“Elena was wonderful. We used Elena for morning drop-ins for 9 days, primarily to feed our 2 dogs. She communicated well, sent pictures of our dogs each day, and was prompt. Our fur babies were very comfortable with Elena. We highly recommend Elena and plan to use her again, and in fact, we have already booked her again.”
“Dani provided excellent drop-in service for our two cats. She is incredibly thorough and reliable, always showing up on time and making sure their feeding and litter needs were met perfectly. Most importantly, she was so nice and attentive to the cats during her visits. We came home to two very relaxed and happy pets! We highly recommend her.”

About: I've been raised to love animals since childhood, and we've had numerous dogs and cats at home growing up. My mother taught me a great deal about treating animals with care and love. I am retired and am available for cat sitting on weekdays between 8 am to 5 pm. I look forward to doting on and pampering your precious ones when they are under my care. With utmost care and attention in your own home. I know that cats are happiest in their own home, doing their own routines. Their comfort is my top priority.
“Yilian was wonderful with our dogs. She provided drop-ins to primarily feed our fur babies; and she ensured their blankets were in their beds, tidied up the garage and yard, and played with them while she was at the house. She communicated well and promptly, sent us updates and pics. We will definitely book Yilian again!”

“Shanyu helped care for my cat, Pippa, during the Thanksgiving holiday! She wrote very detailed and thorough summaries, plus shared lots of cute picts from her check-ins. Pippa was a very happy client and I am happy to recommend Shanyu to anyone needing cat sitting care!”

“Jennifer followed my detailed instructions very well and sent me constant updates with pictures while I went on a long deserved vacation. Kitty got sick a week prior so I was worried that she hasn’t fully recovered. Luckily there were no issues. Thanks Jennifer for everything! Highly recommend to others.”

About: Full time artist here who loves dogs and cats. I've always been surrounded by dogs and cats back home and would love to give my customize my love to them like my art. I'm currently working from home. I like taking a walk in the morning and evening. I don't mind walking any time of the day though. I will have a separate space for them where they can play. Apart from that I will not take them elsewhere since it's not fenced
About: I have owned dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. I have been dog sitting for our neighbors and friends for the past 12 years. I am experienced with handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments. I am used to medicating pets, both my own and for the ones I am temporarily taking care of. I have volunteered with the Humane Society at different stages in my life and have fostered dogs and cats with them. I am now in a situation where I have a house and yard big enough to enjoy the company of more dogs or cats. I love animals and have two dogs and a cat. I work from home and can devote 100% attention to the animals I am taking care of. I work from home at least 4 of 5 days. I go on 30-45 minute walks twice every day and my puppies get access to our yard throughout the day. For cats they have access to a separate area of the house that has doggie gates, in case they want their alone time. I have a fenced yard that the puppies have access to during the day. They are never left outside unattended and will be always accompanied by a human. I also have doggie crates and beds inside the house if that's what the puppy prefers. For cats they have access to a separate area of the house that has doggie gates, in case they want their alone time.

About: I have always grown up around animals my entire life. We have trained our dogs from puppies and up and litter trained our cats, etc. I love all dogs and cats, i currently have my first cat that is mine and not as a family pet and I love him so much! I love to spoil him with lots of attention. However, I love dogs just as much and love to burn energy with them and spoil them with attention as well! For dogs I am a student athelete in college so I love to keep them active and entertained! I'm currently a student athlete at Cal State East Bay, I typically have practice in the morning around 9-12, and after that I will be home to give attention and give potty breaks until I go to class for about an hour and then come back and spend the rest of the day with your animal! I can take them for walks or have play time for both cats and dogs I can comply with any request to keep your fur baby safe! I can let them be unleashed in a fenced area and just keep an eye on them, Or I can keep them on the leash and walk around with them as they explore! I can take them for runs and walks play fetch with them, and pet them until they fall asleep! I can easily adapt to any special routine!
About: I’ve been the go-to dog person in my circle since I was 14, and I truly love it. I have hands-on experience with all kinds of pups, my current specialty is caring for high-energy and anxious breeds—think German Shepherds, working lines, and dogs who really keep you on your toes! I understand how to bring structure to chaos and calm to nerves, whether I’m helping a reactive dog settle into a new routine or making sure an energetic pup gets the physical and mental outlet they need. I’ve trained, walked, fed, bathed, and bonded with dogs of all ages, and I always tailor my care to what your dog needs to feel safe and happy. I’m currently working part-time and caring for my two dogs, Rory and Kiara, so I have plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-ins during the week. I’m available every weekday and Saturdays for drop-ins and walks. I’m not available on Sundays due to ongoing sport training with my German Shepherd, Kiara. I’ve got firsthand experience caring for and training high-drive, anxious, and strong-willed breeds—including my own! I prioritize structure, exercise, and emotional regulation, so your dog will be in confident hands. Since I currently have two dogs at home, I’m not accepting new dogs in my own space, but I’m happy to care for yours in an environment they already feel comfortable in!
About: I have been taking care of various farm animals, dogs, and cats since as long as I can remember! I’ve also had pets my whole adult life, spanning from dogs, cats, rats, and reptiles! I am currently a part time college student, which means before 7pm, I have all the time in the world to hang out with your pets! I take care of others pets the same way I do, and i respect that as the important parts of families like they are. In my clients homes, I will make sure that their pets are able to have many different avenues of activity, while still keeping them safe, and providing the mental stimulation they need, meaning lick mats for dogs of any size, and different puzzle games for cats and dogs alike!

I am in communication with the owners and ensure good care for the pet and can help with some home desks as well.
About: I’m a huge dog lover who’s very fortunate to have always been around them. I’ve grown up with big and small dogs and play with the dogs at the shelter regularly. My pup (10 year old terrier mix) gets daily walks, cuddles, and is best friends with all the small dogs at the dog park. Dogs are so loving and deserve to be treated with the same love and care. I am available early in the mornings everyday (before 10am and after 5pm on T and Th and before 2:30pm M,W,F.) I’m available all day on weekends and holidays. I try to stay home as much as I can. If I’m not home, my mom and older sister are. I feed them breakfast and then go on a neighborhood walk at around 8am. If they cannot walk, I have a pet stroller. When at home, they will lounge around inside or outside. Backyard door remains open during the day so they can come inside and outside as they please. The yard is fully fenced. If it’s a hot day I will give them a bath, set a fan, or go somewhere cooler like the marina.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sorenson
Sharon was great looking after our cat. She takes lots of pictures, before and afters of the food/water bowls and little boxes, plus ones of our cat when he comes out. This time, our cat was having stomach problems and she made sure to check in with us about it and was so great about having to clean up multiple diarrhea poops on the floor. Would definitely book her a 3rd time (but hopefully she wont have to clean up such a mess).

Mary was an excellent sitter! She came ahead of time for the meet and greet, took care of the cats as expected on every day consistently. It was a relief to know the cats were taken care of, to be able to have her be booked on short notice and I really appreciated her flexibility as well. Would highly recommend!

Mila is very sweet, punctual, and flexible to work with. My cats went straight to her during our meet-and-greet, which I had never seen them do with a stranger before. She is a great communicator and took tons of pictures and videos during her visits. My older cat has a history of UTIs, and my other cat occasionally has loose stools, so Mila carefully reported the quality of their pee and poop in the litter box each time. When the weather was warm, she made sure the temperature in the house was comfortable. She has great attention to detail, and my cats love her! Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
