“We had another wonderful experience! They were incredibly communicative, sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the stay, and made our dog feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We will definitely continue to use them in the future and highly recommend them!”

“Simba had a great day at Elise's. She went out of her way to ensure he had the greatest care. She kept sending pictures and updates throughout the day and was always reachable when needed. Highly recommend her!”

“Rose was excellent! Super flexible and took good care of my 7 month old puppy. We did a meet and greet prior to her babysitting and when I brought my puppy back for sitting, he was super excited to see her! It looked like he had a blast from day care & when he came home he was so worn out lol. I’m very happy she was kind to him and kept him stimulated and entertained! Would definitely book again”

“Our FMD Noodle had a great time with Phina! She came home tired from plenty of exercise in the backyard. Noodle tends to be scared in new environments (especially places with hardwood floors), but she seemed relatively at ease at Phina's place - Phina really knows how to connect with dogs! Her big heart and immense patience make her a great dog-sitter, especially for fearful dogs.”

“We booked with Yenju again because of how well she cared for Miso the first time. Once again she provided plenty of updates, check ins, and pictures. She was easy to communicate with, asked questions on Miso’s habits and what she likes, and gave her plenty of attention and mental stimulation. Thanks again!”

“Shruti, her husband Gaurav and their dog Toto is an amazing family! I was extremely pleased with how they took care of my dog, Loochie. They gave her quality time, played with her and gave her an extremely comfortable environment to snuggle for hours! Loochie would love to be back with them again!”

“They were great! They sent near hourly updates, included him on their trail, and provided blankets so he didn’t struggle on hardwood flooring. Next time I’ll provide additional blankets!”

“Hong watched our dog Lylla for a daycare, and Lylla had an amazing time!! Our dog isn't the most trusting with people but she absolutely loved spending time with Hong. I was also sent updates throughout the day which was very much appreciated!! We will most definitely be bringing Lylla back to spend time with Hong 💙”

“Lavanya did an excellent job communicating and taking great care of Sheru. She sent regular updates throughout his stay, which gave me peace of mind. Sheru was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for when I picked him up. Her dog, Coco, is also very friendly and was a wonderful companion for Sheru. I would definitely recommend Lavanya!”

“Pallavi was very caring for Zoey. She stayed with Zoey throughout the day, slowly introduced Zoey to their golden retriever, and asked questions about Zoey to ensure the best before looking after her. Pallavi cares about the small details about your pet and was very loving with Zoey. I recommend Pallavi!”

“I feel very lucky to have found and engaged Ram and Jaya for doggie day care. They are nice people with big hearts for dogs: it was clear throughout our interactions that they understood and focused on my senior dog's needs. They took the time to get to know her, and made sure that they could provide a safe and comfortable place for her to stay while I attended an event. Their home is uncluttered with a lovely backyard; plenty of space for doggie movements. Communication was prompt, clear and helpful. I hope to contact them again for future needs.”
About: I've been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember and truly enjoy spending time with them. Whether it's going for walks, playtime, feeding, or giving plenty of love and attention, I make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and comfortable. I also have experience with basic obedience training and understand the importance of keeping a consistent routine. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I'll treat your dog like one of my own and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If dogs could leave reviews, mine would definitely give me **two paws up!** 🐾 As a full-time stay-at-home mom, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, care, and quality time for your pup throughout the day. Your dog will receive lots of love, supervision, playtime, and cuddles in a calm and caring home environment. I also have a very flexible schedule and am generally available any day of the week for boarding or daycare. I have a very friendly and patient golden retriever of my own that will keep your dog company. We live right near a wonderful park which would be perfect to walk your dog and let him/her play. Your dog will be super pampered with lots of love and cuddles.
About: We’ve had pets all our lives. Currently, we have two cats. For the most part, someone is always WFH. The only day one of us isn’t WFH is Thursday. If we know early enough, we can flex our schedules if any sitting is needed on Thursday. We’ve watched bunnies, cats, and dogs for friends/family including giving medication. We have had no aggression from our pets with the pets we’ve watched. We have a second room(atm being used as an office/guest room), so if you want your pet separate from ours pets, that is something we can accommodate. For dogs during boarding, our household prefers dogs that tend to ignore our cats. Also, we have a preference for senior dogs since they tend to be low energy and do not require long walks to use the restroom. For cats, we have experience with all kinds of energy and ages. If you have a cat with a lot of energy, our Taro girl has shown that she loves playing with all the energetic kitties and helps them come out of their shell. However, both our cats can adapt to senior cats as they both love to lounge. We are willing to negotiate our prices if you believe your pet to be low maintenance or if for example doggy daycare, your pet would be with us for less than 7 hours. Just ask and we can see what we can do during the meet and greet. There is usually always someone at home except Thursday. If you need sitting help on a Thursday, reach out early and we can see about flexing our WFH schedule for that week. One of us is a morning person and the other an evening person in case you have a pet with a weird schedule. We ask for a clear schedule such as when to walk and feed and follow it. This information will always vary depending on the pet or even if they are on medication. For all pets, we’ve given them some space, especially from our pets and seen if they can interact or not depending on what their owners want. We also try to incorporate playtime if they want that.
“Nicole is awesome! She sent me updates throughout the day which I really appreciated receiving at work. My dog gets nervous around bigger dogs and avoids them but her husky was well behaved which was evident by how comfortable Zoey seemed around her. Nicole walked Zoey wI highly recommend Nicole if you want to know your dog will be well taken care of.”

About: We have shared our home with dogs and cats for over 30 years. For more than two decades, we've served as a foster home for Furry Friends Rescue, caring for dogs and cats of every age, breed, temperament, and medical need while they waited for their forever homes. That kind of fostering means we've handled it all: bottle-feeding newborn kittens, house-training anxious rescue puppies, managing senior pets with arthritis or special diets, and giving extra patience to animals recovering from neglect or trauma. We know how to read an animal's body language, spot early signs something's wrong, and adjust our approach to fit each pet's personality rather than expecting them to adjust to us. We no longer have pets of our own, which means your pet gets our full attention, energy, and home, without competing with a resident dog or cat for space or affection. Our house is calm, comfortable, and set up for animals to feel safe. We do still have foster cats that are friendly with other animals. Whether your pet needs a quiet, structured routine, extra TLC, or just an experienced hand who won't be fazed by anything, we've likely already seen it and handled it with care. Pet care isn't squeezed into our schedule, it is our schedule. Both of us are home full-time, with no kids and no pets of our own, so your dog(s) or cat(s) gets our undivided attention rather than fitting in around a job or a household routine. With two of us in the home, we can cover any schedule your animal needs, whether that's specific feeding times, medication a few times a day, or simply consistent company and playtime throughout the day. If one of us needs to step out, the other is always here, so your cat is never left alone for long. We're also equipped for whatever the situation calls for. We have crates and carriers on hand, and a large SUV if transport is ever needed, whether that's a vet visit, a pickup or drop-off, or anything else that comes up. Because we no longer have pets of our own, your cat isn't sharing our time, space, or attention with a resident animal. Our days are genuinely built around being available and present, which is exactly the kind of routine that comes from over 20 years of fostering. We own our home, which includes a large fenced yard and patio, giving pets plenty of safe space to run, play, and explore outside. We have no neighboring animals, so there are no surprise fence-line encounters or added stress from unfamiliar pets nearby. For dogs, we get outside for walks every day, rain or shine, so your pet stays on their normal exercise routine even while away from home. Indoors, pets have the run of a calm, comfortable home rather than being confined to one room. We tailor our approach to each animal's personality, whether that means a structured routine, extra quiet time, or simply consistent companionship throughout the day. For longer stays we can send pictures too. We have an established relationship with our own veterinarian and are comfortable handling special needs animals, including pets on medication schedules, seniors with mobility or dietary needs, or animals recovering from illness or injury. This comes directly from over 20 years of fostering through Furry Friends Rescue, where we regularly cared for animals with medical or behavioral needs that required extra attention and consistency. Whatever the service, boarding, drop-in visits, or house sitting, your pet gets a safe, secure environment, plenty of space, and two experienced caregivers who know how to watch for and respond to their individual needs.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fremont
We had a great experience with our dog sitter. She was compassionate and caring with our pup, communicated well, and kept us informed throughout. She was well prepared, receptive to our instructions, and very accommodating of our pup’s routine and needs. We felt comfortable leaving him in her care and would happily recommend her!
Lavanya did an excellent job communicating and taking great care of Sheru. She sent regular updates throughout his stay, which gave me peace of mind. Sheru was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for when I picked him up. Her dog, Coco, is also very friendly and was a wonderful companion for Sheru. I would definitely recommend Lavanya!

It was my dog's first day boarding. She is 11 months old. Pratima was very patient with her & kept us updated on how our pup was doing. I soon realized she was in good hands. Pratima gave me a quick update towards end of the day when i went to pick up my dog at the end of the day. I am planning to try night boarding as well with Pratima. Def. recommend her for a home like environment for your pet

Entrusting your pet with someone you do not know is high anxiety for a first time parent for a doggy daycare experience! We had the opportunity to meet Sarala and Appa Rao and their pup Chai prior to dropping Bella off for her first time for doggy day care. We felt very comfortable leaving our girl, knowing she was with the right family to care for her while we were away. She may have had a bit of separation anxiety but Sarala and Appa Rao knew exactly what to do and made her feel at home right away. Their pup is an Australian Shepard which has a similar personality and behaviors as our Border Collie. Couldn’t have been a more perfect match!! Thank you for making us feel very welcome in your home as well as Bella and caring for our pup as if she was yours!!

My dogs had the best time! We tested dog daycare before scheduling an overnight as one of my dogs is shy. He had the best time and they made sure he was included with the rest of the dogs. We are so happy we found Marina & Anwar. A place where I won’t have to worry about my pups while my family is away.

Rose is an awesome pup sitter . One can tell , she truly enjoys being with dog and an experienced dog mom . My doc feels at ease at her place , ate well , napped well and was content n relaxed . Her pup Teddy is very friendly and a great companion to my dog .

Mengchen has been supportive, flexible, and communicative weeks even before my booking. He and his wife are really sweet and punctual, even though my trip required me to drop off my dog at an unusual time. He sent me updates throughout the day and even took my dog in his car to go walk a trail. Amazing service, I’ll be reaching out again!

Dana was very communicative and flexible! She shared updates throughout the day and was very understanding when my schedule unexpectedly changed. My pup also required supplements at mealtime and instructions were followed. I didn’t have to worry at all about my pup while she was in her care :)

Hui was the perfect sitter for my pup!! Kind, knowledgeable, communicative, accommodating. Eevee had so much fun with Hui and was well taken care of. She provided photos/videos every 2 hours, played with her, and took her for an hour walk. Eevee was pooped after! Highly recommend Hui and will gladly book again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fremont commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
