I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great dog walker!”

About: I've been a devoted pet caregiver for 9 years, caring for cats, rabbits, and hamsters with love and patience. Over the past year, I've also gained hands-on experience raising my own energetic Border Collie, who is now 10 months old and about 44 lbs. Through daily training, walks, playtime, and caring for a high-energy puppy, I've developed a deeper understanding of dogs' physical and emotional needs. I know that every pet has a unique personality. Whether your pet is playful, energetic, shy, or senior, I always provide patient, attentive, and personalized care to help them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I also enjoy sending detailed daily updates and plenty of photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I'm currently an MBA student and have just completed my first year. During summer break, I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to your pets. During the school year, my classes are primarily in the evenings, allowing me to continue providing reliable daytime care with minimal scheduling conflicts. Because I currently rent my home, I'm unable to offer boarding services. However, I'd be happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home through drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. My goal is always to treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Since my MBA program starts in mid-August and all my classes are in the evenings, I currently have a flexible schedule during the day. This allows me to dedicate ample time to new opportunities, projects, or commitments without scheduling conflicts. I’m available throughout the daytime and can easily adapt to different time zones or urgent tasks while attending evening classes. I currently rent my home and am unable to offer boarding services at my place. However, I am happy to provide loving and attentive pet care by visiting your home for drop-in visits, dog walking, or house sitting. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, and I’m dedicated to making sure they receive the care and attention they deserve while you’re away.
“Suzie was a tremendous help with my senior CKD cat, Molly, during two home subcutaneous fluid sessions. On the first day, I took the lead and Suzie assisted with line priming, valve operation, and helping keep Molly comfortable and still during the procedure. On the second day, Suzie took the lead and successfully performed the needle insertion and fluid administration while I assisted with positioning Molly, valve operation, and fluid flow. Molly's care requires patience, teamwork, attention to detail, and a calm approach. Suzie was reliable, professional, gentle with Molly, and adaptable when our roles changed from one day to the next. On the day Suzie took the lead, Molly received her full fluid treatment with no observed leakage, and Molly remained comfortable, mobile, and relaxed afterward. I would gladly work with Suzie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable help with a pet who has ongoing medical needs.”

“Lynette was super awesome and was kind enough to work around my random schedule. We were waiting for our newborn to arrive so there was an unknown with booking the correct dates. Lynette worked with me to ensure my doggo would be taken care of while we were in the hospital. I will for sure ask for her help in the future!”

“Ashley did a really great job taking care of Trina during our leave (for almost one month). She timely refilled food and water, and spent a lot of time playing with Trina. Moreover, Ashley also took good care of my home and make sure things in order. After each visit, Ashley shared nice photos and a detailed write-up about the visit. Now Ashley became a good friend of Trina.”

About: As a proud parent of a 6-year-old Ragdoll, cats are a central part of my life. I routinely pet-sit for friends during their travels, which has given me extensive experience managing multi-cat households. I understand feline body language, respect their boundaries, and know how to handle everything from energetic play to managing separate feeding schedules and keeping litter boxes pristine. Whether your cat is a social butterfly or a shy kitty who needs time to warm up, they are in safe hands. For the pups, I am all about staying active! I am the go-to hiking and jogging buddy for my friend’s Golden Retriever, so I am well-versed in handling various breeds. My flexible work-from-home schedule blends seamlessly with pet care, allowing me to easily step away for reliable morning cat drop-ins or mid-day dog walks while giving your pets the consistent attention they need. As an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, tennis, and Pilates, I have the natural stamina and energy to match active breeds like Golden Retrievers, Doodles, or Corgis on the trails, yet I deeply cherish the quiet, grounding moments—whether that's practicing a workout with a kitty on the mat or providing patient companionship for a shy cat. Because I love to travel myself, I understand exactly how stressful it can be to leave your furry family members behind, which is why I am dedicated to providing the ultimate peace of mind with prompt communication and plenty of happy photo updates. When caring for your cats in the comfort of your own home, my top priority is maintaining their familiar routines to minimize any stress while you are away. I treat your home with the utmost respect, ensuring that everything from meticulous litter box scooping to pristine feeding areas is kept exactly as you like it. I know that cats are creatures of habit who feel safest in their own territory, so I tailor my visits entirely to their unique comfort levels—whether that means engaging an energetic breed with interactive toys, giving gentle chin scratches, or simply offering a quiet, reassuring presence nearby for more independent kitties. You can travel with absolute peace of mind knowing your home is secure and your cats are receiving dedicated, loving care, complete with detailed updates and plenty of photos after every single visit.
About: Dogs make my heart happy, and so do cats! :) I loved the times that I got to spend and care for my beloved Moki who went to heaven in Dec. 2023. I miss her every single day. I work as a substitute teacher and painting instructor, which provides me with a flexible schedule to pursue my hobbies and interests. One of my passions in life is dogs. I volunteer with Pets in Need by participating in their Doggy Day Out program. Back in high school, I was voted Most Dependable, and I believe I still hold that title dear to heart whether it's with family, work, friends, and clients. I would do my best to make sure your furry best friend gets lots of pets, play, and potty breaks. :) My schedule is pretty flexible since I work as a substitute teacher and painting instructor. I can easily block off dates so that I can be available. In the summer time, I also work as a summer camp art counselor. I have updated my schedule with the dates that I’m available. :) I know what it's like to have someone reliable and trustworthy to care for your furry best friend. I know that you can depend on me because I will love and care for your pet as if she/he's my own.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Fremont
Shirley took great care of our cats while we were away. She sent detailed updates after each visit, spent time playing with them, kept their litter area and water fountain clean, and even vacuumed around the litter box before we got home. It was clear they were comfortable with her, and we really appreciated the extra care she put into everything. We’d definitely book with her again.

This was our first time using Rover to find someone to check in on, feed, and care for our cat, Potato, while we were traveling outside the country for two weeks. We were a little nervous leaving him for that long, but Chenqi (and her husband, Zhaohan) made the entire experience easy and worry-free. Every day, they arrived reliably, fed Potato, cleaned his litter box, refreshed his water, and even spent time playing with him so he wouldn't feel so lonely while we were away. It was clear they genuinely cared about his well-being and weren't just stopping by to complete a checklist. Chenqi and Zhaohan were also excellent communicators. They kept us updated with messages and photos (which were great because we missed seeing Potato more with each passing day), paid close attention to Potato's behavior, and even alerted us when they noticed a small change in his appearance. They also kept us informed about his litter box habits, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. Their attentiveness made it clear they were truly looking out for him, not just completing the basics. Since this was the first time we'd ever been away from Potato for this long, we were especially anxious during the first few days of our trip. Chenqi and Zhaohan quickly put those worries to rest. Knowing they have cats of their own made it even more reassuring—they clearly understand cats and treated Potato with the same love and care they would give their own. We wouldn't hesitate to book Chenqi and Zhaohan again. Having such trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable sitters means we can travel in the future knowing Potato is in excellent hands. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet sitters.

This was our second time hiring Paige, and she was just as wonderful as the first! She was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and easy to work with, even when we had a few changes. She took great care of our outdoor cats, kept us updated, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We truly appreciate her kindness, reliability, and communication. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire Paige again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!
Great experience! Yi-ting was super reliable, on time for all three visits, and took excellent care of my cat. She even cleaned cat bowls and watered my plants, which I really appreciated. My cat really loved her, and I had total peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend!

Jill was wonderful. She was so patient with my shy cats and made sure they ate! She also cleaned up after them when they were messy. I really appreciated all the great photos. This was the first time my cats and I had a non family member take care of the cats, and Jill took care of my anxiety as well as my cats’ needs.

Diana was AMAZING. She saw our sick cat on very last minute notice, worked so hard to get her meds in (even though my cat can be resistant), made sure my kitty was super comfortable, sent us ABUNDANT photos, put out a whole array of different foods from different places in our apartment as we were trying to get her to eat, etc. the list goes on. We were so incredibly worried about our kitty and Diana put us at ease with her care. We would hire her again in a heartbeat. She was also just so kind, patient, generous, and communicative the whole way!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
