quickly. Anastacia was punctual, communicated well and sent lots of pictures. She stayed two nights at our house with the dogs. We were very happy with her and would use her again.

Trina was once again wonderful with our two little dogs, including an elderly chihuahua who required more special care. I felt confident leaving them with her, which was a great help in itself. She sent helpful updates and photos, and we came home to happy, well cared for dogs and a tidy house.

Zoe is awesome! She’s proactive, observant, and very easy to communicate with, and our slightly reactive dog took to her right away. After a week with Zoe our pets actually didn’t seem like they missed us at all when we came home from our recent trip and I think it’s because they were so comfortable with Zoe and she showered them with so much love and attention while we were gone. We will definitely be booking again with Zoe in the future!
