About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and families in my community. I’ve provided overnight and extended pet sitting, including caring for pets in their own homes while their owners are away. I’m comfortable following individual routines, feeding, walking dogs, playtime, and giving pets plenty of attention . I always make sure the pets in my care feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have an on-call job, so my schedule can be flexible depending on when I’m needed for work. There are times when I’m available all day, and if I am scheduled to work, I’m typically done by around 4 PM the latest. I’m able to plan ahead each week and communicate my availability clearly, and I’ll always make sure I can give your pets the care and attention they need. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so I can provide care that feels familiar to them. About: I've been around animals for as long as I can remember, starting with Ginger, my family's German shepherd and husky mix, four cats, fish, and pet rodents growing up. I later spent about two years volunteering at my local SPCA, working hands-on with dogs of every size and temperament, from bouncy puppies to nervous rescues. I've also had cats of my own as an adult, including two rescues, and fostered kittens before I started traveling. Since then I've cared for pets through farm stays and housesits across Costa Rica, Panama, Spain, and Canada — dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, a donkey, as well as an adult pet rabbit. 😊 I'm comfortable administering medication, working with anxious or senior animals, and managing multi-pet households. I'm calm, attentive, and treat every home and animal I look after like my own. I'm currently transitioning to the San Mateo County area temporarily starting early November and building my schedule around pet care full-time, so I have plenty of flexibility for house sits, and daily visits, including extended or last-minute stays. I don't currently have a conflicting 9-to-5, which means I can commit fully to a pet's normal routine for the length of a booking rather than fitting care in around other work. Since I focus on house sitting, I stay at your home rather than asking your pet to adjust to a new environment. I follow feeding, medication, and walking routines exactly as instructed, keep the house clean and secure, and send regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away. I don't bring other pets into the home, so your animal gets my full attention for the whole stay.

I’m a physician currently doing dedicated research, which allows me to work from home between lab visits and meetings. If I list myself as available then I will be home nearly all the time, so your pet will have plenty of company and attention. I’ll confirm my schedule with you before booking to make sure it fits your pet’s needs. There are no other pets in my home. Having had both cats and dogs since childhood, I miss their company and would love to care for yours! I’ll give your pet time to settle in, follow their usual feeding and care routines, and provide playtime or quiet companionship depending on their personality. You can expect regular photos and updates while you’re away.

About: I had a Dachshund for 13 wonderful years before she crossed the rainbow bridge, and caring for her was a special part of my life. I have five years of dog- and house-sitting experience, including walking, feeding, and providing attentive care for pets. Her extremely well-socialized and well-behaved dog Oliver stayed as well, and our dog Oslo had the time of his life with his temporary live-in pal. Deborah was great about getting to know our needs and tailoring the service to them by offering various options for ways of doing things. We got regular detailed updates and photos during our trip which was great. Deborah was very prompt about responding to communications and left the house very clean, we couldn't tell she was there. Deborah was fantastic and we would definitely have her house / dog sit for us again!”
